Product Information

The product is a convertible lamp for pendant rods or chains, with item numbers 3924-613. The product comes with mounting hardware, a mounting plate, a ground screw, and mounting screws. It also includes fixture wires (black or smooth, white or ribbed, and bare copper for ground), house wires (black for hot, white for neutral, and green for ground), and a chain (HCHYC4072-613) or pendant rod (W30-1-6131(F1), W30-1-6132(F2), W30-H-613*1(F3)). The product also comes with a candle cover (CCV21100P-613).

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installation, make sure to shut off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box.
  2. For pendant rod installation (Fig. 1), attach the mounting plate and ground screw to the junction box using the provided mounting screws.
  3. Then, attach the pendant rod to the mounting plate using the provided hardware (F1, F2, F3).
  4. Finally, attach the candle cover and set up the fixture wires according to Fig. 2.
  5. For chain pendant installation (Fig. 4), remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware, and unpack the new fixture.
  6. Attach the mounting plate and ground screw to the junction box using the provided mounting screws.
  7. Attach the chain to the mounting plate using the provided hardware.
  8. Finally, attach the candle cover and set up the fixture wires according to Fig. 2.
  9. After installation is complete, turn the power back on at the fuse box or circuit breaker box and test the fixture.
  10. Notice: It is important to use proper chain pliers (not included) to open and close the chain included with this fixture. Do not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the chain links.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! SHUT THE POWER OFF AT THE FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER .

PREPARATION (Fig. 1)

  1. Shut off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box and remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware.

  2. Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clean area. Take care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation.
    ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE WITH CHAIN LOOP (Fig.1 &Fig. 3)

  3. Secure rod (J) onto all thread (I) on the fixture body.

  4. Determine the desired hanging height and thread rods (F1, F2, and F3) to all threads on rod (J). Then screw loop (H1) to rod (F1). Carefully pass the wires through each rod as you assemble.

  5. Attach quick link (G) to loop (H1) and loop (H2) on canopy (D). Carefully feed the wire through the loop (H1), quick link (G), and loop (H2).

  6. Attach mounting plate (A) to junction box (not included) with mounting screws (B) (Size: #8-32N*L0.5”). The side of the mounting plate (A) marked “GND” and two convex points must face out.
    CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 2)

  7. Connect the electrical wires as shown in fig 2, making sure that all wire connectors are secured. If your junction box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the mounting plate (A) using the green screw provided.

  8. Tuck wire connectors neatly into the junction box and raise the canopy (D) to the ceiling.
    COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (Fig. 1)

  9. Place canopy (D) over the mounting plate (A) and secure with screws (E).

  10. Place candle covers (L) over sockets (M).

  11. Install (4) four candelabra base bulbs (K) up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent (not included) in accordance with the fixture specification—DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING! (NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE!)
    Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.

PREPARATION (Fig. 4)

  2. Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clean area. Take care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation..
    ASSEMBLING AND HANGING THE FIXTURE (Fig.4)

  3. Secure rod (J) onto all thread (I) on the fixture body. Carefully pass wires through rod (J) as you assemble.

  4. Secure loop (H1) to all threads on rod (J).

  5. Connect chain (N) to loop (H1) by using the quick link (G).

  6. By measuring, determine the correct number of links needed for the desired hanging height. Using the chain pliers, disconnect and discard the excess chain (N).

  7. Carefully place fixture wires through the chain (N).

  8. Open the other end of the chain (N) and attach it to loop (H2). Then close the chain (N).

  9. Carefully feed fixture wires through the loop (H2) and canopy (D) and pull tight.

  10. Attach mounting plate (A) to junction box (not included) with mounting screws (B) (Size: #8-32N*L0.5”). The side of the mounting plate (A) marked “GND” and two convex points must face out.

  13. Align canopy (D) over the mounting plate (A) and secure with screws (E).

  14. Place candle covers (L) over sockets (M).

Notice: It is important to use proper chain pliers (not included) To OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this fixture. Do not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the chain links. It is important to use proper chain pliers like the ones shown in the diagram.
