INTRODUCTION

This Quick Start Guide is not a substitute for reading the operator’s manual. To reduce the risk of injury or death, user must read and understand operator’s manual before using this product.

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

  • Fresh clean unleaded gasoline (not included)

  • Funnel (included)

  • 4-stroke engine oil (included)

BEFORE STARTING

Add engine oil

a. Unlock and remove the engine service cover to access the oil dipstick.

b. Remove oil dipstick.

Using the supplied 4-cycle engine oil and funnel, slowly add engine oil to the engine until full.
Do not overfill. If oil level is too high, oil will drain out through the fill plug.

Add unleaded gasoline to gas tank

a. Unscrew gas cap on top of tank.
Add unleaded gasoline to gas tank
b. Slowly add gasoline into the fuel tank. The gasoline level should NOT be higher than the red maximum fill ring.

Secure gas cap.

Hook up LPG tank

a. Connect included LPG hose to standard LPG tank and hand tighten.
b. Connect other end of LPG hose to generator and hand tighten.
c. Test connections with soapy water to make sure there are no leaks.

STARTING PROCEDURE

  1. Make sure the generator is OUTSIDE in a well ventilated dry area and FAR AWAY from any doors, windows, or vents.

  2. Check fuel and oil levels.

  3. Make sure nothing is plugged into power outlets.

  4. Make sure receptacle circuit breakers are properly set for operation, if equipped.

  5. Turn Eco Mode OFF.

  6. Choose fuel source:
    a. If starting with Gasoline: Turn fuel selector switch to the gasoline position. Make sure the LPG hose is disconnected from the generator.

b. If starting with Propane: Turn fuel selector switch to the propane position. Make sure the LPG hose is connected to the generator. Open the propane valve.

  1. Place the engine switch in the RUN position.

  2. For cold starting, pull the choke lever to the on position.

  3. Pull recoil handle slowly until you feel resistance, then apply rapid pull up and away from generator.

  4. When the engine starts, gradually push the choke lever to the off position.

NOTE: When using LPG fuel, repeat steps 8 – 10 until the generator starts.

  1. Plug in the electrical devices.

Following the maintenance schedule is important to keep the inverter in good operating condition. The following is a summary of maintenance items by periodic maintenance intervals. Refer to the Maintenance section in the Owners Manual to find out how to properly perform maintenance.

  1. Change oil every month when operating under heavy load or in high temperatures
  2. Clean more often under dirty or dusty conditions.

ENGINE OIL

Only use 4-stroke/cycle engine oil. NEVER USE 2-STROKE/CYCLE OIL. Synthetic oil is an acceptable substitute for conventional oil.
