OPERATION

Before use
Attention! When the appliance is heated or operated for the first time, a trail of smoke or steam may appear. This is a normal phenomenon that occurs when new heating components are preheated.
Various types of waffle batter can be used with the waffle maker. Close the lid very carefully to avoid trapping your fingers. Before switching the appliance on, place it on a stable and flat surface resistant to high temperatures.

Turning the appliance on and off

  • To turn the appliance on, connect it to an alternating current source whose parameters match those specified on the appliance’s label. The outlet should be equipped with a protective ear-thing pin.
  • To turn the appliance off, disconnect it from the alternating cur-rent source whose parameters match those specified on the appliance’s label.

Making waffles

  1. Before first use, wipe the appliance’s internal surfaces with a damp cloth or a sponge, then wipe them dry with a paper towel. Spread a small amount of butter, margarine or oil on the inside of the appliance.

  2. You may prepare batter according to various recipes, modifying ingredients or their ratios as desired. For optimal effect, use the following recipe:
    INGREDIENTS| DIRECTIONS
    ---|---
    3 eggs
    Baking powder – 1 tsp
    Sugar – 125 g
    |Vegetable oil – 100 ml
    Flour – 250 g
    |Milk – 150 ml
Carbonated mineral water – 50 ml| Sieve the dry ingredients into a bowl
Add eggs, oil, milk and water
Mix with a blender until the ingredients are fully blended
Leave the batter for 15 minutes until it is ready for making waffles

  3. 3. Insert the plug into an alternating current network outlet. The heating indicator (red light) will light up. Close the lid so that the appliance heats up faster.
    4. After about 2-3 minutes the appliance will be ready. The readiness indicator (green) will light up, while the red light will continue glowing. This means that the heating plates have reached the target temperature.
    5. Now you can fill the lower plate with batter. Remember – if you use too much batter, it will overflow from the appliance.
Attention! Batter containing a larger amount of sugar will turn brown faster.
Attention! Baking time depends on the recipe. Make sure it is not exceeded.

  4. 6. Close the waffle maker lid. If the lid cannot be fully closed, it means there is too much batter inside.
    7. After about 2 minutes open the lid and check whether the waffles are ready and have the desired colour.
Attention! During appliance operation, the readiness indicator (green) may go on and off. This is a normal pheno- menon indi-cating that the thermostat, which serves to maintain the target temperature, is working pro-perly.

  5. 8. After your waffles are ready, take them off the heating plates with a plastic or wooden spatula. Do not use metal tools or any-thing that could damage the surface of the heating plate.
    9. To continue, pour another portion of batter onto the heating pla-tes.
    10. After you have finished, disconnect the waffle maker from the mains and wait until all its components cool down before you start cleaning it.
