maQuira HEMOLIQ Topical Agent Solution for Hemostasis and Gingival
Retraction
PRESENTATION
1 Bottle with 10 mL.
DESCRIPTION
Hemoliq is a topical agent, in solution, for hemostasis and gingival retraction. Hemoliq is used for bleeding and gingival crevicular fluid control. This hemostatic action is due to the astringency (tissue contraction) promoted by aluminum chloride, which consequently promotes blood vessel contraction within the tissue. Hemoliq does not contain epinephrine. It is non-toxic and highly safe to use. The tissues involved return to their normal condition within 1 hour.
INDICATIONS
Indicated for hemostasis and gingival retraction, acting as an adjunct during cavity preparations for restorative purposes or dental prosthesis, when a bleeding-free field is required. Also used in combination with retraction cords, increasing the retraction power.
COMPOSITION
Alcohols, aluminum chloride, hydroxyguinoline sulfate and purified water.
MODE OF USE:
- With the aid of a cotton ball soaked in Hemoliq, compress the area where hemostasis is desired until bleeding stops.
- For prevention of bleeding during application of cervical matrixes, apply Hemolig to the cervical area prior to use of the matrix. By preventing this bleeding, contamination of the restorative material is avoided.
- Observation: in cases of very intense bleeding, a small blood clot may be formed. If it happens, wash with water to remove it. That will not interfere on the hemostatic action.
PRECAUTIONS
Hemoliq must be applied to the bleeding surface in a maximum amount of 1 mL
for up to 15 minutes. Higher exposition dosages or time may cause irreversible
gingival recession.
WARNINGS AND SPECIAL CARE:
Use the product only for its intended purpose and as indicated in the
instructions for use. The product promotes temporary hemostasis in cases of
minor bleeding. Heavy bleeding may not be contained by the product and should
be treated by appropriate methods. The product may cause temporary
irritability, due to its low pH. Apply the product only to the area to be
treated and avoid prolonged contact with the skin. Incase of prolonged
contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Some irritation of the treated area may
occur due to the acidity of the product, however, this is reversible. Avoid
ingestion. In case of ingestion, administer plenty of water. Do not use the
product on people with hypersensitivity to the product’s compounds.
Professional use.
VALIDITY:
The expiration date on the packaging represents the maximum time the product
can be used. Do not use after expiration date.
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Keep the product always in its original package, properly closed. Store at
room temperature (15 to 30 °C).
