INTENDED PURPOSE

  • The gummy candy maker is used for the quick preparation of homemade jelly beans or chocolates. Thanks to it, you can quickly and easily prepare original, healthy sweets in 4 different shapes. The device is extremely easy to use and does not require any special qualifications.
  • This device is intended for private indoor use only and may not be used for professional purposes.
  • Following the instructions ensures the safe use of the device.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  2. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  3. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
  4. Clean the surfaces having contact with food following Chapter 8 Cleaning and Care.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  6. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
    • farmhouses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.
  7. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
  8. Read the entire manual before use.
  9. Be careful when using the device.
  10. The device is intended for private indoor use only and should not be used for purposes other than those specified in this manual.
  11. Do not expose the device to weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.), and do not use it in conditions of increased humidity (bathrooms, damp camping houses).
  12. Do not use the device near flammable materials.
  13. In order to increase the safety of use, do not connect many electric devices to one electric circuit simultaneously. Do not use sockets or plugs with a voltage lower than required, to prevent fire and damage to the electrical network.
  14. For additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit. A qualified electrician should be consulted in this regard.
  15. The appliance is equipped with a short power cord to reduce the risk of the person becoming entangled or tripped over a longer cord. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  16. It is not recommended to use an extension cord or a detachable cord with this unit.
  17. If a long, detachable power cord or extension cord is used, the marked electrical parameters of the cord or extension cord should be at least as large as the electrical parameters of the appliance; the longer cord should be placed so that it does not hang over a table-top, where it can be pulled by children or accidentally tripped over.
  18. Place the device on a cool, stable, even surface, away from heating appliances such as electric cookers, gas burners, etc.
  19. Do not place the appliance on a hot electric plate or a gas burner or in a hot oven.
  20. Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use or when connected to the mains.
  21. Remove the plug from the socket when not in use and before cleaning.
  22. The appliance becomes very hot during use and remains hot for some time after being turned off. Do not touch hot surfaces. Wait approx. 20 minutes from turning off the device before cleaning it.
  23. Keep your hands and face away from the vessel in which the mixture is heating up.
  24. Do not put fingers or plastic utensils in the hot mixture.
  25. Be especially careful when moving the device with the hot mixture.
  26. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or heating base in water or any other liquid. Do not touch the device with wet hands.
  27. Do not pour flammable liquids into the containers. Do not place anything other than the one intended for cooking in the appliance.
  28. Never heat up an empty appliance.
  29. The manufacturer of the device does not recommend the use of accessories other than those delivered with the device.
  30. Keep the instructions and, if possible, the packaging.
  31. If the device is passed on to other people, the instruction manual must also be handed over.

  • Open the packaging and carefully take the appliance out. Make sure that the kit is complete and that its components are undamaged. Check that the plastic parts are not broken and the power cord is not damaged. If you find that any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the appliance. Retain the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
  • Attention! To keep children safe, do not leave packaging parts (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, expanded polystyrene elements, etc.) freely accessible. The danger of suffocation!

OPERATION

  1. Before first use, clean the parts that come into contact with food according to the instructions in Chapter 8 CLEANING AND CARE. Be careful not to let water get into the heating base, otherwise, the device will not function properly.

  2. Find a dry, heat-resistant, even surface near an electrical outlet.

  3. Fold the water/ice cube trays to form a full circle, then fill them with 3/4 of capacity with cold water or ice cubes.

  4. Place the silicone molds in trays with water or ice.

  5. Place the heating base in its place – in the center of the trays circle or any other safe location.

  6. Put the dish for dissolving jelly mixture into the heating base.

  7. Using your own recipe or following the recipe in this manual, prepare the gelatin mixture in the dish. Be careful not to overfill it – do not exceed the maximum fill level indicated inside the dish. The maximum capacity of the dish is 230 ml.

  8. Leave the gelatin mixture to swell for approx. 5-10 minutes and add the lemon juice.

  9. Turn the on / off switch to the „I” position to turn on the heating.

  10. Stir the mixture carefully and don’t let it boil.

  11. Add sugar as desired (optional) and wait until the mixture is totally smooth.
    ATTENTION! Water vapor may be released when the mixture is heated. For safety reasons, avoid contact with the steam as it is very hot and can cause burns.

  12. After about ten minutes, or when the sugar (optional) has dissolved, the mixture will be smooth and you can carefully pour it into the molds through the spout in the dish.

  13. After filling the molds, turn the device off by setting the on / off switch to the „O” position and disconnect the device from the power supply by removing the plug from the socket. ATTENTION! Do not pull on the cord! Grab the plug!

  14. In 60 minutes, the jelly beans will be ready to be removed from the silicone molds.

Recipe for homemade jelly beans

  • 100 ml of any fruit juice
  • 6 teaspoons of gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)

Pour the gelatin with fruit juice and leave for 5- 10 minutes until it is swollen, and when the gelatin is swollen, add lemon juice and heat it, stirring, until the gelatin dissolves. Sweeten to taste and mix to dissolve the sugar.

Chocolate pralines
It is enough to dissolve your preferred chocolate (100 g) and pour it into the molds.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the life span of the appliance.
  • Warning! Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn the appliance off, disconnect it from the power source, and let it cool down, so as to avoid burns and electric shock.
  • Caution! Do not clean the appliance with any strong chemicals, alkalis, abrasive or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the appliance.
  • The dish for dissolving the gel mass, silicone trays for jelly beans, and water/ice containers should be washed by hand in warm water with the addition of dishwashing liquid.
  • The heating base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, but make sure the appliance is completely dry before using it again.
  • Attention! Do not immerse the heater in water or other liquids. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

  • The appliance does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair the product on your own. Always have the appliance repaired by a professional.
  • Any repairs may only be performed by authorized service points. Incorrectly performed repairs can pose a serious threat to the user.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service center, or a properly qualified individual in order to avoid hazards.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

  • It is recommended to store the device in its original packaging.
  • Always keep the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated location inaccessible to children.
  • Protect the appliance against vibration and shock during transport.

DISPOSAL

  • Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can pose a hazard.
  • The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Correct disposal of the device

  1. According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
  2. Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling center.
  3. Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
  4. Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
  5. Information on electric and electronic devices collection centers is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.

General Terms and Conditions of the Warranty

  1. The Warrantor for this product warrants that within 36 months from the product purchase date confirmed with a duly completed warranty card, the product will be, at the discretion of the Warrantor, subject to:
    • free repair to be performed by the Warrantor, with the reservation that removed, damaged, or faulty parts of the product shall become the property of the Warrantor in order to ensure the Customer’s safety,
    • replacement with a new product at the point of product purchase, as a result of which the damaged or faulty product shall become the property of the Warrantor,
    • return in exchange for reimbursement of the product’s purchase price, as a result of which the damaged or faulty product shall become the property of the Warrantor
  2. A damaged product means a product fails to provide the features described in the Instruction Manual due to the intrinsic properties of the device.
  3. The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the appliance to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under warranty, you need to present a duly completed warranty card or a purchase receipt/invoice together with an as detailed as possible description of the device’s defect, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.
  4. A warranty card without the vendor’s stamp and signature and without the sale date is invalid.
  5. The warranty excludes products with physical damage other than that caused by the manufacturer or distributor, including specifically any damage resulting from incorrect usage or force majeure.
  6. The warranty excludes products without the tamper-proof seal unless an authorized Service employee has removed the seal.
  7. The Service shall endeavor to complete the repair within 21 days. The said time limit may be extended to 1 month in the event that spare parts currently unavailable at the Service must be purchased.
  8. To facilitate the repair, the product should be submitted to the Service complete with all its original components.
  9. This warranty for the sold consumer product does not exclude, restrict or suspend any rights of the Buyer related to laws and regulations concerning warranty for defects in sold items pursuant to the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws Dz.U.2014.121).
  10. The warranty shall be applicable within the territory of the Republic of Poland.
