INTENDED USE

  • The appliance is intended for creating curls on human hair. Do not use the appliance on pets, other animals or objects, including clothing. Do not use this appliance on synthetic hair.
  • This appliance is intended for indoor home use only, and is not suitable for professional or commercial purposes. Any other use is not intended and may be hazardous.
  • The manufacturer will not be liable for any injury caused by non-intended use.

DO NOT OPERATE THIS PRODUCT NEAR BATH TUBS, SHOWERS, WASH BASINS OR OTHER CONTAINERS FILLED WITH WATER!

  • The appliance can be used by children at least 8 years of age and people with limited physical, motor or mental capacity, or people not having relevant experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or have been previously instructed on the safe use of the appliance and the risks.
  • This appliance is not a toy and children must not play with it.
  • The appliance must only be cleaned by adults or under adult supervision.
  • It is forbidden to use the device in places with high humidity.
  • Children might not be aware of the potential hazards related to operation of electric appliances. Do not let children play with the appliance. The appliance is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children.
  • Before cleaning the device, always unplug it and let it cool down.
  • ATTENTION! The device heats up during operation. Do not touch the ceramic part of the device – risk of burns.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised technical service agent or a qualified professional to avoid life and health hazards

Follow these essential safety precautions for electric appliances, to minimise the risk of injury or damage to property:

  • Before operating the appliance for the first time, make sure that the mains outlet voltage matches the appliance ratings. The appliance specifications are shown on its data plate. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
  • Unpack the appliance and make sure it is not damaged or incomplete. Should you have any doubts, contact the customer service. Keep all packaging parts, like plastic bags, polystyrene foam inserts, etc. away from children: these parts cause an asphyxiation / choking hazard. Do not modify the appliance or install any accessories not specifically designed for it. Otherwise it may cause a hazard to the health of the user and/or damage to the appliance.
  • Do not operate the appliance with wet hands. Do not keep the appliance in humid places.
  • To prevent a fire or electrocution, make sure that no liquids are in contact with any electric components or the power cord of the appliance. Do not expose the appliance to water or dust, or operate it outdoors. Keep the appliance away from all containers and vessels which hold liquids, including wash basins, flower vases and flower pots.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use, even if momentarily, and after each use.
  • Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Immediately isolate the mains outlet using the respective circuit breaker and then unplug the power cord. Do not use the appliance until allowed to do so by a qualified electrician after they inspect the appliance.
  • Do not leave the appliance switched on near clothes, paper or other combustible materials. Do not use the appliance near sources of heating / cooking gas or other extremely flammable chemicals.
  • Protect the appliance against falling and hard shocks.
  • If the appliance is damaged while in use, dropped on the floor or works abnormally, immediately have it repaired by a professional. Do not attempt to repair the appliance on your own. Failure to comply may expose the user to hazards and void the appliance warranty.
  • Have the appliance repaired by professionals only.
  • Warning! Do not immerse the appliance or any of its parts in water or another liquid to clean it. Never put the appliance under running water.
  • Routinely inspect the power cord and its plug for damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorised technical service or a qualified professional to avoid life and health hazards.
  • Do not cut, nick, splice, modify or wrap the power cord around the appliance handle. Keep the power cord away from all heat sources, especially all hot components of the appliance. Do not pull on, twist or bend the power cord with excessive force. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Protect the power cord from being pinched by heavy objects.
  • If the power cord plug is not fully engaged in the mains outlet, do not turn on the appliance. Failure to comply may cause a fire and/or hazardous injury.
  • The appliance is rated as safety class II (double electrical insulation). It does not require a mains outlet with a PE (protective earth) pin.
  • Warning! Make sure no foreign objects, including hair pins, enter the appliance’s body. Otherwise there is a risk of electrical short-circuit.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains by holding the plug and not the power cord.
  • If any liquid accidentally spills onto the electrical parts of the device and causes damage to it, see a specialist who will repair the device.
  • Warning! Make sure there are no metal objects (e.g. hairpins) in the hair.

RISK OF BURNING!

  • The device itself becomes hot during operation. Avoid contact of heated surfaces with skin and eyes.
  • To increase safety and prevent scalp burns use the device in front of the mirror.
  • Allow to cool before storing the device.
  • If the device is hot, put it on a surface resistant to high temperatures and never cover the device with a towel, clothing, etc.

RISK OF APPLIANCE BODY DAMAGE!

  • Do not direct hair spray or water spray at the appliance or keep the appliance near any cosmetic products which may chemically damage the appliance body.
  • Do not expose the appliance to flammable chemicals, including paint thinners, chemical spray products, etc.
  • Use the appliance in strict compliance with the User Manual. Do not install any accessories in the appliance.
  • Leave the appliance to cool down before placing it in storage.
  • If the appliance is hot, leave it on a surface which is resistant to high temperatures and NEVER cover the appliance with towels, clothing, etc.
  • The device is not recommended for extremely fluffy or curly hair.

Test the product for proper operation once it has been unpacked. Dispose of the packaging materials in compliance with local waste management laws.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

OPERATION

First steps:

  • Make sure that all packaging parts have been removed from the appliance.
  • Hair should be clean, dry and combed. Do not use hairspray or other flammable chemical hair products.
  • The appliance must be clean and dry and the power cord completely unwound.
  • Do not use hairspray or other flammable chemical hair products.

Operating the product:

  1. Insert the plug into the wall socket and turn on the device by sliding the switch to the ON position. The indicator light will then come on.

  2. The device heats up around 5 min.

  3. Start by separating a thin hair strand.

  4. The selected strand should be combed for smoothing and tightened by holding it with the other hand.

  5. Holding the strand of hair, lift the clamp by pressing the release button with your thumb.
    Then insert the tip of the selected hair strand into the clamp and release the clamp release button, which will cause the selected strand to be pressed against the curler.
    NOTE : Make sure that the hair is placed in the clamp in the right direction, allowing the device to curl to the base of the hair.

  6. Then, roll the hair up to the root of the hair, being careful not to touch the scalp to avoid burns.
    WARNING! Do not hold the hair strand for longer than 20 seconds. Failure to comply with this recommendation may result in a risk of burning hair.

  7. To release the strand of hair, press the clamp release button again and gently pull the curler away from your head.

  8. After you have finished curling your hair and completely cool it, gently comb the hair to get the desired style.

  9. After use, turn off the device by sliding the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position, then remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the device cools down, then put it in a safe place.

Safety precautions:

  1. The device must be switched off before connecting to the socket.
  2. Please note that some surfaces of the device may be hot. They must not be touched and other people should be warned. The device is very hot when in use. When using the device, be careful not to touch the hot surface to bare skin, especially around the ears, face and neck.
  3. Wait at least 30 minutes for the device to cool down and store it.
  4. If the device is hot, put it on a surface resistant to high temperatures and never cover the device with a towel, clothing, etc.
  5. Activities such as operating the device, moving the switch, touching a plug, cord or wall outlet may only be performed after thoroughly drying your hands.
  6. When the device is connected to a power socket, it must never be left unattended. To disconnect the device, first check whether it is turned off (after making sure that the on / off switch is exactly in the down position – OFF, that the device is turned off will be indicated by a switched off indicator light), and then remove the plug from the power socket.
  7. After use, turn off the device, then unplug it. After reaching a high temperature, the device remains hot, so do not touch the heated body due to the risk of burns.
  8. Do not put the device in water or any other liquid as it may short circuit. Do not use the device in wet rooms.
  9. After using the device and cooling it down completely, clean the curling iron. To do this, use a damp cloth and then dry the device with a dry cloth.
  10. Do not use the device if the cable is damaged.
    Hint: Use a hair conditioner frequently to keep your hair in good condition.
    The length of the styling effect is determined by the type of hair.

CLEANING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

CLEANING

  • Always unplug the appliance from the mains and leave it to cool down before cleaning.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Next wipe the appliance dry. The appliance must be completely dry before use.
  • There are no user-installable components for this device.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! Do not use any solvents.

STORAGE

  • Switch off the device by sliding the ON/OFF switch downwards and disconnect cord from the mains when not using the appliance.
  • Before storing the device, wait until it has cooled down (approx. 30 min), and then store it in a dry and safe place out of reach of children.
  • Never wrap the power cord around the appliance; this will accelerate the wear and reduce the life of the power cord, resulting in failure of the insulation and loss of warranty rights. Handle the power cord with care. Do not pull it, stretch it or twist it, especially at the ends.

WARRANTY

To make a complaint, the product purchased must be delivered to the Customer Service Centre in any Biedronka store. In the event of any questions and problems related to the operation of the product, contact at: info@joinco.com.pl

  1. The guarantor of this product provides a 36-month warranty from the date of purchase. If a defect is detected, the device should be complained about at the place of purchase.
  2. A damaged product is considered to be a product that does not perform the functions set out in the user manual and the reason for this condition is the inherent property of the device.
  3. In order to file a complaint, the warranty holder is obliged to deliver the device to the Customer Service Centre in a particular store together with the proof of purchase (receipt, invoice). The exact description of the device defect must also be indicated.
  4. Mechanical damage not caused by the fault of the manufacturer or distributor is not covered by the warranty.
  5. Products that have been repaired, reworked, or reconstructed are not covered by the warranty.
  6. Components that are subject to normal wear and tear during operation are excluded from the warranty.
  7. When lodging a complaint, a complete device must be delivered to facilitate the verification of the defect.
  8. Repair service will make every effort to complete the repair within 21 days. This term may be extended to 1 month if there is a need to purchase spare parts which are not currently available at the repair shop.
  9. This warranty for a sold consumable does not exclude, restrict or suspend the buyer’s rights under the provisions on warranty for defects of goods sold in accordance with\ the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws 2014.121).
  10. The warranty coverage is ensured in the territory of the Republic of Poland and includes the products purchased exclusively in Biedronka stores.

This appliance conforms to the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). Consequently, the product is CE marked and features a Declaration of Conformity to European standards.
