OPERATION
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
Before first use, remove the film / sticker from the iron’s soleplate (if
any).
ATTENTION! The iron may give off some smoke when you use it the first time. This is normal and does not mean that the iron is damaged. The iron should be placed in a well-ventilated room at that time. The iron will stop emitting smoke after a short while. In the event the smoke does not cease, the iron should be unplugged immediately.
ATTENTION! Before you start ironing, check the garment’s laundry care label for the required ironing temperature.
ATTENTION! If the laundry care label contains no information on ironing, but you know the type of fabric, follow the information in the table below. The information provided in the table applies to the base fabric and does not pertain to any finishes, sheen etc. Textiles with finishing (sheen, wrinkle reduction etc.) are best ironed at slightly lower temperatures.
ATTENTION! First, sort fabrics by ironing temperature: wool with wool, cotton with cotton etc. The iron heats up faster than it cools down. Accordingly, start with fabrics that require the lowest ironing temperature, such as synthetics. Then move to garments that require higher ironing temperatures.
| Material| Temperature| Recommendations
---|---|---|---
OFF –| Synthetics synthetic fabrics
(e.g. acrylic, polyester)| Low temperature| Always check if the iron’s
temperature is right by ironinga part of the article that is not visible when
worn or used.
| Nylon| Low temperature
–| Silk| Normal temperature
| Wool| Normal temperature
–| Cotton| Normal temperature
– MAX| Linen| High temperature
