SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
The choice and use of the components were made taking into account the conditions of use, and the life expectancy of the product. No protection or signaling will ever be sufficient if the person does not apply the required precautions; the manufacturer shall not be liable for an incorrect use.
Do not remove, change of disable the SAFETY DEVICES fitted by the manufacturer. This product must not be used by people (aged 16 or less) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.
The operator must be trained before being allowed to use this product.
GENERAL SAFETY STANDARDS
Protect the cable from sharp edges, flames or hot parts. Avoid exposing yourself and others to needless risks. Do not tamper with the object.
Whilst winding the cable, never release it until it has gone back all the way inside the casing. Only use accessories and spare parts authorised by the manufacturer.
Components:

  1. Car power plug
  2. Cable stop pad
  3. Housing
  4. Wall bracket
  5. Power cable
  6. Door

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The cable winder must be safety secured to the wall or to the ceiling with 2 screws Ø6×40 mm or longer (FIG.1), verifying beforehand the solidity of the installation surface.
The cable retainer (2) must never be moved towards the plug.
Connection to the power supply must be made by qualified staff in compliance with standards enforced in the country of use.
Connection to earth is essential.
The product must be fitted in a dry place, at a minimum height of 1.40m from the ground.
The wiring must be permanent, protected by a 16A curved C bipolar magneto thermic and a 30mA type A differential.
For vehicles with high frequency dispersion such as the Renault Zoe it is necessary to use a special differential which is immune to that type of disturbance.
The auxiliary relay (FIG.4) (7) can perform different functions depending on the position of the first two dip switches (8) as shown in table “A”, and can bear a maximum load of 3A – 250V AC.
To access the auxiliary relay (7) open the door (6) by unscrewing the screw (FIG.3).
In case of overheating, detected by the temperature probe, the power supply is gradually reduced to decrease the internal heat dissipation; as the temperature goes down, its nominal value is slowly restored.
This condition is signalled by short flashes of the red power LEDs (11).
To clear the error, press and hold the buttons (9 and 10) (FIG 5) simultaneously for 5 seconds, or turn off the power and re-power the winder.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Winding
Pull the cable out to the desired length. Cable locking is inserted every 50 cm. A click is audible.
Performance
Carefully pull out the cable, a click is heard. As soon as the click is no longer audible, the locking is exceeded and the cable can be rolled up again.
Never release the cable during winding; danger of injury!
Removing the product, in part or in full, is prohibited.
Operation
The operation of the reel is completely automatic, just connect the plug (1) to the appropriate connector on the car and the recharge starts automatically. At the end of the charge it returns to the idle state allowing the plug to be detached from the vehicle. The recharge can be interrupted at any time by acting on the vehicle in charge.
In the event of a power failure the recharge starts again by itself.
The front buttons (9) and (10) change the maximum power level delivered to the car.
At the selected level only one of the seven red power LEDs (11) on the right of the buttons lights up.

Power levels

Watt| 1.4| 1.7| 2| 2.4| 2.8| 3.2| 3.7
Ampere| 6| 7| 8| 10| 12| 14| 16

The 3 leds on the left (12) indicate the state of the reel.

  • Off : no vehicle connected
  • Steady green: vehicle connected and ready for recharging or charging completed.
  • Solid blue: charging in progress.
  • Flashing red: charging error condition, charging interrupted. The same luminous indications are shown on the external ring nut (14).

The blue WI-FI LED (13) lights up only when the reel is connected in “Network mode”.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CHARGER WITH WI-FI INTERFACE
Stand-alone mode:
The cable reel generates a free Wi-Fi network called EV-WB-XXX ( XXX = to the serial number of the device) (no security WPA) to which you can connect with a device (PC/tablet/Smartphone).
In this mode it is possible to connect only with one device at a time, and the blue led (13) of the panel (WiFi) remains off .
N.B. It is possible/recommended to enable protection (WPA / Password) (18) to avoid unwanted access.

CLAS OE 2001 Wallbox Wifi Reel - APP

Switch off the “mobile data” connection before connecting to the Wi-Fi network.
Once connected to the Wi-Fi network of the device, open an Internet Browser (supported Firefox – Chrome – Safari) and write on the address bar 192.168.1.1 (FIG. 6)
Network mode:
When switched on, the Wi-Fi interface tries to connect to the external network, the blue LED (13) flashes, when the connection is established the blue LED (13) remains on steady.
With connection problems (incorrect password, incorrect security type, etc.) the card makes several attempts and eventually goes into stand-alone mode.

Wi-Fi symbol: indicates the quality of the signal (blue coloured bows)
Charging time: indicates the car’s charging time.
Energy: indicates energy transferred to the car, it is an estimated quantity based on the selected power level and the elapsed time. The real energy is always lower than this value because the selected power is the maximum power that can be taken from the car, but this can autonomously choose to charge at a power lower than the level set on the charger.
Power adjustment bar (slide) (16): moving it adjusts the power in steps of 20W.
BUTTONS:
On & off : resumes and stops charging.
Cautions: enabling or disabling notice generation (available only in the external network mode and after being set up).
Limit: provided to enable the limit function. If enabled, it is displayed under a bar that allows to set after how many Kwahu of charged power it is automatically interrupted (15). The “limit” function is not maintained in the event of a power failure: when the reel is turned off and on again, the function is disabled.
Setup: select the configuration page (FIG. 7).
Info: displays information data (17) Serial number, PUK unlock code, firmware version, assigned IP address and internal temperature (17). We advise you to write down the PUK code at the first connection, because it allows you to access the device if the access password is set and forgotten.
Timer: enables the display of the bar below that allows you to adjust the delay to departure. By enabling this function, the charge starts after the pre-established delay (useful for those who have dual-rate tariff s).
Stand alone Wi-Fi network (18): the only parameter that can be set is to enable and set any password to access the WiFi network. If set, the WPA protection method is used. N.B. To save the data press the button “Update parameters” present at the end of the section.
N.B. It is possible/recommended to enable protection (WPA / Password) (18) to avoid unwanted access.
Parameters for connection to the existing WiFi network (19): by pressing the “View scan results” button, the list of WiFi networks found is displayed, from which you can choose which one to connect to. If requested, the password and all the classic parameters of a network configuration must be set. We advise you not to use the DHCP automatic mode because you are then unable to know the IP address of the device which, in this case, is automatically allocated by the system (if not looking at the router configuration), necessary to then connect via the existing WiFi network.
If you do not use the DHCP protocol then you need to set a free IP address compatible with your WiFi network, the subnet mask (typically 255.255.255.0), the gateway address of the router and that of the provider DNS (if you do not know them, you can use the standard Google addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Alert management (20): these are forwarded by sending an e-mail. You can select which events cause the alert to be sent, and then set the sender e-mail parameters (SMTP Server, Ethernet Port, User ID, Password, sender’s address) and the recipient’s e-mail address. The generation of warnings can however be enabled or disabled using the appropriate button on the main page. They can only be sent when the charger is connected to an external WiFi network that has internet access.
Miscellaneous (21): allows you to set 3 more parameters. The minimum selectable power that can be left at 1380W (minimum required by the standard) or increased (example for the Renault Zoe which requires a minimum power of 1840W). The language of the texts of the HTML pages and the time zone.
Check for updates: present only if connected to the existing WI-FI network (22)
Allows you to check if a newer firmware version is available than the one in use. In the affirmative case this is downloaded to an internal memory, if the process is completed (it takes about 1 minute) another button appears which, if pressed, enables the next time the charger is switched on, the firmware update with the new downloaded version.
