INTRODUCTION
This Glow Plug checker is designed to test the condition of diesel engine glow
plugs status quickly and easily. It is applicable on or off the vehicle and
can be used on 12V or 24V system. Large graphics displays on its LCD screen
makes it easy to read and understand the test results.

Power supply: 3V (2 x 1.5V AAA Batteries)
SECURITY
WARNING:
Do not use this glow plug checker to measure current (Amps). Never (measure
Volts) apply voltage to this device! To do so will damage it.
This user manual tells how to use and perform the required procedures for
checking the
Glow Plug. Safe and effective use of this Checker is very much dependant on
the user following the normal practices and procedures outline in this manual.

Ensure that the vehicle ignition is OFF, before connecting or disconnecting the glow plug.

Do not disconnect the glow plug power while the engine is very hot. Allow sometime to cool down before removing.

Never lay tools on vehicle battery. You may short the terminals together causing harm to yourself, the tools or the battery.

Do not operate the Tester in wet or very damp environment where there is condensation.

Do not use the Tester for another purpose other than which is designated for.

Do not operate if the Tester is damaged and never disassemble the unit.
It should be checked by qualified service personnel only. -
When not in use, keep in a safe dry place and out of reach from children.
Note: The warnings, cautions and instructions given above may not cover all the situations and conditions that may occur. Common sense and cautions are factors that cannot be built into this Tester, but must be adhered by operator.
CALIBRATION
It is advisable to calibrate the AC 5300 before using. Use the red test probe
to touch the black alligator clip before powering on. Power on the unit by
pressing and releasing the Glow Plug button.
Long press the button while the boot-up screen is still on until reaching the
end of the Auto-zero countdowns.
The glow plugs can now be tested accurately.
Disconnect the voltage supply from the glow plug on the vehicle.
Connect the black alligator clip to the vehicle earth.
Turn the analyser on by pushing and releasing the glow plug button.
Touch the “positive” end of the glow plug with the tip of the red test probe.
The AC 5300 will take a reading every few seconds and the results are
displayed on the LCD as follows:
