Indication
The product is indicated for performing impressions of the dental arches, both in the double-impression technique or in the simultaneous impression technique. It is indicated in impressions for fixed and removable prosthesis, for orthodontics and study models.
Product technical specifications:
Flex-Sil is an impression system made of polisiloxane, a condensation-type
silicone elastomer, composed of: Flex-Sil Putty – High viscosity base paste
Flex-Sil Light-Body – Low viscosity base paste Flex-Sil Catalyst – Catalyst

Flex-Sil is compatible with all the materials for confection of models. The use of conventional disinfectant solutions does not change the structure or the surface of the impressions. Flex-Sil Putty and Flex-Sil Light-Body contain chlorhexidine in their formulations, with the aim to reduce the microbial contamination of the impressions, preventing cross-contamination during their handling in the environment of the dental office and the prosthesis laboratory. When sold individually, Flex-Sil Putty, Light-Body and Catalyst are refill compounds for exclusive use in the system.
Composition
Flex-Sil Putty – Polydimethylsiloxane, Vaseline, Talc, Quartz, Starch, Mint Flavor, Silica and Chlorhexidine. Flex-Sil Light-Body – Polydimethylsiloxane, Silica, Pigment, Mint Flavor, Starch, Quartz and Chlorhexidine. Flex-Sil Catalyst – Vaseline, Tin Dioctil Acetate, Dioctil-Tin Carboxylate and Alkyl Silicate Compound, Silica and Pigments.
Validity date: 3 years after manufacture date.
Use instructions
Flex-Sil Putty
- Dose the product, using the measure spoon, and eliminate excess.
- Put the dosed quantity on the palm of the hand and impress over it the contour of the measure spoon.
- For each measure of Flex-Sil Putty used, dose a string of Flex-Sil Catalyst corresponding to the diameter of the circle marked by the spoon.
- Fold the putty mass over the catalyst, and mix it vigorously with the fingertips, until the mass comes to a homogeneous color, for at least 30 seconds.
- Put the material inside a tray and take it into the mouth, making pressure for a few seconds.
- Keep the material inside the mouth until it completely sets.
- Clean and dry the impression, to guarantee a good cohesion with Flex-Sil Light-Body.
Flex-Sil Light-Body
- Over a glass plate or a mixture pad, dose equal lengths of Flex-Sil Light-Body and Flex-Sil Catalyst.
- With a spatula, take one of the components and mix with the other.
- Mix them vigorously with the spatula until a homogenous color is obtained.
- Apply the mixed pastes with the spatula or a svringe for elastomers.
- Proceed the impression technique of choice of the professional.
- Take the tray into the mouth, making pressure for a few seconds.
- Keep the material inside the mouth until it completely sets.
Note: Residues of material kept at room temperature have an increased setting time. For that reason, the setting verification must always be checked inside the mouth.
Warnings and special care:
In case of contact of the catalyst with the eyes, wash thoroughly with water
and search medical assistance. Be sure that the packages are well closed
immediately after use. Silicone elastomers are chemically resistant, so avoid
staining clothes. Keep out of reach of heat. Professional use.
Storage:
The product must be kept at room temperature (15 to 30 °C), inside its
original packaging.
