Getting Started

PLUG IN

The Project Nursery Soothing Projector offers 2 options for power:

  • power adapter
  • 3 AAA batteries (not included)

To use the power adapter: Plug the power adapter into the DC IN 6V jack on the back of the Soothing Projector. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a working outlet or surge protector.

To use batteries: Use a flathead screwdriver (not included) to unlatch the battery door on the bottom of the Soothing Projector.

Remove the battery door and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. (Match the polarity signs on the inside of the compartment!)

Place the battery door back on the bottom of the Soothing Projector.
Screw the battery door latch back into place to lock the door.

IMPORTANT: NEVER place the Soothing Projector or cords of any kind inside the crib. NEVER place the Soothing Projector or cords within reach of children. THIS IS NOT A TOY.

TURN ON

Press and hold the button on the front of the projector to turn it on. The speaker plays the power on sound.
After a few seconds, BT indicator starts flashing rapidly and the speaker announces “Pairing.”

PAIR WITH YOUR PHONE

Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on. Then open its Bluetooth menu and choose “Project Nursery PNP80” from the list of available devices.

After a few seconds, the speaker announces “Device connected” and the BT indicator turns solid blue.

Notes:
When you turn it on, the PNP80 tries to reconnect with the last device it was connected to. If you’d like to pair to a new device instead, give a quick doublepress to the . The speaker announces “Pairing,” and the BT indicator starts blinking rapidly. The PNP80 is ready to pair to your new device!

The process of enabling Bluetooth and connecting varies from device to device. See your device’s owners manual for more information and specific instructions.

SOUNDS ON Bluetooth Wireless Connection Tips

  • Make sure the Bluetooth capability of your device is turned on.
  • The Bluetooth wireless connection works up to a range of roughly 33 feet (10 meters). This range may vary, however, based on other factors, such as room layout, wall material, obstacles, your device’s Bluetooth performance, etc. If you’re having problems connecting to this speaker, move closer to it.
  • If your device asks you for a password to connect, use “0000”.

Everyday use

USING BLUETOOTH

To turn the projector on and off: Press and hold the on the front of the projector.

To play music from your phone on the projector: Make sure the projector is on and its BT indicator is solid blue (if it isn’t, give a quick press to the button). Then start playing music on your phone.

To play/pause music: Press the button on the projector or use the playback controls on your phone.

To control volume: Use the – and + buttons on the projector or the volume controls on your phone.

PLAYING THE BUILT-IN SOUNDS

The Project Nursery Soothing Projector offers a variety of built-in soothing lullabies and nature sounds, as well as white noise, to calm baby.

To turn built-in sounds on: Make sure the projector is on (press and hold if it’s not), then press the SOUNDS ON button.

To cycle through these sounds: Press the SOUNDS ON button again. Each press goes to a different selection.

To adjust the volume: Press the – or + button.

To switch to Bluetooth: Press the button

To turn off all sounds: Press and hold the button to turn the soother/projector off.

PLAYING

Note: If you hear a vibrating noise when you’re playing sounds, it might be the battery compartment door on the bottom of the projector. Check to make sure the battery door is completely closed and its latch is securely screwed in.

USING THE PROJECTOR

To use the projector: Make sure the projector is on (press and hold if it’s not). Press the (PROJECTOR) button on the front of the projector.

To adjust brightness of the projector (or turn it off): Press the (PROJECTOR) button repeatedly to cycle through the settings (low, high, and off).

CHANGING THE PROJECTOR IMAGES

The Project Nursery Soothing Projector offers three sets of images: colors/shapes (for newborns), sealife, and transportation.

To change to a different image set: Make sure the projector is off. Gently twist the door on the top of the projector to unlatch it. Then lift the door off.

On the bottom of the projector door, there’s a white image wheel with the three sets of images. Grab the outside edges of the wheel and gently rotate them to the left or right until you feel a click. (If you can’t go in one direction, try the other direction). Each click is a different image set.

Hold the projector door up to a light to see which set you’re on. When you’ve found the one you want, place the projector door back on top of the projector and twist it back into place.

CHANGING THE PROJECTOR IMAGES

USING THE LIGHT

The front of the Soothing Projector offers soft area illumination in three levels of brightness, to complement the projector lighting.

To turn the light on: Make sure the projector is on (press and hold if it’s not). Press the (LIGHT) button on the front of the projector.

To adjust or turn off the light: Press the LIGHT button repeatedly to cycle through the settings (high, medium, low, and off).

USING THE TIMER

The timer shuts the projector, light, and sound off automatically after 1 hour.

To set the timer: Press the (TIMER) button on the front of the projector.

The indicator above TIMER button shows that the timer is active.

Press (TIMER) again to turn the timer off.
