Product Information
Retro Master Flash
The Retro Master Flash is a roof flashing that is used to seal around pipes
that protrude from a roof. It is made of a flexible EPDM rubber material that
can accommodate pipe diameters from 1/4 inch to 4 inches. The Retro Master
Flash is designed to provide a watertight seal between the pipe and the roof,
preventing water from entering the building through the roof opening.
Product Usage Instructions
- Using a pair of scissors, trim the opening of the Retro Master Flash roof flashing to meet your pipe diameter, as necessary.
- Wrap the Retro Master Flash roof flashing around the pipe, making sure it is centered over the opening. Install all snap rivets to seal the flange.
- Press the Retro Master Flash down, bending it to conform to the roof profile or roof irregularities. A blunt tool such as a screwdriver or wooden dowel can help press the flashing into tight roof angles.
- Apply a non-petroleum-based sealant between the base of the Retro Master Flash and the roof. This will help to ensure a watertight seal. Use fasteners such as screws or nails to complete the sealing. For UPC installation, fastener spacing may not exceed 1-1/2 in. (38 mm).
- Install the supplied cable tie at the uppermost part of the Retro Master Flash roof flashing to secure it in place. Apply sealant to any gaps between the flashing and the roof.
Note: It is important to follow all local building codes and regulations when installing the Retro Master Flash. If you are unsure about any aspect of the installation, consult a qualified professional.
