The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for
a period of 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within
this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced,
or refunded at our discretion. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in
addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the
consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and
territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to
be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Pack contents/parts
Congratulations on the purchase of your FERREX® 1100W Turbine Blower. When you
open your packaging, first remove all items and check there are no parts
damaged or missing. If you find anything wrong, do not operate the product
until the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure to
do so could result in serious personal injury.
Application
First-time users or inexperienced operators pay particular attention to the
operation of the 1100W Turbine Blower, including details of starting and
stopping and correct use of the 1100W Turbine Blower on pages 12-13, as well
as the maintenance instructions on page 13.
Intended use of the 1100W Turbine Blower
It is exclusively intended for home use. It is not designed for trade or
commercial use.
This 1100W Turbine Blower is intended for residential use only. Use the blower
outdoors to move yard debris as needed.
Any other use or change to the appliance is deemed improper and poses a
significant risk of accidents.

The appliance is designed only for blowing dry leaves in private households and as a hobby appliance in the garden. Any other utilization, which is not explicitly approved in these directions, can lead to damage to the appliance and represent a serious danger to the user. -
The appliance is designed for use by adults. Young people over 16 years may use the appliance under supervision only.

Training
a) Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and the
proper use of the appliance;
b) Never allow children to use the appliance.
c) Never allow people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the appliance.
Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator;
d) Never operate the appliance while people, especially children, or pets are
nearby;
e) The operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to
other people or their property.
Preparation
a) While operating the appliance, always wear substantial footwear and long
trousers. Do not operate the equipment when barefoot or wearing open sandals;
b) Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that can be drawn into the air inlet.
Keep long hair away from the air inlets.
c) Wear protective goggles while operating
d) To prevent dust irritation the wearing of a face mask is recommended
e) Before using, check the supply and extension cord for signs of damage and
aging. Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged or worn.
f ) Never operate the appliance with defective guards or shields, or without
safety devices.
g) Only use a weatherproof extension cable fitted with a coupler according to
IEC 60320-2-3.
h) It is recommended that the appliance should be supplied via a residual
current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more than 30 mA.
i) If an extension cord is used make sure it is for outdoor use and marked as
such. The recommended size of an extension cord is not lighter than 0.75mm2.
Operation
a) Always direct the cord to the rear away from the appliance.
b) If the cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect the supply cord from the
mains immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE SUPPLY.
c) Do not carry the appliance by the cord.
d) Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply
– whenever you leave the machine;
– before clearing a blockage;
– before checking, cleaning or working on the appliance;
– if the appliance starts to vibrate abnormally.
e) Operate the appliance only in daylight or in good artificial light.
f ) Do not overreach and keep your balance at all times.
g) Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
h) Walk, never run;
i) Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.
j) Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders.
h) Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
Maintenance and storage
a) Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the appliance is in safe
working condition;
b) Replace worn or damaged parts.
c) Use only genuine replacement parts and accessories.
d) Store the appliance only in a dry place.

Assembly
WARNING: Before assembling and disassembling the blower tubes, be sure the on/off switch is in the ‘’0’’ Off position and the plug is removed from the mains power outlet.

Unpacking (See Fig. A)
Unpack all parts and lay them on a flat, stable surface. You will find an upper blower tube (3), a lower blower tube (2) with a nozzle (1) are provided with the main machine. You will need to assemble the upper blower tube (3), and the lower blower tube (2) with the nozzle (1) together for use. -
Assembling and disassembling the upper blower tube (3) (See Fig. B1, B2)
To assemble, press the tube release button (8) and slide the upper blower tube (3) into the motor housing (6). Ensure the hole (a) on the upper blower tube (3) matches up with the tube release button (8) on the motor housing (6).
To disassemble, press the tube release button (8), and remove the upper tube (3) from the motor housing (6).
NOTE: Do not try to separate the tubes by force or by using tools.

Assembling the lower blower tube (2) (See Fig. C1, C2)
To assemble, slide the lower blower tube (2) onto the upper blower tube (3). Ensure the hole (b) on the lower blower tube (2) matches up with the raised notch (c) on the upper blower tube (3). Pull the lower blower tube (2) to check if it is assembled well.
NOTE: Once assembled, the lower tube cannot be disassembled from the upper blower tube. -
Nozzle (1) (See Fig. D)
The nozzle (1) has a compression fit to the lower tube.
NOTE: It is not recommended to disassemble the nozzle from the blower. -
Attaching the extension cord (See Fig. E)
Create a loop with your extension cord (not supplied), and place it through the extension cord retainer (9) and over the hook. This will ensure your extension cord is secure and reduce any incidence of the plug detaching during use.
Operation
- Starting & stopping (See Fig. F)
– Starting
Move the on/off switch (4) to the “I” or “II” On position.
Speed “I” is the lower speed. Speed “II” is a higher speed.
– Stopping
Move the on/off switch (4) to the “0” Off position.
WARNING! The blower runs for a few seconds after it has been switched
off.
NOTE: Let the motor come to a complete standstill before setting the
blower down.
- Using the blower
WARNING: During the operation of the blower it is recommended to wear eye protection, a dust mask, and full hearing protection.
Ensure you are wearing suitable clothing.
User tips
- Adjust the blowing speed (I or II) according to the desired working condition.
- Hold the blow tube approximately 8” (20.3cm) above the ground when operating the blower.
- Use a sweeping motion from side to side. Advance slowly keeping the accumulated debris/leaves in front of you.
- After blowing the debris/leaves into a pile, it is easy to dispose of the pile.
Caution!
- Do not blow hard objects such as nails, bolts, or rocks. It is recommended to inspect the area you are blowing before starting use to ensure this does not occur.
- Do not operate the blower near bystanders or pets.
- Use extra care when cleaning debris from stairs or other tight areas.
- Wear safety goggles or other suitable eye protection, long pants, and shoes.
Adjusting the blowing speed with a 2-speed switch (4) (See Fig. G1, G2)
Move the on/off switch (4) to the “I” position, and the blower will run at a
lower speed. (See Fig. G1)
Move the on/off switch (4) to the “II” position, and the blower will run at a
higher speed. (See Fig. G2)
Residual risk
Even if you use the 1100W blower properly per the instructions provided and
follow all safety notes, there are always residual risks. The following risk
may occur:
- Accidental Starting: Always unplug the blower from the power outlet before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance. When not in use, store the blower in a safe, dry, clean environment.
- Risk of blowing: Do not direct the output of the blower tube at any person, the operator, or any animal. Never place hands in front of the nozzle, direct blowing away from self or others, and always operate in an area clear of all persons, pets and obstacles. Do not operate the product when fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, stay alert at all times.
Reduce residual risks by using the 1100W blower with care and following all safety notes as well as other instructions.
Maintenance
Remove the plug from the mains power outlet before carrying out any
adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
There are no user-serviceable parts in your blower. Never use water or
chemical cleaners to clean your blower. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Keep the
motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working controls free of dust.
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has to be done by the
manufacturer or his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
Cleaning and Storage

Cleaning the blower
Clean the blower regularly after each use.
Warning!
– Keep your blower dry. Under no circumstances spray with water.
– To clean the blower, use only mild soap and a damp cloth.
– Do not use any type of detergent, cleaner or solvent which may contain chemicals that could seriously damage the plastic.
– Self-lubricating bearings are used in your product, therefore lubrication is not required. -
Storage
You can store your blower by hanging it on the wall with the hanging hole (11) at the back of the blower.
(See Fig. H)
• Dry all parts thoroughly before using the device again or storing it. Always keep the openings clean and dry.
• Store the blower and extension cord indoors, in a cool dry location, that is protected from dust, moisture, and direct sunlight and that is also out of the reach of children and animals.

Use only FERREX® replacement parts for your product.
Non-conforming parts or modifications made to parts will void your warranty.
Environmental protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, hoses, and packaging should be sorted, taken to the local recycling center, and disposed of in an environmentally safe way. Dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is compatible with the environment. We suggest you take it in a sealed container to your local service station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the trash or pour it into the earth.
What does your 3-year warranty mean?
Great care has gone into the manufacture of this product and it should
therefore provide you with years of good service when used properly. In the
event of a product failure within its intended use over the course of the
first 3 years after the date of purchase, we will remedy the problem as
quickly as possible once it has been brought to our attention. In the
