OATEY 34441 Quiet Pipes CPVC Male Straight AA Hammer Arrestor
INSTRUCTION GUIDE
The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor is equipped with a 1/2″ Male CPVC Copper Tube Sized (CTS) adapter. You must first install a tee in the water line to accommodate the Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor will solvent weld into the 1/2″ CPVC tee. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor can be installed horizontally or vertically.
- Turn off the water supply to the valve.
- Cut water line and install a tee. Both ends of the tee must be solvent welded to the pipe.
- Using Oatey CPVC Solvent Cement and Primer is recommended.
- Solvent weld Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor into CPVC tee and allow for recommended cure time.
- Turn the water on and check for leaks.
