WM-2213-1 Wafle Maker
INTENDED USE
The appliance is intended for making waffles.
Following the instructions contained in this manual will ensure safe
installation and use of the appliance.
The appliance is intended for indoor household use only and may not be used
for professional purposes.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

Caution! Risk of burns! During operation some external surfaces of the appliance may become very hot. Do not touch hot surfaces and keep away from steam emitted by the appliance. Hold the appliance by its handle only.

Regularly check the power cord for damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service centre or a qualified individual, so as to avoid hazards.

The appliance is not fit for operation with an external timer or a remote control system.

Attention! Provide for adequate ventilation clearance above and around the appliance. The appliance must not come into contact with any curtains, wall decorations, clothes, paper towels or other flammable materials during operation. -
To avoid the risk of fire or electrocution, follow basic
safety rules when using electric appliances and devices, particularly in the presence of children. -
To prevent electrocution, do not immerse the power cord, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.

Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge. 11. Operate the appliance on a flat and stable surface resistant to high temperatures.

Remove the plug from the wall socket when the appliance is not in use or before it is cleaned. Wait until the appliance cools down before you start cleaning or repairing it.

Make sure not to connect too many electrical appliances to a single circuit.

Make sure that the power cord is not pinched when the appliance is being closed and that the power cord does not touch the edges of the heating plates.

Do not clean the appliance with corrosive cleaning agents.

Remove ready waffles from the appliance with a plastic or wooden spatula, or with another suitable non-metallic tool, so as not to damage the non-stick coating of the waffle maker.

Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.

Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.

If any liquid is spilled on the appliance, remove the plug from the alternating current mains socket immediately. Wait until the appliance cools down and wipe it dry.

Open the package and carefully take the appliance out. Make sure that the set is complete and that its components are undamaged. Check that plastic parts are not broken and the power cord is not damaged. If you find that any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the product. Retain the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Attention! To keep children safe, do not leave any packaging parts (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, expanded polystyrene elements etc.) freely accessible. Risk of suffocation!
OPERATION
Before use
Attention!
When the appliance is heated or operated for the first time, a trail of smoke
or steam may appear. This is a normal phenomenon that occurs when new heating
components are preheated.
Various types of waffle batter can be used with the waffle maker.
Close the lid very carefully to avoid trapping your fingers. Before switching
the appliance on, place it on a stable and flat surface resistant to high
temperatures.
Turning the appliance on and off
- To turn the appliance on, connect it to an alternating current source whose parameters match those specified on the appliance’s label. The outlet should be equipped with a protective earthing pin.
- To turn the appliance off, disconnect it from the alternating current source whose parameters match those specified on the appliance’s label.
Attention!
The appliance should be connected to a readily accessible socket situated near
the appliance so that it can be disconnected from the power source immediately
in the event any danger arises.
Making waffles

Before first use, wipe the appliance’s internal surfaces with a damp cloth or a sponge, then wipe them dry with a paper towel. Spread a small amount of butter, margarine or oil on the inside of the appliance.

You may prepare batter according to various recipes, modifying ingredients or their ratios as desired. For optimal effect, use the following recipe:

Milk – 150 ml

Carbonated mineral water – 50 ml |

Sieve the dry ingredients into a bowl

Add eggs, oil, milk and water
-
Mix with a blender until the ingredients are fully blended
-
Leave the batter for 15 minutes until it is ready for making waffles
-

Insert the plug into an alternating current network outlet.
The heating indicator (red light) will light up. -
Close the lid so that the appliance heats up faster.

After about 2-3 minutes the readiness indicator (green) will light up, which means, that the heating plates have reached the target temperature.

Now you can fill the lower plate with batter. Remember – if you use too much batter, it will overflow from the appliance.

Close the waffle maker lid. If the lid cannot be fully closed, it means there is too much batter inside.

After about 10-15 minutes open the lid and check whether the waffles are ready and have the desired colour.
Attention! Batter containing a larger amount of sugar will turn brown faster.
Attention! Baking time depends on the recipe.Make sure it is not exceeded. -
After your waffles are ready, take them off the heating plates using plastic or wooden spatula. Do not use metal tools or anything that could damage the surface of the heating plates.

To continue, pour another portion of batter onto the heating plates.

After you have finished, disconnect the waffle maker from the mains and wait until all its components cool down before you start cleaning it.
CLEANING AND CARE
Basic principles
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the life
span of the appliance.
Warning! Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn the appliance off, disconnect it from the power source and let it cool down, so as to avoid burns and electrocution.
- Wait until the heating plates cool down completely! Risk of burns!
- It is recommended that oil residues and crumbs be removed with a soft cloth or a paper towel.
- To clean the heating plates, wipe them with a damp cloth, then wipe them dry with a soft cloth.
- If any food residues cannot be easily removed, use a wooden or plastic spatula.
- Wipe the housing of the appliance with a dry cloth. Attention!
Do not clean the appliance with any chemicals, alkali, abrasive or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the appliance.
Do not clean the heating plates with any metal, sharp or rough cleaning tools!
Never clean the waffle maker under running water or immerse it in water.
REPAIR
The appliance does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to
make any repairs on your own. Always have the appliance repaired by a
professional.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a
service centre or a qualified individual, so as to avoid hazard.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Clean the appliance according to the instructions.
Always keep the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated location inaccessible to
children.
Protect the appliance against vibration and shock during transport.
DISPOSAL
Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can
pose a hazard.
The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

WARRANTY
In order to lodge a complaint or file a claim related to the product, the
device should be delivered to the Customer Service Desk at any store of the
Biedronka chain.

- The Warrantor for this product grants a 36-month warranty valid from the purchase date. Should you find any defect, submit a complaint at the place of purchase.
- A damaged/defective product means a product failing to provide the features described in the Instruction Manual due to intrinsic properties of the device.
- The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the device to the Customer Service Point at a relevant store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment.
