Instruction Manual 37% ACID GEL – Acid conditioner for enamel and dentin

PRESENTATION:

3 syringes with 2.5 mL and 3 tips.

DESCRIPTION:

Acid Gel is a conditioner based on phosphoric acid at 37%, being the most efficient and used to promote definer­ libation of the enamel and/or dentin, providing higher and better retention of adhesive systems and resinous materials.  It’s proper viscosity provides a safe application, without outflowing  danger and the presence of stain provides a better view of the region to be conditioned.

INDICATION:
Indicated for enamel and dentin surface conditioning.
COMPOSITION:
Phosphoric acid 37%, chlorhexidine digluconate, thickener, stain, and water.

MODE OF USE:

1. Prepare the region to be conditioned and then clean and dry it;
2. In very deep cavities, perform the protection procedure of dentin-pulp complex with a sealing material or cavity base;
3. If required, proceed with isolation of the area to be conditioned;
4. Insert the tip on the syringe;
5. Apply the Acid Gel on the enamel and/or dentin;
6. Leave for 15 to 30 seconds on the enamel and 1 5 seconds on the dentin;
7. Rinse the place with plenty of water, using oil free water jet;
8. Dry the dentin with cotton or absorbent paper and the enamel with air jet. If required, dampen again the dentin with small cotton balls;
9. After the application, dispose of the fitting and cap the product;
10. Proceed immediately with the restoration procedure, according to the selected technique;
11. After the application, dispose of the tip and cap the product;
12. After applying the Acid Gel, the dental surface must be washed with plenty water jets to complete the acid gel removal;
13. The product was not designed to be used with other drug products/medical equipment;
14. The product was not designed to be in contact with the soft tissues of the mouth.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Restricted use of specialized professio­nals in dentistry, according to the local legislation and with specific training for your handling. Follow strictly the instructions provided under Instructions of Use. During the handling, the user must wear protective gloves and safety glasses. The patient shall be protected using apron and safety glasses. Do not leave the product to be in contact with the skin, eyes, and mouth soft tissues. If that happens, rinse the place with plenty of water. In case of rash, if the symptoms persist, get medical advice. The areas you do not want acid conditioning must be protected with the use of Polyester Strips Aaron Maquira®. The tips are of single use and must be disposed after use. Conditioning can be inefficient in case of poor hygiene of the area, presence of variable degrees of fluorosis, presence of imperfect amelogenesis, inappropriate drying of the area or contamination with oil during the drying process. In case of poor hygiene of the area, variable degrees of fluorosis, lack of framework isolation, imperfect amelogenesis, inappropriate drying of the area or oil in the drying equipment air can cause the conditioning to be totally or partially unsuccessful. Do not use the product after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS: Do not use Acid Gel in patients with sensitivity to the product or to some of its components.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT : Store in fresh place, protected from heat and direct sunlight in a temperatu-re range from 15 °C/ 59 °F to 30 °C/86 °F.
DISPOSAL: The product, package and its tips must be disposed according to the local, regional or national legislation.
