DESCRIPTION

longlass C is a self-curing glass ionomer cement for fixing crowns, bridges, orthodontic bands and prosthetic pieces in general. When mixing the powder with the liquid it forms a fluid paste that is easy to apply and has excellent adhesive resistance on enamel and dentin. A product of excellent biocompatibility and low risk of sensitivity.

INDICATION OF USE

IONGLASS C is indicated for fixing crowns, bridges, orthodontic bands and provisional cementation of prosthetic pieces in general.

COMPOSITION

• Powder: Glass Powder.
• Liquid: Polyacrylic acid.

MODE OF USE

1. The operative field must be kept free of contamination. Use effective absolute isolation or relative isolation.

2. Clean the area to be worked on thoroughly and then dry thoroughly. Ensure that there are no residues of other products that could have a negative effect on the properties of the material.

3. Gently shake the powder before use to homogenize the product. For accurate liquid dosing, expel air before dispensing the product and turn the bottle upside down.

4. Prepare the material in the following proportion: 1 shallow measure of the powder dosing spoon to 1 drop of liquid. Using the mixing pad or a glass plate, place the powder and liquid side by side. Slowly add the powder to the liquid with the aid of the plastic spatula for homogenous mixturmis obtained. ‘Taketcare that the mixing time does not exceed 40 seconds.

5. Apply the material while still glossy using a Precision pistol (Maquira) ОГ suitable instrument, taking care not to incorporate air bubbles.

6. The ideal working time is a maximum of 3 minutes. The maximum setting time is 6 minutes.
   Note: The temperature range for the given times is 18 °C to 32 °C. Temperatures above decrease the working time and temperatures below increase the established times.

7. During the setting phase, avoid contact with saliva and water, as the material is vulnerable.

8. Excess material can be removed with an explorer probe during the plastic phase of the product.

9. After use, rinse used materials with cold water before material residue solidifies.

WARNINGS:

• Exclusive use of the dental surgeon.
• The proper proportioning of the phases (powder and liquid) must be observed.
• Do not mix the powder or liquid of this product with any other glass ionomer based material.
• This material when in contact with eugenol, phenol or paramonochlorophenol decreases the adhesive strength, therefore it should not be used in association with these products.
• Check for the total absence of eugenol in the area, as it interferes with the setting of the material.
• In addition to adhering to enamel, dentin and cement, this product also adheres to stainless steel, tin, or tin-oxide-coated platinum, and gold. However, it does not adhere to porcelain, pure platinum, or pure gold. Do not use in the cementation of laminated veneers and bonding of brackets.
• Do not allow the product to come into contact with the eyes, soft tissues or skin. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of allergic reactions discontinue use immediately. If necessary seek medical assistance.
• Do not use the product after its expiration date.
• Single use product.
• Reprocessing forbidden.

PRECAUTIONS

• Wear PPE when handling the product, including gloves and goggles. it iS recommended that patients also wear protective eyewear.
• Absolute isolation of the operative field is recommended when handling this product, since loose objects can be accidentally swallowed or aspirated.
• After use, close well the powder and liquid bottles to avoid contact with humidity.
• Keep out of reach of children.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to product components.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT CONDITIONS

Store product closed package, at temperature up to 30 °C, humidity up to 75 UR, in a dry place, protected from light and heat.

DISPOSAL

The product must be disposed of according to the current legislation of your country.

The expiration date that appears on the packaging represents the maximum period for using the product. Do not use after expiration date.
