Quiet Pipes Hammer Arrestor
The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor is equipped with a 1/2″ Male Copper Tube Sized (CTS) adapter. You must first install a tee in the water line to accommodate the Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor will sweat/press into a 1/2″ copper tee. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor can be installed horizontally or vertically.
- Turn off the water supply to the valve.
- Cut the water line and install a tee. Both ends of the tee must be sweat/pressed to the pipe. Using Oatey Lead-Free Solder is recommended.
- Sweat/Press Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor into the copper tee.
- Turn the water on and check for leaks.
