AUTOCLAVABLE ADULT/UNIVERSAL/CHILD CONE POSITIONER
INDICATION:
The AUTOCLAVABLE ADULT/UNIVERSAL/CHILD CONE POSITIONER assists in guiding the
angulation of the dental X-ray equipment, in periodontal procedures, resulting
in standardized and clear radiographic images.
COMPOSITION
Thermoplastic, pigment and non-toxic silicone.
PIECES
Positioner for upper and lower incisors and canines.
Positioner for upper right and lower left molars.
Positioner for upper left and lower right molars.
Note: to take lower teeth, the sides of parts 2 and 3 are reversed.
Positioner for radiography bite wings. interproximal
Storage pot (non-autoclavable).
MODE OF USE:
How to place the x-ray film:
Firmly place the radiographic film in the position indicated in the figure,
between the holder (for film) and the pressure device.
- A – Film support.
- B – Pressure device.
- C – Bite device.
- D- Base of the positioner.
Radiography positioner:
For the piece to be positioned in the patient’s mouth, the film and the tooth
must be in parallelism. During the positioning of the upper and posterior
teeth the archwire must touch the forehead of the patient. In a posterior
radiograph the bite is always in the area of the anterior teeth. When you want
to dissociate overlapping roots mesialize or distalize the bracket in the
mouth, by about 20 degrees horizontally, then you get a distalization or
mesialization without distortion.
Radiographic take:
The constituents of this product should be used as shown in the illustrations.
The X-ray Angle is correctly matched to the position of the film and tube
parallel to the positioner.

STORAGE:
Store the package in a clean place away from direct sunlight. Temperature
between 3 °C to 50 °C and humidity up to 75 RH.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Exclusive use of the professional. Do not use the product without prior
cleaning and sterilization.
CLEANING
Before starting the cleaning process, remove the biting device from the parts.
Remove organic material using ultrasonic cleaners with enzymatic detergent
(minimum 3 enzymes) at dilutions recommended by the detergent manufacturer.
Then wash with running water.
Pack the pieces in sterilization wrapping (envelopes of surgical grade paper)
and put them in the autoclave with temperature from 121 °C to 134 °C,
observing the recommendations of the autoclave manufacturer’s instruction
manual. The pot and cap are not autoclavable, they are only used to store the
product after sterilization. Remove the bite device from the positioner to
autoclave.
Sterilization is valid for one week if the package is not violated. Chemical
disinfection can also be performed using, for example,0.2% peracetic acid
solution for 1 hour. Repeat the process after each use.
EXPIRATION DATE:
After opened the positioners have an expiration of 50 sterilization cycles.
DISPOSAL MODE:
The product must be disposed of according to the legislation in force in your
country.
