Product Information: Analytical Scale for Whole-Body Measures
The Analytical Scale for Whole-Body Measures is a device used to measure body weight, body fat, water content, muscle mass, and bone mass. The product comes in two models: BFS-2338-B and BFS-2338-W, and is powered by 3V with 2 AAA 1.5V batteries included in the product. Product Usage
Safety Instructions: The device can be used by individuals with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or those with lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised or use the device safely according to the instructions and understand the risks.
Battery Installation/Replacement:
- Make sure the scale is turned off.
- Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of the scale.
- Remove any used batteries if present.
- Insert two AAA 1.5V batteries according to the markings in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Measurement:
- Step onto the scale barefoot with dry feet.
- Wait for the device to display your weight and other measurements.
- Refer to the symbols on the display for each measurement, such as gender, body type, age, height, body fat, water content, muscle mass, bone mass, and percentage of body fat, muscle mass, bone mass, and water content.
Understand the Measurements:
- Underfat: Less than the planned weight
- Healthy: Within the planned weight
- Overfat: More than the planned weight
- Obese: Significantly more than the planned weight

INTENDED PURPOSE
The analytical scale with whole-body measurements is a device for measuring
body weight and percentage measurement of the parameters: body fat, hydration,
muscle mass and bone mass. Its simple operation and a special platform design
make it a useful household device.
This device is intended for private indoor use only; it may not be used for
professional purposes.
The maximum capacity of the scale is 150 kg.
Following the instructions in this manual will ensure safe installation and
use of the device.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The device may be used by individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or by individuals lacking the necessary experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised or use the device safely, in compliance with the user’s manual, and understand the hazards involved.
- Children must not play with the device.
- Please read this manual in whole before using the product.
- Warning! The scale is not intended for the following users:
- Children under 10 years of age
- Persons over age 85
- Persons with such symptoms as fever, edema (swelling)
- Persons with osteoporosis
- Persons who undergo dialyses regularly
- Persons with a pacemaker
- Persons who take cardiovascular medications
- Pregnant women
- Persons who train intensively longer than 5 hours a day
- Persons whose heart rate is lower than 60 bpm.
- When using electrical devices, especially in the presence of children, basic safety precautions should be adhered to.
- The device is intended for private indoor use only.
- Do not use the device for any purpose other than its intended use.
- Do not use electric devices when taking a bath or shower.
- Do not use the device in the vicinity of heat sources (heaters, fire).
- Do not place any open flame, for example lit candles, near the device. 11. Remove the batteries whenever the device is not to be used for any significant length of time or before cleaning.
- Do not use any caustic agents for cleaning the device.
- Protect the device against penetration by water or other liquids.
- Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
- Protect the device against moisture, dripping or splashing water. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases, on or near the device.
- To avoid accidents, do not place the device on a slippery surface.
- Do not jump on the scale.
- The device is not a toy.
- Do not step on the bathroom scale with bare and wet feet – you could slip and fall.
- Retain the user’s manual and the packaging, if possible.
- The scale’s maximum capacity is 150 kg.

Open the packaging and carefully take out the product. Check that the set is complete and intact. Check that the plastic parts are not cracked, and the power cord is not damaged. If any part is damaged or missing, contact the dealer and do not use the product. Keep the package or recycle it in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Caution! For the sake of children’s safety, do not leave any packaging materials accessible and unattended (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, Styrofoam etc.). Risk of suffocation!
USE
Caution! The purchased device may be supplied with batteries installed in the battery compartment and secured with a piece of plastic. Remove the piece of plastic before using the device.
Installation /replacement
- Make sure the scale is switched off.
- To open the battery compartment, lift up its cover.
- Remove the spent batteries (if present).
- Insert two new batteries (AAA 1.5 V ), observing the polarity marking inside the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Caution!
- The device is designed to be used with AAA 1.5 V batteries.
- The batteries are included.
- When installing new batteries, observe the markings in the battery compartment.
- Use the type of battery recommended for this device: AAA 1.5 V .
- Do not put spent batteries in a rubbish bin, but in special containers for spent batteries.
- Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose (non-rechargeable batteries).
- Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose (non-recharge-able batteries).
- Never expose batteries to direct heat sources, such as excessive sun-light, heaters or fire.
- Explosion hazard! Batteries must not be dismantled, put into fire or short-circuited.
- When the device is not in use, always remove the batteries. This will prevent damage to the device in the event that electrolyte leaks from the batteries.
- Remove spent batteries from the device immediately.
- Electrolyte may leak out of spent batteries, causing damage to the device.
- If you touch acid from a battery, rinse your hands under running water. If any acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. The acid contained in the battery may cause irritation or burns.
- Swallowing a battery may have fatal consequences! Keep batteries away from children and pets. Seek medical assistance immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- Weighing
Place the scale on a level, stable and dry surface. In order to ensure a correct reading, do not place the scale on a rug/ carpet. An uneven surface can affect result accuracy. CAUTION! Do not stand on the scale with wet feet. Always stand on the scale with bare, dry feet (take off your shoes and socks).
Step on the scale with both feet. The scale will switch on automatically. Wait for the measurement. The digits will start flashing before the final result of weighing is displayed. CAUTION! It is recommended that you stand still during weighing.
The scale will turn off automatically if idle for approximately 30 seconds.
Changing the weight units
After switching on the scale you can change the weight unit using the “up”
button under the display screen. Each press of the button toggles the unit of
weight between kg (kilograms), lb (pounds) or st (stones). When you change the
weight unit, the unit of measurement changes automatically (if kg, then cm; if
pounds or stones, then inches and feet)
Entering user settings
After switching the scale on, you can enter individual user parameters such as
sex, age and height. For this purpose:
- Turn the scale on by touching the “SET” button.
- Press the “SET” button, then select the required parameters by pressing “up” or “down”, confirming each selection with another press of the “SET” button.
- The parameters are displayed in the following order:
- User 1, 2, 3 and so forth up to a maximum of 10 users.
- Sex
- Body composition type
- Age
- Planned weight – target
- Height
- Unit of measure selection (kg=cm; lb/St=ft:in)
- To access individual user data, press the “SET” button and select the appropriate pro-file from those flashing on the display.
- Now you may step onto the scale. Remember to keep the scale on an even surface and to step with bare feet on the metal sensors.
- Stay still for a moment. The scale is performing calculations, which is indicated by the subsequently displayed square symbols.
- After the scale completes the calculations, the display will show the data below twice, in the following order:

Error codes shown on the display
When an error code shows on the display, wait for the device to turn off. Then
turn it on again to repeat the operation. If the error code is still
displayed, remove the batteries from the battery compartment for 10 seconds.

CLEANING AND CARE
Remove batteries from the device before you start cleaning it.
Wipe with a slightly damp cloth with some dishwashing agent, then wipe the
scale dry. Do not use any caustic agents for cleaning the device.
Protect the device from penetration by water or other liquids.
Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
REPAIR
The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to
repair the device on your own. Always have a specialist perform repairs.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
- Keep the device in a dry and well-ventilated place inaccessible to children.
- Protect the device against vibration and shock during transport.
- Protect the device from falling.
DISPOSAL
Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can
pose a hazard. The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
Correct disposal of the device:

According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.

Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric
and electronic device collection and recycling centre. -
Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative
impact on the environment and human health. -
Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.

Worn out and dead batteries must be discarded in specially marked containers, delivered to special waste collection points or to electronic equipment vendors. Lead content of the batteries exceeds 0.004 %.

the requirements of the New Approach Directives; therefore, the product has
been marked with the CE mark and a declaration of conformity has been issued
for it, which is made available to market regulators.

The Warrantor of this product grants a 36-month warranty valid from the date of purchase. If any defect is found, a complaint about the product should be lodged at the point of purchase.

A defective/damaged product means a product failing to provide the features described in the User’s Manual due to intrinsic properties of the device.

The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the device to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under warranty, you need to present proof of purchase (receipt, invoice) together with a description of the device defect in as much detail as possible, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.
