Product Usage Instructions

  1. Disconnect the protective earth connection (plug contact) and strip the power supply line.
  2. Secure the luminaire to the mounting base using appropriate fastening materials.
  3. Ensure that the included gaskets are properly inserted.
  4. Reconnect the protective earth connection to the plug device.
  5. Make the electrical connection to the plug device.
  6. Pay attention to the proper seating of the gasket.
  7. During installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
  8. Loosen the hexagon socket head cap screws (3x) to disassemble the LED module.
  9. Loosen the LED-connection and earth connection (plug connection).

Note: The installation and operation of this luminaire should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. For additional protection against transients and overvoltage, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended.

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Loosen hexagon socket head cap screws (3x). Disassemble LED module. Loosen LED- connection and earth connection (plug connection). Dismantle the mains supply cable. Lead mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing. Fix the luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets. Push silicone sleeves over the lines. Make earth conductor connection to plug connection. Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection to plug connection. Make earth connection between LED module and luminaire housing (plug connection). Push LED plug into coupler as fa as it will go. Assemble LED module. Tighten the hexagon socket head cap screws evenly (3x). Please observe that the LED module is not damaged mechanically. Fix glass to the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise. Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt. Defective glass must be replaced.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire. The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
