Indication
- It is indicated for root canal filling.
Specifications and technical characteristics of the product
Fill Canal is a material for root canal filling that acts by the reaction between its main componets: Zinc Oxide (powder) and Eugenol (liquido). Fill Canal presents essential characteristics for an endodontic cement: good tolerance by the tissues, radiopacity and impermeability. Fill Canal has extra fine granulation, allowing an homogeneous and creamy mixture, without clots.
Composition
- Power: Hydrogen Resin, Bismuth Subcarbonate, Barium Sulfate and Sodium Borate.
- Liquid: Eugenol and Sweet Almond oil.
Validity
- 3 years from manufacture date.
Contraindications
- The product is contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
Instructions for use
- Select the Guta Percha (or Silver) point convenient for the case;
- Pour 3 (three) drops of the liquid over a plaque for mixing process.
- Gradually, add powder to the liquid till you get such a consistency that, when lifting the mixture with a spatula, a cement thread is formed and breaks when reaches approximately 2cm length. 4. After that, involve the Guta Percha point with the cement and take it inside the root canal for its filling, according to the conventional endodontic techniques.
- NOTE: Fill Canal can be dissolved in Ether, Xilol and Chloroform.
Special warnings and cautions
Contains eugenol. Avoid long contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental
contact, wash the affected area thoroughly. In case of eye contact, search for
medical care. May cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. In case of
history of allergy to essential oils, stop usage. Exclusive for dentist’s use.
Storage: Keep the product at a temperature from 15 °C (59 °F) until 30 °C (86 °F). Keep away from heat and humidity.
