2. Mounting

The Moving Head can be mounted in various positions. Always use

3. AC Power

switched circuit and ensure proper Earth Ground connection. Follow
the specified wire connections for Live, Neutral, and Earth.

4. DMX Linking

Link the Moving Head to a DMX controller using a 3- or 5-pin DMX
cable. Consider using a DMX terminator for long cable runs or noisy
environments.

5. Operation Instructions

Refer to the control panel for settings and use the Joy Wheel to

1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for selecting this product. The Moving Beam 7R is a beam moving head with OSRAM lamp. Carefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been received in good condition. Contact your supplier immediately and retain packing material for inspection if any part is missing or damaged.

The product is for indoor use only. Always turn off, unplug power and allow fixture to cool before servicing. Ensure that fixture is properly grounded. Please keep this User Guide for future consultation. Always make sure that you are connecting to the proper voltage and that the line voltage you are connecting to is not higher than that stated on decal or rear panel of the fixture. Always disconnect from power before servicing or replacing fuse. Make sure power cord is never crimped or damaged.

2. SETUP
2.1 Mounting The Moving Head is fully operational in any mounting position, hanging upside-down, side mounted, or set on a flat llevel surface, etc.

IMPORTANT!!! Safety cables must always be used when unit is celling or truss mounted. The safety cable must be capable of holding 10 times the weight of the fixture. The equipment must be installed by professionals.

DANGER OF FIRE! When installing the device, make sure there is no highly- inflammable material (decoration articles, etc.) within a distance of min. 0.5 m.

2.3 AC Power The fixture is designed to work on AC 100-240V 50-60Hz. All units must be powered directly from a switched circuit. This unit cannot be run on a rheostat or dimmer circuit even if used solely for a 0% to 100% switching.

WARNING!!! All fixtures must be connected to circuits with a suitable Earth Ground.

2.4 DMX Linking You can link the Moving Head 7R to a DMX controller using a 3- or 5-pin DMX cable.

It is recommended to use a DMX terminator for installations where the DMX cable has to run a long distance, or is in an electrically noisy environment. The DMX terminator is simply an XLR plug with a 120 resistor connected between pins 2 and 3,which is then plugged into the output XLR socket of the last fixture in the chain. Please see illustrations below.

4. General Maintenance 4.1 Fuse Replacement
a. Unscrew the fuse holder and remove the damaged fuse. b. Replace with the same type fuse (F7A/250V) and screw fuse holder back in its place.

4.2 Cleaning
Dust build up reduces light output performance and can cause overheating. This can lead to reduction of the light source’s life. We recommend frequent cleaning of the fixture. When cleaning, please use a moist, lint-free cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents.
4.3 Lamp replacement The moving head is equipped with an Osram 230W lam. Follow the procedure below to safely change the lamp.

1. Turn off the product and disconnect it from power. Wait at least 15 minutes for lamp to cool down. 2) Use 1/4 turn screw driver to remove 2 head covers. See Figure 1. 3) Remove the fan that blows out (not the other one) by 2 screws to access the lamp. See Figure 2-3. 4) Push the lamp reflector downward meanwhile grasp the lamp base to pull it out. 5) Remove the 2 wires connected to the lamp by the spade connectors. 6) Reverse the steps above to install the new lamp.

Warning! DO NOT touch the lamp without wearing gloves to avoid leaving grease on the bulb or on the contacts that could reduce the lamp’s life.

Caution! Always disconnect the product from mains power and allow it to cool down before any services.
