Safety instructions

1.1 In general
The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for correct use.

  • Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.

The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.

  • Keep this user manual.
  • Do not open the housing.
  • Do not modify product and accessories.
  • Do not short-circuit connectors and circuits.

A defective device may not be put into operation, but must be protected against further use.

  • Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.

The light sources are not exchangeable.

  • In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other problems, non-recoverable by the documentation, contact your dealer or producer.

Not meant for children. The product is not a toy!

  • Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.
  • Never look directly into the light source.
  • Do not aim the beam of the light into the eyes of other persons, animals or reflective surfaces.

The eyes can be damaged!

  • Handle the product carefully.
  • It will be damaged by blows, knocks or a fall from even a short height.
  • Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, vibration and mechanical pressure.

The product contains magnetic materials.

  • Regarding the compatibility with implanted medical devices, consult a doctor before use.
  • Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm to medical equipment.
  • Do not store or operate near bank cards.

1.2 Batteries
The batteries (rechargeable) are replaceable.

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
  • Do not mix alkaline, carbon zinc or nickel cadmium batteries.
  • Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries from the product and dispose them by appropriate protectives.
  • Do not throw into fire.

Description and function

2.1 Product
Battery-powered LED underfit lamp with motion detector as ideal lighting for cupboards, cabinets, drawers, corridors and garages.

  • switch for 3 modes: Off/On/Auto (light and motion sensor activated)
  • easy to install (includes accessories): 1. With magnetic strip and 3M adhesive tape or 2. With 2 screws and 2 mounts

2.2 Scope of delivery

Intended use

This product is intended exclusively for private use and its intended purpose. This product is not intended for commercial use. We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter „Description and Function“ or in the „Safety Instructions“. Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.
IP20: This product is protected against medium sized foreign objects, but not against water ingress.

Preparation

  • Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.

Mounting and operation

5.1 Insert batteries
NOTICE!
Material damage due to incorrect power supply

  • Only use batteries specified in the chapter „Specifications“ or batteries of an equivalent type.
  • Observe the safety instructions in chapter „1.2 Batteries“.
    1. Remove the magnetic strip from the LED underfit lamp.
    2. Slide the battery compartment cover in the opposite direction to the arrow. Fig. 2a.
    3. Fully remove the battery cover.
    4. Insert 6 new batteries into the battery compartment, observing the polarity of plus and minus. See Fig. 2b.
    5. Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow and let it click into place. Fig. 2c.

The LED underfit lamp is now ready for operation.
5.2 Mounting
Always make sure that the mounting location is chosen in a way that no persons are dazzled.
5.2.1 Mounting with adhesive tape
The mounting surface must be free of dirt and moisture and must be able to permanently support the weight of the underfit lamp.

  1. Remove the backing film from the 3M adhesive tape on the magnetic strip.
  2. Glue the magnetic strip with the adhesive tape side onto the intended mounting surface, either vertically or horizontally. Fig. 3a.
  3. Attach the LED underfit lamp to the magnetic strip with the metallic underside. Fig. 3b.

5.2.2 Mounting with mounts
The supplied crosshead screws (7) are only suitable for mounting on wood.

  1. Screw the mounts (8) with the crosshead screws (7) supplied horizontally or vertically to each other on a suitable surface. The hole spacing from holder to holder must not exceed 30.8 mm. Fig. 4a.
  2. Press the LED underfit lamp into the mounts. Fig. 4b.

5.3 Operating
The LED underfit lamp offers 3 modes:
ON: Slide the Off/On/Auto switch to the „ON“ position.
OFF: Slide the Off/On/Auto switch to the „OFF“ position
Auto: Slide the Off/On/Auto switch to the “AUTO“ position“.
The light switches on automatically when the sensor registers a movement within the specified movement radius of max. 5 m and the ambient brightness amounts ≤ 10 lux.
The light goes out again after 18 seconds if the sensor does not register any movement within this time.
The auto mode does not work if the ambient brightness is > 10 lux.
5.4 Replacing the batteries
If the luminosity of the LED underfit lamp becomes weaker or if it can no longer be switched on, the batteries must be replaced.

Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transportation

The product is maintenance-free.
NOTICE! Material damage

  • Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not use detergents or chemicals.
  • Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries when not in use.
  • Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and dust-protected ambience when not in use.
  • Store cool and dry.
  • Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

Traces of use may remain on the mounting surface after removal of the LED underfit lamp.

Disposal instructions

According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed with consumers waste. Its components must be recycled or disposed apart from each other. Otherwise contaminative and hazardous substances can damage the health and pollute the environment. As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose electrical and electronic devices to the producer, the dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devices lifetime for free. Particulars are regulated in national right. The symbol on the product, in the user manual, or at the packaging alludes to these terms. With this kind of waste separation, application, and waste disposal of used devices you achieve an important share to environmental protection.
