Installation
This device is designed to be flush ceiling mounted.
- Do not site the unit where direct sunlight might enter the sensor.
- Do not site the sensor within 1m of any lighting, forced air heating or ventilation.
- Do not fix the sensor to an unstable or vibrating surface.
- Avoid metallic objects directly in front of the sensor head.
- If the range is compromised by the ceiling construction or material, add the supplied 20mm spacer ring.
-
Create cut out
Cut a 74mm diameter hole in the ceiling. -
Spacer ring
If the range is compromised by the ceiling construction / material. Add the supplied 20mm spacer ring. -
Wire in plugs & connect to detector
-
Install detector
Bend the springs up and push detector through hole in ceiling. When fully inserted the springs snap back to hold the device in place.
To avoid injury, take care when bending springs.
Head locking
Remove metal locking clip from rear of unit.
Adjust head to required position. Push clip into position shown below to lock
head.
To remove clip, lever out with a small screwdriver.
