Important Notes

  • This safety and operating instruction should be retained for future reference.

  • Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected.

For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.
Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  5. Installation – Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  6. Power sources – This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.

  7. Water and moisture – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).

  8. Object and Liquid Entry – Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.

  9. Servicing – Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

  10. Replacement parts – When replacement parts are required, ensure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part.
    Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.

  11. The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C.

  12. ESD hints – If the product maybe reset or not reset to operation of control due to electrostatic discharge, just switch off and reconnect again, or move the product to another location.

  10. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Install backup battery power: push out the battery compartment door (at the bottom of unit), insert 2 AA size batteries (not include). Make sure that the inserted battery is in correct position according to the engraved positive and negative polarity symbol. The battery power is use to backup clock and alarm setting only.

Note:

a. Please deposal the battery in environmental friendly way, please reference and follow the requirement by your local government.
b. Please do not install the battery with mix up brand; please take out the battery in case of no operation in a long time to avoid liquid leakage issue.image

Using the unit on a table: You can put the unit on an even table. Pull out the stand to keep a better sight and adequate space for sound, as the speakers are equipped at the bottom of the unit.

Wall-mount the unit
Important: You should only use the mounting accessories (included) when you mount the unit. Use of unapproved accessories that have not been designed specifically for this unit may lead to safety hazards.

  • Retract the bottom stand before mounting the unit; use the provided cabinet mounting template to location where you want to mount the unit. Drill the mounting holes directly then done, remove the template. To reduce the risk of danger, please consult the technician if the location you want to mount the unit is firm enough to hold weights and safe before you do the mounting.
  • Push out the mounting plate (refer to illustration (a)).
  • If you find unit has to be mounted too high to reach, use the supplied long plastic poles. Insert the long plastic poles into the position holes (refer to illustration (b)).
  • Position the mounting plate and fix it on the mounting place with the supplied screws.
  • Slide the unit back to the mounting plate.

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place any heating or cooking apparatus beneath this unit.image 2

Power connection and unit on: loose the attached power cable, then Insert the power plug into the household AC wall-mount socket in order get the power source. The display will light on, and auto scan and save the available FM station. Short press down the ON/OFF knob to standby on/off the unit.
Clock time setting: in standby mode, press and hold setup button 2 seconds till “24H” digits flash on display, then rotate the timer knob to select the time format between 12 or 24 hours; press the setup button again to confirm the selection, and skip to set up hours; repeat previous operation to finish the rest setting for hour/minute/year/month/day/ RDS/DT(auto dim on/off ).
Clock time updating synchronization by RDS : When you select RDS on, there will have a clock icon appear under the clock time of display; the clock can update synchronous in case there have clock signal from the broadcasting radio station.
Alarm setting: in standby mode, press and hold the alarm button 2 seconds till the hour digit flash on display, rotate the timer knob to adjust the hours, press alarm button again to confirm your selection and skip to minute setting; repeat the previous operation to finish the setting for minute/alarm source(radio/buzz/off ).
Note:

  • There unit will revert to standby mode automatically in case of no further operation last 10 seconds.
  • The alarm will be activated in case of alarming time is being, Short press down the ON/OFF knob to cancel the alarm voice, and the alarm setting will remain, and wake up again in the coming time of next day.

Countdown time setting for cooking: the unit includes 2 set countdown timer (T1 and T2) which is good use for cooking. The unit will alert by buzzer in case of the setting time is being. In standby mode, rotate the timer knob to adjust the timer 1 range between 1 min to 3hours 59mins, press down the timer knob to confirm the setting, then the T1 icon and countdown time information will show on display; short press the Timer 1/2 button till the T2 icon flash on display, and rotate the timer knob to adjust the timer2’s setting range between 5 minutes to 3 hours 55 minutes, press down the timer knob to confirm it. Then the timer 2 will start to work.
Note:

  • The time format will in “ MM: SS” show on display in case of the setting less than 5 minutes; and switch to “ HH:MM” format in case of setting equal or above 5 minutes.
  • The unit will send a short alarm each when the remaining countdown time arrive 30s, 15s, 10s, 5s; and become to continuous alarming when the time is being; short press down the ON/OFF knob to cancel the alarm.
  • When there only set up one countdown time no matter about Timer1 or Timer2, please press and hold the timer knob can cancel it; short press the time1/2 button twice, then press and hold the timer knob can cancel the time2 setting when both Timer1 and Timer2 were set up.

Radio operation
Before listen to the radio, please full extent the tail antenna in order to get better reception. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the output level for listening. In case of noise output in station, you can try to switch mono or stereo mode (long press mono/stereo button) for clear sound listening.
Scan and all-in-one scan: press and hold the search +/- button 2 seconds to auto scan the available station in upward or downward frequency, the unit will stop and broadcast the available station; press and hold the AMS button 2 seconds to scan and save the available station automatically (max support up to 20 stations); short press the preset +/- button to switch the preset station. The unit also can scan and save available station automatically when you connect power first time.
Station manual memory: when you tuned a favorite station by scanning, short press the memory button first, press preset +/- to select the preset station number you desire to save, short press the memory button again to confirm it; then the current station will be saved.

Display brightness adjustment: press and hold the dimmer button 2 seconds to adjust the brightness of display between high and low. When the display is in low level, press anyone button can light up 10 seconds and off automatically.
Auto dim: in case of you select DT ON during clock time setting (a DT icon shows on display); the display will auto dim between 23:00~5:00.
LED light : short press the light on/off button to turn on or off the LED light, and the light will light up 120mins and off automatically in case of you forget to turn off it.
