Product Usage Instructions
- Before using the angle grinder, carefully read the user instructions provided in the manual. Keep the manual for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Read all warnings, safety instructions and other instructions carefully
before use. Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can
result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
WORK AREA
- Keep the work area clean and well lit. Dark and cluttered work areas increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gas or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
- Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using power tools. You can easily lose control of the tool if you are distracted.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- The plug on the power tool must match the PowerPoint. Never modify the plug in any way. Never use an adapter with earthed power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching power points reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. There is a greater risk of electric shock if water gets into a power tool.
- Be careful with the power cord. Never use the power cord to carry or pull the tool, or to pull out the plug from the power point. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- If the tool is used outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use. Cords intended for outdoor use reduce the risk of electric shock.
- If it is absolutely necessary to use power tools in damp conditions, use a PowerPoint protected by a residual current device. Using an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are doing, and use your common sense when working with power tools. Never use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention when using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal safety equipment. Wear safety glasses.
- Depending on the type of tool and how it is used, safety equipment such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets and ear protection reduce the risk of personal injury.
- Never saw in asbestos!
- Dust from oak, ash and other types of wood can be carcinogenic. Use a dust mask and ensure there is adequate ventilation.
- Avoid accidental starting. Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord and/or the battery, or lifting/carrying the tool. Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch, or connecting a tool to the mains supply when the switch is in the ON position, increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Remove adjuster keys/spanners etc. before starting the tool.
- Spanners or the like that are left in a rotating part of the tool can cause personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance. This will ensure you have better control over the tool in unexpected situations.
- Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing, jewelry and long hair can get caught in moving parts.
- If dust extraction and dust collection equipment is available, this should be connected and used correctly. The use of such devices can reduce the risk of dust-related problems.
USING AND LOOKING AFTER POWER TOOLS

Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the planned work. The tool does the job better and safer when used at the rate for which it was designed.

Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off with the power switch. Power tools that cannot be controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.

Unplug the power cord before making any adjustments, changing accessories or putting the power tool away. These safety precautions reduce the risk of accidently starting the power tool.

Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions,

Check for other factors that could affect functionality. If the power tool is damaged, it must be repaired before being used again. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANGLE GRINDERS
General safety instructions for all types of grinding.

This power tool is intended to be used as a grinder. Read all the safety instructions, other instructions, illustrations and specifications supplied with this power tool. Failure to follow all the instructions below can result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

This power tool can be used for grinding and steel brushing. Using the tool for any other purpose can be dangerous and cause personal injury.

This power tool is not intended to be used for polishing.
-
Do not use accessories that are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer. Just because an accessory can be connected to the power tool does not mean it is safe to use.
-
The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the specified maximum speed of the power tool. Accessories run faster than the specified rated speed can break or shatter.
-
The outer diameter and thickness of the accessory must be within the rated capacity of the power tool. Accessories of the wrong size cannot be properly protected and controlled.

The threaded mounting of accessories must match the spindle thread on the grinder. For flange-fitted accessories, the spindle hole must match the control diameter of the flange. Accessories that do not fit the attachments on the tool will be unbalanced, vibrate excessively and can cause you to lose control of the tool.

Do not use damaged accessories. Before using the tool always check the accessory and make sure, for example, that the edges of grinding discs are not damaged, that there are no cracks or wear on the backing pad, and that the steel brush does not have any loose or damaged bristles. If you drop the power tool or an accessory, check that it is not damaged, or fit an undamaged accessory. After checking and fitting an accessory, position yourself and other people in the vicinity away from the direction of rotation of the accessory and then run the tool at its maximum no-load speed for one minute. Damaged accessories will normally break during this test period.

Wear safety equipment. Depending on the application, you should wear a visor, goggles or safety glasses. When necessary you should wear a dust mask, ear protection, gloves and an apron that can stop shavings and fragments from the workpiece. The eye protection must be able to stop flying debris produced by using the tool in different ways. The dust or breathing mask must be able to filter out the particles produced by the tool. Prolonged exposure to intense noise can impair hearing.

Keep onlookers at a safe distance from the work area. Everyone coming into the work area must wear personal safety equipment. Fragments from the workpiece, or from a defective accessory, can fly out and cause personal injury outside the actual work area.

Hold the tool with the insulated grips if there is a risk of coming into contact with hidden wiring or the power cord to the tool. When cutting accessories come into contact with a live wire, unprotected metal parts on the tool can become live and give the user an electric shock.

Position the power cord so that it cannot come into contact with the rotating accessory. If you lose control, the power cord can be cut or get stuck, and your hand or arm could be pulled into the rotating accessory.

Never put down the power tool until the accessory has completely stopped.
The rotating accessory can catch on the surface and cause you to lose control of the power tool. -
Do not run the tool while carrying it next to you. Unintentional contact with the rotating accessory can cause it to catch in your clothes and pull it towards your body.

Clean the ventilation grilles on the tool at regular intervals. The motor fan sucks dust into the tool casing and the accumulation of metal powder can result in the risk of electric shock.

Do not use the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks can ignite these materials.

Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants. The use of water or other liquid coolants can cause an electric shock.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Kickback and other warnings
Kickback is a sudden reaction when a rotating disc, backing pad, brush or
other accessory jams or catches on something. Jamming or catching will cause
the rotating accessory to block suddenly, which in turn can force the power
tool in the opposite direction to the rotating accessory. For example, if a
grinding disc pinches or sticks in the workpiece, the edge of the disc that
goes in at the sticking point could dig into the material and cause the disc
to recoil and kick back. The disc can jump either towards or away from the
user, depending on the direction of rotation of the disc when it jams.
Grinding discs can also break in these situations. Kickback is a result of the
incorrect use of the power tool, and/or incorrect procedures or working
conditions. Kickback can be avoided by observing the safety measures described
below:
- Keep a firm grip on the tool and position your body and arm so you can resist the force of a sudden kickback. Always use the support handle, if there is one, for maximum control of the kickback or torque response when starting the tool. The user can control torque response and kickback if the appropriate precautions are taken.
- Never put your hands near the rotating accessory. Kickback can cause the accessory to touch your hand.
- Keep your body away from the area where the power tool will go if there is a kickback. Kickback forces the tool in the opposite direction to the rotation of the disc.
- Take extra care when working on corners and sharp edges, etc. Avoid letting the accessory bounce or catch. Corners, sharp edges and bouncing can cause the rotating accessory to catch and cause the user to lose control of the tool, or cause it to kick back.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRINDING AND ABRASIVE CUTTING
- Use only the types of disc recommended for your power tool and the specific guard designed for your chosen disc. Discs that the tool is not designed for cannot be properly protected and are therefore not safe.
- The grinding surface on discs with a recessed center must be fitted below the plane of the protective flange. An incorrectly fitted disc that projects through the plane of the guard flange cannot be properly protected.
- The guard must be firmly fixed to the power tool and positioned for maximum safety so that the smallest possible part of the disc is exposed to the user. The guard helps to protect the user against broken-off fragments of the disc, accidental contact with the disc, and sparks that could set fire to clothing.
- Discs must only be used for the recommended applications. For example: Do not grind with the side of a cutting disc. Abrasive cutting discs are intended for grinding with the outer edges. If lateral forces are applied to these discs, they can shatter.
- Always use undamaged disc flanges of the right size and shape for the disc you have chosen. Correct disc flanges support the disc and therefore reduce the risk of the disc breaking. Flanges for cutting discs can differ from flanges for grinding discs.
- Do not use worn-down discs from a larger power tool. Discs from larger power tools are not suitable for the higher speeds of small tools and can shatter.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR BONDED GRINDING DISCS
Grinding discs can break and are sensitive to impact and pressure. For this
reason, take the following precautions when handling grinding discs:
- Do not drop grinding discs or subject them to knocks and blows.
- Do not use damaged grinding discs or discs that have been dropped.
- Avoid damaging the center hole.
- Do not subject grinding discs to heavy weights; do not put anything on top of them.
- Store grinding discs flat, or upright in a dry and frost-free place.
- When possible keep grinding discs in their original packaging, or in special containers or on special shelves.
VIBRATION AND NOISE ATTENUATION
To reduce the effects of noise and vibrations you should limit the time in
use, use the low-vibration and low-noise modes, and wear personal safety
equipment. Observe the following to minimise the risk of exposure to
vibrations and loud noise:
- Only use the power tool for the purpose it was designed for, and in accordance with these instructions.
- Make sure that the power tool is in good condition and well maintained.
- Use the right accessories for the power tool and make sure they are in good condition.
- Keep a firm grip on the handles/grips.
- Maintain the power tool in accordance with these instructions and make sure it is well lubricated (where applicable).
- Plan the work schedule to spread the use of tools with heavy vibrations over a longer period.
EMERGENCY MODE
Familiarise yourself with the use of this power tool with the help of these
instructions. Commit the safety instructions to memory and follow them to the
letter. This will help you to avoid risks and dangerous situations.
- Always pay attention when using this power tool, so that you can detect and handle risks at an early stage. Prompt action can prevent serious personal injury and material damage.
- Switch off the power tool and unplug it from the power supply in the event of a fault. Make sure the power tool is checked by a qualified professional, and if necessary repaired, before using it again.

instructions, there is still a risk of personal injury and other damage. The
following risks related to the design and construction of this tool can occur:
- Effects on health from vibration if the tool is used for long periods, or is not handled and maintained correctly.
- Personal injury and material damage as a result of defective accessories and hitting hidden objects when using the tool.
- Risk of personal injury and material damage as a result of ejected objects.
- Damage to lungs (if an effective face mask is not worn).
- Damage to ears (if effective ear protection is not worn).

Always wear ear protection!
The declared vibration value and noise, which have been measured by a
standardized test method, can be used to compare different tools with each
other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure. The measurement values
have been determined in accordance with EN 60745-2-3:2011.
WARNING!
The actual vibration and noise level when using tools may differ from the
specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used and the material.
It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required
to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating
conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time
when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start-
up time).

ASSEMBLY
FITTING THE SUPPORT HANDLE
The support handle (5) can be fitted on the right or left side of the product.

NOTE:
- Pull out the plug before fitting/removing the support handle.
- Always use the support handle and hold the tool firmly with both hands while working, otherwise, there is a risk of personal injury.
FITTING THE GUARD
- Remove the flanges.
- Undo the screws (b) with a screwdriver (a).
- Remove the pressure plate (c) from the grinding head. FIG. 3
- Put the guard (6) on the grinding head.
- Put the pressure plate (c) over the guard and align it to the mounting holes in the grinding head.
- Adjust the guard so that the unprotected part of the disc is as far away from the hand holding the handle (4) as possible.
- Tighten the three screws (b) so that the guard sits firmly in place and cannot move. FIG. 4
REPLACING GRINDING DISC
WARNING!
- The disc can be very hot after use!
- Switch off the product, pull out the plug, and wait until the motor and spindle (c) have completely stopped before pressing the spindle lock button. The spindle lock button must be held pressed when replacing the disc.
- Pull out the plug.
- Hold the spindle lock button (2) pressed to lock the spindle (c).
- Turn the spindle until it locks. FIG. 5
- Remove the outer flange (a) and the support plate (b) with the supplied flange key.
- Put the disc on the spindle.
- Replace the disc support plate and the outer flange.
- Release the spindle lock button. FIG. 6
Check the following before pressing the power switch (4),:
- The mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
- The disc is correctly in place.
- The outer flange is firmly tightened.
- The disc rotates freely and smoothly.
GRINDING DISC WITH FLAT OR COUNTERSUNK CENTRE
Screw the side handle into the hole on the side of the gear housing, on the
side preferred by the user.

USE
- Keep a firm grip on the handle (4) and support handle (5) when in use.
- Make sure not to put your hand over the ventilation openings on the product, this can cause the product to overheat. Wait until the disc has reached maximum speed.
- For best results, hold the grinding disc at an angle of 15-30° to the workpiece. Move the tool smoothly backward and forwards, without pressing too hard. This prevents ridging and overheating or discolouring of the workpiece.
- Always check that the tool, the guard and the grinding disc are in good condition before use. When the disc comes into contact with the workpiece this produces a lot of sparks. The guard must be positioned so that hot sparks are directed away from the user.
- Run the angle grinder at a suitable speed for the accessory in use. FIG. 8
NOTE:
- Do not block the openings on the angle grinder – risk of overheating and material damage.
- Switch off the product after use.
STARTING/STOPPING
WARNING!
The disc continues to rotate after the motor is switched off.
- Press the back part of the power switch (arrow 1).
- Move the power switch forward (arrow 2).
- Stop the angle grinder by pressing the back part of the power switch (3).
When the product is switched off the power switch automatically goes to the O position. Wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before putting down the product. FIG. 9
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
- Risk of electric shock.
- Pull out the plug before cleaning.
- Remove dust and dirt with a cloth moistened with detergent. Make sure that no water gets into the product.
- Clean the ventilation openings with a brush. The product is permanently lubricated and does not need further lubrication.
- Check the carbon brushes at regular intervals and replace them when they are worn down to 1/3.
NOTE:
Do not use strong detergents or solvents, they can damage the plastic parts
on the tool. Clean with a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent. Do not
expose the product to water or any other liquid.
