INSTALLATION:
- Select a location.
- Do not set a ground stake more than 5.5″ inches into the ground. The outlets should be as far from the ground as possible to prevent exposure in case of flooding.
- Plug the ground stake’s cord into a 3-prong grounded electrical outlet. outdoor electrical devices should be plugged into a GFCI-approved outlet.)
INSTRUCTIONS:
COUNTDOWN MODE: Make sure the sliding mode switch on the transmitter is
in the COUNTDOWN position. Select from the following:
ON: Power will turn on instantly and stay ON until the device is powered
OFF. The [ON] indicator on the ground stake’s front panel will illuminate.
OFF: Power will turn OFF instantly. All indicators on the ground stake’s
front panel will turn
OFF. 2HR, 6HR, UR: When pressed. power Is ON instantly and will turn OFF
to alter the 2 hours. 6 hours. or 8-hour selected countdown time. The
corresponding 2HR. 6HR. 8HR indicators on the ground stake’s front panel will
illuminate. All indicators will turn OFF after the program is completed.
Dusk/Dawn: When pressed. the unit will power ON at dusk and turn OFF at
dawn one time. The Dusk/Dave indicator on the front panel will illuminate. All
indicators will turn off after the program is completed.
Repeat Switch: When the sliding switch is in the Repeat On position the
unit will repeat the last 2HR, 6HR, 8HR, or Dusk/Dawn program daily. The power
ON time will be the same as the last set time. The unit will power OFF after
the last selected countdown time. The repeat indicator on the ground stake’s
front panel will illuminate as well as the selected countdown time until
repeat mode is canceled. To cancel repeat mode, you must slide the repeat
switch into the Repeat Off position and press the desired function button.
(Note: Sliding the repeat button without pressing a corresponding function
button will not initiate or cancel the repeat function.
PHOTOCELL (DARKNESS-SENSING) MODE:
Make sure the sliding mode switch on the transmitter is in the photocell
position. Select from the following:
ON: Power will turn on instantly. The power will turn off at dawn
automatically. The [ON] indicator on the ground stake’s front panel will
illuminate.
OFF: Power will turn [OFF] instantly. All indicators on the ground
stake’s front panel will turn off.
2HR, 8HR, BHR: When pressed, power will be turned ION) at dusk and off
after the 2-hour, 6-hour. or B-hour selected countdown time. (Note: If dawn
comes before the selected countdown time has expired, the unit will turn off
at dawn.) The corresponding 2HR, 6HR, and 8HR indicators on the ground stake’s
front panel will illuminate. All indicators will turn off after the program is
completed.
Repeat Switch: When the sliding switch is in the Repeat On position the
unit will repeat the last 2HR, 6HR., or 8HR program daily. The unit will power
[ON] at dusk and will power (OFF] after the last selected countdown time. The
repeat indicator on the front panel will illuminate as well as the selected
countdown lime until the repeat mode is canceled.
Note: Sliding the repeat button without pressing a corresponding function
button will not initiate or cancel the repeat function.
MANUAL CONTROL
Press the ON button on the transmitter or the ON button on the front panel of
the ground stake to override the current ON/OFF program status. If you press
the OFF button on the remote or press the ON button on the ground stake a
second time. the unit will revert back to the last programmed setting.
COMMAND1 TRANSMITTER PAIRING:
Note: Your Command Transmitter and Receiver contained in this package are
pre-programmed and ready to use. Com mand1 Pairing is only required for using
additional transmitters or if the channel has been changed on the transmitter.
This unit is equipped with patented Command 1 technology. All Westinghouse
indoor and outdoor transmitters have the ability to be paired with all
Westinghouse Indoor and outdoor receivers. Please follow the directions below
to pair a transmitter to your receiver.
- Locate the power [ON/OFF] button on the receiver.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The LED power indicator will begin to flash slowly.

NOTE: If you are experiencing interference between 2 devices. Please,
follow the instructions below:
CHANNEL SELECTOR:
The back of your transmitter is equipped with a channel selector switch to
prevent interference between devices around your home. To prevent interruption
between 2 devices, set your transmitter to an alternate channel. Transmitter
channel codes are as follows: A. B. C. D.
Location: Peel off the sticker located above the word “channel” on the
back of the transmitter to expose the channel selector switch. Be aware that
every time a channel Is changed Commands Transmitter Pairing is required. See
Command Transmitter Pairing Instructions.
- On your transmitter. Press [ON] wait 2 seconds and then press [OFF]. The LED indicator will now stop flashing.
- You have successfully paired the transmitter to your receiver.
RESETTING THE UNIT
You can reset and remove all paired transmitters on your receiver by doing the following:
- Press and hold the [ON/OFF] button on the receiver for 3 seconds. The LED indicator will begin to flash slowly. Continue to hold for an additional 3 seconds. The LED indicator will now begin to flash rapidly. Release the [ON/OFF] button for 1 second and press once again to confirm reset. The LED indicator should now be OFF.
- Your unit has now been reset and does not have any paired transmitters. (Note: After reset. pairing is required to use the transmitter shipped in this package.)
BATTERY INFORMATION AND REPLACEMENT
The Remote Control uses a 3-volt CR2032 lithium battery. To replace, slide off the battery at the bottom side of the transmitter. Insert a new CR2032 lithium battery, making sure to match up the + and — polarity markings. Slide the cover back in. To test, press the ON or OFF buttons to make sure the LED lights up. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
WARNING:
DO NOT splice, repair or modify. Unplug when not in use. Fully insert the plug. DO NOT use damaged remote sets. Inspect periodically. Use within the electrical rating marked on the remote set. DO NOT plug more than a total of 1875 watts into this remote ground stake. If watts are not marked on the appliance, multiply the ampere rating (a nameplate) by 125 to determine equivalent watts. Add determined watts for each plugged-in appliance or lamp (sum of watts on bulbs) to find the total watts being used. Operating temperature range –30°C (-22°F) to 45°C (113°F). Suitable for damp locations. Not for water immersion or for use where di rectty exposed to water. Store indoors when not in use. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
- Only use the batteries specified and be sure to match the + and – polarity markings.
- Do not mix old batteries and new batteries or standard (carbon-zinc) with alkaline batteries.
- Remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
- Remove batteries if the product is not to be used for a long time.
- Do not dispose of batteries in tires. Batteries may explode or leak. As with all small items, these batteries should be kept away from children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
Problem | Solution |

The receiver doesn’t turn on | Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged |
into an AC power outlet.
Unplug the unit for a moment. and then plug it back in again. Check the outlet
by plugging in another device.
The remote doesn’t work| Make sure the battery is fresh. Stand closer to the
receiver. the range should be up to 80ft.
Doors or walls will reduce the operational distance.
