Open the package and carefully remove the device. Check that the product is complete and undamaged. Make sure the plastic parts are not cracked and the cord and plug are not damaged. If you find parts missing or damaged, do not use the device but contact the seller. Keep the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Caution! Do not leave any parts of the packaging (plastic bag, cardboard box, polystyrene foam, etc.) within the reach of children. Danger of suffocation!
OPERATION
-
Before the first use, wash the parts which come into contact with food in accordance with the instructions in section 8 Cleaning and care.
-
Locate a dry, heat-resistant and even surface near a mains socket.
-
Make sure the device is not yet connected to the mains and assemble the device:
-
To attach the rotating heating plate, press it onto the spindle of the heating plate and make sure the grooves at the base of the plate are properly aligned with the transverse elements on the spindle.
-
To fix the bowl, place it on the heating plate, carefully press down and turn counterclockwise until it snaps into the latches.
-
Then attach the lid to the bowl by snapping rim in place.
-
Connect the device to the mains compatible with the ratings of the device specified in this User’s Guide.
-
Turn on the device by toggling the On/Off switch to the “I” position and let it work
for at least 3-5 minutes before adding sugar. This will allow the turntable with the heating plate to preheat.
Caution! Do not touch or bring your hand close to the rotating heating plate during operation! You could get burned or injured. -
TURN OFF the device by toggling the On/Off switch to the “O” position and, using the measuring cup included in the set, pour no more than one scoop (1 tablespoon) of sugar onto the turntable, taking care to avoid burns.
Caution! Use plain granulated sugar. To make colored or flavored cotton candy, you can add your favorite food coloring / flavoring powder to the sugar or use a ready-made cotton candy sugar.
Caution! Do not pour more than one scoop or one flat tablespoon of sugar, which is 15 g maximum, onto the turntable. -
Turn on the device again.
-
After about 2-3 minutes, or when the sugar dissolves, you will see “threads” of cotton wool. Then you should start winding it onto a stick, making circles around the outer perimeter of the bowl, holding it vertically and, at the same time, rotating it in your fingers. When the cotton wool has been wound onto the stick, keep holding it horizontally above the bowl, still turning it in your fingers and moving from one side of the bowl to the other, making sure that all the cotton wool has been collected from the bowl.
-
After all the sugar has been used, the device must be turned off.
-
Another portion of sugar may be added only after the turntable has completely
stopped. This time the process of making cotton candy should proceed faster because the device is already properly heated. -
When the work is done, turn off the device, disconnect it from the mains and leave to cool before cleaning.
CLEANING AND CARE
Proper and regular cleaning ensures safety of use and prolongs the life of the device.
Caution! Before cleaning the device, turn it off, unplug it from the
mains and wait until it cools down.
Remove the parts to be washed: pull the rotating heating plate upwards, then
remove the lid with the rim and unscrew the bowl to remove it from the
latches.
Wash the bowl, the lid, sticks, scoop and the rotating plate by hand in warm
water with the addition of dishwashing liquid and wipe these components dry or
leave them to dry completely.
If caramel solidifies on the plate, it should be immersed for some time
(several minutes) in hot water so that the caramel dissolves. Then wash the
components as described above.
The body of the device may be wiped with a damp cloth but make sure the device
is completely dry before using it again.
Caution! Do not use any acidic, alkaline, abrasive or disinfecting agents
for cleaning to avoid damaging the surface of the device.
Do not use a rough sponge for cleaning.
Caution! Do not immerse the body of the device in water or other liquids.
Caution! Do not place any component in the dishwasher.
