INTENDED USE

The garment steamer is very easy to use. It is intended for removing folds and creases from clothing, curtains or decorative fabrics.
It can be used to refresh most materials at home.
Following the instructions in this manual will ensure safe installation and use of the device.
The device is intended for private household use only, and must not be used for professional purposes.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The device can be used by children older than 8 years of age and by individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or by individuals lacking experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised or use the device safely, in compliance with the instruction manual, and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children must not play with the device.
  3. Cleaning and maintenance may not be performed by children unless they are supervised by an adult.
  4. Due to steam emission, observe caution when operating the device.
  5. Unplug the device from the mains before refilling the water tank, pouring out the remaining water or cleaning.
  6. Fill the water tank in accordance with the instructions in section 7 USE – 7.2 REFILLING THE WATER TANK.
  7. Clean and descale the device in accordance with the instructions in section 8 CLEANING AND CARE.
  8. Caution! Risk of scalding! Observe caution when ironing as the released steam is hot!
  9. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a qualified individual, so as to avoid hazards.
  10. When the device is on or is cooling down, store it and its power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
  11. The device must not be left unattended when it is connected to the mains.
  12. Do not operate the fabric steamer if it has fallen from a great height, shows any sign of damage or leaks.
  13. Read the entire manual before using the product.
  14. The device is for indoor use only. Do not use outdoor or in rooms with increased humidity (e.g. bathroom).
  15. Before connecting the power, check if the local power voltage complies with the product.
  16. The device should be connected to an alternating current network 220-240 V ~, 50-60 Hz, to a grounded power outlet.
  17. If an extension cord is used to work with the device, its parameters must comply with the parameters given in this manual.
  18. When operating the appliance, lay the power cord in such a way so as to avoid pulling it or tripping over it by accident.
  19. Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge.
  20. To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the plug, power cord or appliance in water or any other liquids.
  21. Never touch the electric appliance if it has been immersed in water or water has been spilled on it. Disconnect from the mains immediately.
  22. Do not touch the device with wet hands.
  23. Danger of burns! Do not put your hands in the steam cloud! Do not touch hot metal surfaces! Only hold the device by the handle.
  24. Never direct the steam jet towards other people nor animals. The water vapor is hot and can cause burns.
  25. Never direct the steam jet directly at electrical devices or devices containing electrical components (TV, radio, electric heater).
  26. Do not direct the steam jet at unprotected wooden surfaces, not suitable for this grouts, cold glass or plastics.
  27. When the device is not in use or before cleaning, disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
  28. Allow the equipment to cool down before attempting to move it and before cleaning it.
  29. Do not clean with aggressive cleaning agents.
  30. Do not use the device near flammable fabrics (curtains, carpet). Do not put near high temperature sources, such as gas stoves, electric cookers.
  31. If the appliance is covered or in contact with flammable material, there may be a risk of fire.
  32. Place the appliance into the base on an even and stable surface resistant to high temperatres. When ironing horizontally, make sure that the surface is even and stable.
  33. Do not use the device when there is no water in the tank.
  34. Always disconnect the device from the mains before starting fill or empty the water tank.
  35. Only use filtered, boiled or distilled water to fill the water tank.
  36. Never add cleaning agents, perfumes, oils or other chemicals to the water tank. These measures may damage the device and make it unsafe to use.
  37. Observe caution when emptying the water tank – risk of scalding with hot water.
  38. After using the device and prior to its maintenance, wait for it to cool down.
  39. Use the device only for its intended purpose.
  40. Do not repair the product yourself. The product may only be repaired by an authorized service center. Otherwise, the product service warranty will be void.
  41. Keep the instructions and, if possible, the packaging.
  42. If the device is passed on to other people, make sure this user’s manual accompanies it.

Open the packaging and carefully take out the product. Make sure the set is complete and intact. Check that the plastic parts are not broken, and the power cord is not damaged. If you find that any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the device. Keep the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Caution! For the sake of children’s safety, do not leave any packagingmaterials accessible and unattended (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, Styrofoam, etc.). Risk of suffocation!

USE

7.1 Before first use

1. Take out the fabric steamer from the packaging and unfold the cable.
2. Remove the protective foil from the steam plate if any.
3. The steamer may give off a slight smell and smoke when you use it for the first time, but this is normal and does not require any additional action.
4. To avoid overloading the circuit, it is not recommended to use this device together with other equipment on the same electrical circuit.

7.2 Refilling the water tank

1. Make sure the device is disconnected from the power source.
2. Detach the water tank from the device main body by pulling it.
3. Turn the water tank upside down, open the silicone plug, pour out the water if left any, and fill the tank with fresh filtered, boiled or distilled water.
4. Close the opening with the silicone plug and put the water tank back by aligning the recesses in the tank with the body of the device.

CAUTION!
When the water in the tank is used up, the device will not emit steam anymore. Refill the water tank, observing all protection measures.
If the water tank is empty, the device may overheat.
Never add any cleaning agents, fragrances, scented oils or other chemicals to the water tank. Such agents may damage the device and render its operation dangerous.
Only use distilled or filtered, boiled water.
Always disconnect the device from the mains before starting to fill or empty the water tank.
The water filler plug must always be opened slowly. Thus, any steam in the pressurised tank will be released gradually. Observe caution – the steam may still be hot.
7.3 Switching the device on/off

  1. To switch the device on, insert the power cord plug into a properly grounded electrical outlet that matches the label or stated in this manual or on the product packaging.

  2. The light indicator will start flashing blue.

  3. Wait for about 30 seconds until it stops flashing, which means the device is ready to be used.

  4. To enable the steam burst and start ironing, press the steam burst switch.

  5. To disable the steam burst, press the steam burst switch again.
    CAUTION! It will not fully turn off the device. It will remain in standby mode.

  6. In order to turn off the device fully, disconnect the plug from the mains.
    CAUTION! Remember, do not pull the cord but grab the plug.

7.4 Operation
The device is an excellent tool for removing creases and refreshing clothes and textiles.
It is suitable for most materials. However, observe particular caution when using it with temperature-sensitive materials, such as synthetic fabric, polyamide, or artificial silk. It is recommended to try using the device on a small piece of fabric, in a hidden place or on an unused clothing item.
The device is intended for operation in a vertical and horizontal position.
When ironing horizontally, pay particular attention to the tank fill level, as it may affect the steam burst quality. If the water level is too low, the steam burst will be limited.
CAUTION!

  1. Make sure the pockets are empty, unfold any cuffs and pleats.

  2. It is recommended to hang the clothes on hangers, stretch and straighten them in order to avoid creases.

  3. Make sure there is some free space under the ironed part of the clothes to enable drying. If the clothes collect moisture, mould may appear.

  4. Make sure there are no objects behind the ironed clothes which might get damaged by steam released from the device.

  5. It is not recommended to aim the steam at metal accessories as steam can cause metal parts fade.

  6. Fill the water tank following advice in chapter 7.2 Filling the water tank, and place the device into the base, on an even and stable surface, resistant to high temperatures.

  7. Connect the device to a power grid grounded socket, the  parameters of which comply with the ones stated for the  device in this manual or on the device. The power and standby blue light indicator will start flashing.

  8. When the light indicator stops flashing and stays on continuously (after approx. 30 s), the device is heated and ready for operation.

  9. Press the steam burst switch to start the steam emission. You will feel the vibration and at the same time hear a faint buzzing sound.
    CAUTION! During first use, when the device is heated, allow the steam to be emitted freely for several minutes, without directing it at the clothes.

  10. Hold the steamer handle and aim the device at the ironed clothes.

  11. Apply the device to the clothes keeping around 5 cm distance from the cloth surface and slowly slide up and down, ironing out the creases.

  12. When ironing, you may gently tighten the ironed material. Observe particular caution to avoid scalding.

  13. To disable steam emission, press the steam burst button again.

7.5 After using the device

  1. Switch off the device and place it in the base in a safe place, on a stable and flat surface resistant to high temperatures.
  2. Unplug the device and wait until it cools down.
  3. Pour the remaining water out of the tank, see point 7.2 Refilling the water tank.
  4. Wait for the water tank to dry fully and store the steamer in  a safe place.

Caution!
Risk of scalding! The emitted steam is hot!
Never aim the steam stream at other people. The steam is hot and may cause scalding!
Never aim the steam stream directly at electrical devices or devices with electrical components (TV set, radio receiver, electric stove).
Do not aim the steam stream at unprotected wooden surfaces, unsuitable grouts, cold glass, or plastics.
The device can operate as long as there is water in the tank. When the tank is empty, disconnect the device from the mains, wait for it to cool down, refill the water in the tank, and continue working.
7.6 Brush attachment installation/removal
CAUTION! Do not install/remove the attachment when the device is hot, as there is a risk of scalding.

  1. Make sure the device is cooled down and disconnected from the power source.
  2. Grab the device by the handle, install the attachment with the  other hand. Make sure the tabs on the attachment inner side enter into the openings around the steam plate.
  3. To remove the attachment, pry and take the attachment off.

CLEANING AND CARE

8.1 Basic rules
Correct and regular cleaning will improve the safety of the product and extend its lifetime.
Warning! Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn the device off, disconnect it from the  power source, and let it cool down, so as to avoid burns and electric shock.

  • Always empty the water tank when you have finished working.
  • Wipe the device with a slightly damp cloth, then wipe it dry.

8.2 Descaling

  • With time and depending on the frequency of use, the steam power may decrease. When this happens, clean the device from scale deposits.
  • Use commercially available descaling agents based on citric acid. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer/ importer of the agent.

CAUTION!
Never immerse the plug, the power cord, or the device in water or other liquids.
After finishing work and prior to opening the water filler plug, wait for the device to cool down.

REPAIR

The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair the device on your own. Always have a specialist perform repairs.
If the power cord is damaged, it has to be replaced with an identical one by the manufacturer, service, or a qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Clean the device in accordance with the instructions and leave it to dry completely. It is recommended to store the device in its original packaging. Always keep the device in a dry, well-ventilated place inaccessible to children.
Protect the device against vibration and shock during transport.

DISPOSAL

Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the  materials can pose a hazard.
The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Correct disposal of the device:

  1. According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the  crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
  2. Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling centre.
  3. Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
  4. Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
  5. Information on electric and electronic devices collection centres is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.

CE DECLARATION

The device has been designed, manufactured, and marketed in compliance with the New Approach Directives. Therefore, the product bears the “CE” symbol and has a declaration of conformity, which is available to market supervision agencies for inspection.

  1. The Warrantor for this product warrants that within 24 months from the product purchase date, confirmed with a duly completed warranty card, the product shall be, at the discretion of the Warrantor, subject to:
    a) repairing the product free of charge, subject to the condition that any dismantled, damaged or faulty parts, in order to ensure the Customer’s safety, shall become the Warrantor’s property,
    b) replacing the product with a new one at the point of purchase, subject to the condition that the damaged or faulty product shall become the Warrantor’s property,
    c) returning the price of the product to the User, subject to the condition that the damaged or faulty product shall become the Warrantor’s property.

  2. A defective/damaged product is a product failing to provide the features described in the user’s manual due to intrinsic properties of the device.

  3. The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the appliance to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under warranty, you need to present the proof of purchase (purchase receipt, invoice) together with a description of the defect in as much detail as possible, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.

  4. A warranty card without the vendor’s stamp and signature or sale date is invalid.

  5. The warranty excludes products with physical damage other than that caused by the manufacturer or distributor, including specifically any damage resulting from incorrect usage or force majeure.

  6. The warranty excludes products without the tamper-proof seal, unless an authorized Service employee has removed the seal.

  7. The repair centre shall make every effort to complete the repair within 21 days. The said time limit may be extended to 1 month in the event that spare parts currently unavailable at the Service must be purchased.

  8. It is recommended that the complete product be submitted together with the complaint so as to facilitate service operations.

  9. This warranty for the sold consumer product does not exclude, restrict or suspend any rights of the Buyer related to laws and regulations concerning warranty for defects in sold items pursuant to the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws Dz.U.2014.121).

  10. The warranty shall be applicable within the territory of the Republic of Poland.
