DESCRIPTION

Maquinox is a facemask used for maxillary protraction in orthodontic treatment.

INDICATION

The facemask is used for protraction of the jaw line, exclusively for orthodontic treatment. It is intended for the correction of Class III malocclusion, when the main objective is the reverse traction of the jaw line. This is a mechanical, orthodontic and orthope- dic procedure, whose main function is the correction of the dental/skeletal problem.

COMPOSITION

Stainless steel, polypropylene, brass, and non-toxic organic pigment.

MODE OF USE

  1. Fit the pieces 1, 2 and 3 according to the size of the patient’s face using a screwdriver. Loosen the screws, position the parts and then retighten the screws.
  2. It is mandatory to remove with pliers the excess of the mask body, just below the patient’s chin, to avoid puncture accidents in the patient’s neck.
  3. The mask rests on the patient’s forehead and chin and in position by the force of the elastic, which attaches the intraoral to the extra-oral device.
