INTENDED PURPOSE

Lint remover is a device for getting rid of lint, pilling and fuzz balls from sweaters, blouses and shirts. This device is intended for private indoor use only and can not be used for professional purposes.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please read this manual in whole before using the product.
  2. Household use only. Do not use the product for any purpose other than its intended use.
  3. In order to prevent fire when using electrical appliances, in particular in the presence of children, follow basic safety rules.
  4. Do not clean the product using corrosive cleaning agents.
  5. Protect the appliance from the penetration of water or other liquids.
  6. If the device is blocked, before maintenance, turn it off and remove the batteries.
  7. The appliance is not a toy.
  8. Children may not play with the appliance.
  9. When the appliance is not in use or prior to cleaning it, always remove the batteries.
  10. Observe caution when opening the container in order not to damage it.
  11. Do not bend or deform the perforated cover over the blades.
  12. Be very careful when removing the blades.
  13. CAUTION! Risk of injury! The razor blades are very sharp.
  14. CAUTION! Do not use the shaver without the metal blade cover.
  15. Straighten the fabric surface before using the shaver.
  16. CAUTION! Do not use the shaver on garments that are being worn by anyone, including you. There is a risk of injury or damage to the shaver.

Instruction manual

Open the box and carefully remove the appliance from it. Check that the set is complete and intact. Make sure that plastic parts are not cracked. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the dealer and do not use the appliance. Retain the packaging or recycle it in accordance with local regulations.

ATTENTION! TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE, DO NOT LEAVE PACKAGING PARTS (PLASTIC BAGS, CARDBOARD BOXES, EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE ELEMENTS ETC.) FREELY ACCESSIBLE. DANGER OF SUFFOCATION!

OPERATION

Method of use

  • Take off the plastic blade cover.
  • Slide the on/off switch up to the 1 (on) position.
  • Place the garment on a flat surface, smooth the creases and slide the shaver against the grain of the fibres.
  • To finish, slide the on/off switch down to the 0 (off) position.

Tips

  • Do not shave the pills etc. when garments are being worn, because doing so poses an injury risk.
  • Pay particular attention when shaving the following parts of garments:
    • protruding parts
    • seams
    • stitches
    • items glued to cloth
    • delicate parts
  • Before use, try the appliance on an area of the garment that is barely visible.
  • Slide the appliance along the pattern on the garment.
  • For stubborn pills, slide the appliance along the pattern vertically and horizontally.
  • If the garment is thin, put together two layers of the garment and shave e.g. on an ironing board.

WARNING! DO NOT PRESS THE DEVICE FIRMLY INTO YOUR CLOTHES! POSSIBLE TO TEAR.

Battery change and inserting

  1. Pull off the battery cover.
  2. Take out the batteries (if present).
  3. Insert new batteries (2 x AA 1.5V ).
  4. Slide back and close the battery cover.

ATTENTION!

  • The batteries are included.

  • Observe the polarity (+/-) when inserting new batteries.

  • Use batteries of the same type recommended for use with this appliance.

  • Do not put spent batteries in a rubbish bin, but in special containers for used batteries.

  • Do not insert used batteries together with new ones.

  • Never expose batteries to direct heat sources, such as excessive sun exposure, heaters, fire.

  • Never throw batteries into fire – they may explode.

  • When the appliance is not in use, always remove the batteries. It will prevent damage to the appliance in case electrolytes leak from the batteries.

  • Remove spent batteries from the appliance immediately.

  • Spent batteries may leak, which may damage the appliance.

  • If you touch acid from a battery, rinse your hands in running water. If the acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. Battery acid can cause irritation or burns.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When the container is 80% full, empty and clean the container and the internal blades.

WARNING! BEFORE CLEANING, SWITCH THE DEVICE OFF AND REMOVE THE BATTERIES FROM THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT.

Cleaning the container

  1. Remove the crease container by sliding it downwards as marked on the container.
  2. Empty and clean the container using the included brush; if necessary, wipe with a damp cloth. Make sure, that after cleaning the container is completely dry.
  3. Slide the container back and close it.

Cleaning the blades

  1. Take the plastic cover off the blades.

  2. Unscrew the metal blade cover.

  3. Remove the blades.
    CAUTION! THE SHAVER BLADES ARE VERY SHARP.

  4. Clean out the dust and pills that have accumulated inside the shaver using the brush included in the set.

  5. Put the blades back on the shaft.

  6. Screw in the metal blade cover.

CAUTION! CHECK THE APPLIANCE IF IT MAKES LOUD NOISES! TIGHTENING THE METAL BLADE COVER TOO MUCH CAN CAUSE FRICTION. NEVER IMMERSE THE DEVICE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.

SERVICE

The appliance contains no parts that could be serviced by the user.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance on your own. Always have the appliance repaired by a professional.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

It is recommended that the product be stored in its original packaging.
Always store the product in a dry and well-ventilated room, beyond children’s reach.
Protect the appliance against vibration and shock during transportation.
Always store the appliance with the batteries removed.

DISPOSAL

Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can pose a hazard.
The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Correct disposal of the device:

  1. According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
  2. Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling centre.
  3. Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
  4. Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
  5. Information on electric and electronic devices collection centres is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.
  6. Worn out and dead batteries must be discarded in specially marked containers, delivered to special waste collection points or to electronic equipment vendors.

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY

This device has been designed, manufactured and marketed in accordance with the requirements of the New Approach Directives. Therefore, the product has been marked with the CE mark and a declaration of conformity has been issued for it, which is made available to market regulators.

WARRANTY

Guarantee

  1. This product is covered by the warranty. The warranty period is in accordance with the statutory law of the country in which the point of sale is located. The warranty period is not less than 36 months from the date on which the item was delivered to the buyer.

  2. The product will, at the Guarantor’s discretion, be subject to:
    a) free repair by the Guarantor, with the proviso that the disassembled, damaged, or defective parts of the product become the property of the Guarantor in order to ensure the safety of the Customer,
    b) replacement of the product with a new one at the place of purchase of the product, therefore the damaged or defective product becomes the property of the Guarantor,
    c) return in exchange for a refund of the price for the purchased product, therefore the damaged or defective product becomes the property of the Guarantor.

  3. A defective product is a product that does not fulfill the functions specified in the instruction manual, and the reason for this condition is an internal property of the device.

  4. The person entitled to the warranty is obliged to deliver the device to the Customer Service Center in each store for the purpose of submitting a complaint. When exercising the rights under the warranty, a purchase receipt or an invoice should be presented and a detailed description of the product defect should be provided.

  5. The warranty does not cover products with mechanical damage which is not the fault of the producer or distributor, due to improper use or resulting from force majeure.

  6. The warranty does not apply to products in which the security seal has been removed, unless an authorized service employee has done so.

  7. The repair center will use its best endeavors to repair within 21 days. This period may be extended up to 1 month in the event of a need to purchase spare parts that are not currently available to the repair point.

  8. It is recommended to advertise complete equipment in order to improve service activities.

  9. This warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend the buyer’s rights resulting from the statutory rights.

  10. The territorial coverage of the warranty covers the territory of the country in which the product was sold.
