INTENDED PURPOSE

This hair dryer with diffuser is your new ally in creating beautiful hairstyles. It includes fan speed control, temperature control and a cool shot function. Moreover, it comfortably fits in the palm of your hand. Follow the instructions contained in this manual for safe installation and use of the appliance. This appliance is intended for indoor household use only and may not be used for professional purposes.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age or older and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or insufficient experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised by an adult or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
    Children must not play with the appliance.
    Cleaning and maintenance may not be performed by children unless they are supervised by an adult.

  3. When you use the hair dryer in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hair dryer is switched off.

  4. For additional protection, the installation
    of a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask a qualified electrician for advice.

  5.  If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, authorized service or a qualified person to avoid hazard.

  6.  The appliance is intended for indoor use.

  7. ATTENTION! The hair dryer heats up during operation. Never touch device – risk of burns.

  8. ATTENTION! Do not touch the appliance when your hands are wet.

  9. Read this manual thoroughly before the first use.

  10. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.

  11. Before the first use, make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local outlet voltage.

  12. Unwind the cord before use.

  13. If you pass the appliance to a third party, you must give him/her this user’s manual.

  14. Regularly check the cord and plug for potential damage.

  15. Do not operate the appliance when it is damaged or after it malfunctions.

  16. Do not operate the appliance after it has been dropped or if any evidence of damage is visible.

  17. The hair dryer must be supervised at all times when connected to the power supply.

  18. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any liquid.

  19. Do not touch any electrical device if it has fallen into water or water has been spilled on it. Unplug it immediately.

  20. Always unplug the hair dryer when it is not in use and before cleaning.

  21. If the appliance is hot, put it on a heat-resistant surface. Never cover the hair dryer with a towel, clothes etc.

  22. Do not attempt to open the housing or remove any parts of the appliance. The appliance does not contain user-serviceable parts.

  23. Do not use the hair dryer on artificial hair.

  24. Retain the user’s manual and the packaging, if possible.

  25. During operation of the hair dryer, never use hairsprays or other aerosols near the appliance. Use hairsprays or aerosols only when the appliance is off and unplugged.

User’s manual

Open the packaging and carefully take out the appliance. Ensure that the package is complete and none of its contents is damaged. Check that plastic parts are not broken. If any part is damaged or missing, contact the dealer and do not use the product. Retain the packaging or recycle it in accordance with local regulations.

OPERATION

Before using the appliance, make sure that your hair is clean and combed.

  1. Make sure that the appliance is off.
  2. Plug the cord to a power source, the parameters of which match those described on the appliance’s label.
  3.  Switch on the hair dryer with the fan speed switch and set the temperature with the temperature switch.

Fan speed and temperature settings may be changed during operation of the appliance.
After the cool shot button is pressed and held down, the hair dryer blows cool air.
When switching the temperature to a lower value or pressing the cool shot button, it takes some time to change the temperature.

  1. In order to finish operation of the appliance, set the fan speed switch to 0.
  2. Unplug the hair dryer from the outlet.

Diffuser and air concentrator

The appliance is equipped with a diffuser and air concentrator, which

facilitates hair styling.
Attach the diffuser or air concentrator by pushing it into the air outlet sleeve.
Remove the diffuser or air concentrator by pulling it off the appliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Basic principles

The hair dryer should be properly and regularly cleaned to ensure safe use and extend its lifespan.

Warning! Switch off the hair dryer, unplug it and let it cool down before cleaning and maintenance to avoid electric shock and burns.

Attention! Never clean the appliance with alkaline, abrasive or disinfecting chemical compounds, as they may damage the appliance’s surfaces.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the hair dryer housing with a dry cloth.
  • Regularly remove hair and dust from the appliance.
  • The air inlet nozzle can be cleaned with cotton buds. ATTENTION! Do not insert any objects into the air inlet.
  • Never use caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance.

REPAIR

The appliance does not contain user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to make any repairs on your own. Always have the appliance repaired by a professional.
If the hair dryer cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service centre or a qualified technician in order to avoid hazard.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Store the appliance by hanging it on its loop or keeping it in its original packaging.
Transport the appliance only in its original packaging.

DISPOSAL

Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can pose a hazard.
The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Proper disposal of the appliance:

  1. According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
  2. Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling centre.
  3. Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
  4. Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
  5. Information on electric and electronic devices collection centres is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.

CE DECLARATION

The device has been designed, manufactured and placed on the market in accordance with the requirements of the “New Approach” Directives and therefore the product has been CE marked and has been issued with a declaration of conformity made available to market regulators.

In order to claim a product, you must deliver the product to the Customer Service Center at any Biedronka store.

General Terms and Conditions of the Warranty

  1. The Warrantor for this product warrants that within 36 months from the product purchase date confirmed with a duly completed warranty card, the product will be, at the discretion of the Warrantor, subject to:
    a) free repair to be performed by the Warrantor, with the reservation that removed, damaged or faulty parts of the product shall become the property of the Warrantor in order to ensure the Customer’s safety,
    b) replacement with a new product at the point of product purchase, as a result of which the damaged or faulty product shall become the property of the Warrantor,
    c) return in exchange for reimbursement of the product’s purchase price, as a result of which the damaged or faulty product shall become the property of the Warrantor.

  2. A damaged product means a product failing to provide the features described in the Instruction Manual due to intrinsic properties of the device.

  3. The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the appliance to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under warranty, you need to present a duly completed warranty  card or a purchase receipt/invoice together with an as detailed as possible description of the device’s defect, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.

  4. A warranty card without the vendor’s stamp and signature and without the sale date is invalid.

  5. The warranty excludes products with physical damage other than that caused by the manufacturer or distributor, including specifically any damage resulting from incorrect usage or force majeure.

  6. The warranty excludes products without the tamper-proof seal, unless an authorized Service employee has removed the seal.

  7. The Service shall endeavour to complete the repair within 21 days. The said time limit may be extended to 1 month in the event that spare parts currently unavailable at the Service must be purchased.

  8. To facilitate the repair, the product should be submitted to the Service complete with all its original components.

  9. This warranty for the sold consumer product does not exclude, restrict or suspend any rights of the Buyer related to laws and regulations concerning warranty for defects in sold items pursuant to the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws Dz.U.2014.121).

  10. The warranty shall be applicable within the territory of the Republic of Poland.
