Product Information

The PNI SafeHouse HS002 is a wireless door and window sensor designed to detect when a door or window is opened or closed. It can be installed using either double-sided adhesive stickers or screws and has a black tamper button on the back to ensure it is securely installed. The sensor and magnetic part should be installed separately, with the body installed on the fixed frame of the door or window and the magnetic part on the mobile part of the door or window. The distance between the magnet and transmitter should not be more than 2 cm after installation.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation

When installing the sensor, ensure that the body and magnetic part are installed separately. The body should be installed on the fixed frame of the door or window, and the magnetic part should be installed on the mobile part of the door or window. After installation, make sure that the distance between the magnet and transmitter is not more than 2 cm.

Usage

To pair the sensor, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the sensor and magnetic parts are installed correctly.
2. Make sure that the distance between the magnet and transmitter is less than 2 cm.
3. Activate the sensor by opening and closing the door or window.
4. The sensor will automatically pair with the receiver.
5. Test the sensor by opening and closing the door or window again. The receiver should alert you when the door or window is opened or closed.

Note: This product is not suitable for use with roller shutters.
If needed, purchase a special sensor for roller shutters.

INSTALLATION

This door sensor is designed to be installed on doors and windows. There are 2 ways for installation. One is to install with double-sided adhesive sticker, the other is with screws. Either way be sure that black tamper button on the back of the sensor is pushed inside on the final position.

Pay attention to the following instructions when installing the sensor:

1. Part A, the transmitter (the sensor) and Part B, the magnetic part should be installed separately, meaning, the body should be installed on the fixed frame of the door or window and the magnetic part should install on the mobile part of the door or window.
2. After installation, the distance between magnet and transmitter should not be more than 2 cm.

PRODUCT USAGE

1. How to pair
   With the alarm system in the pairing state, activate the sensor by moving away the sensor and the magnetic part to execute and conclude the pairing procedure.

2. After installation, the LED on the sensor flashes when opening or closing the door or window, which means the installation and the pairing were successful.

3. Door open: When opening the door, the sensor will trigger “Door open” and will send a signal to the alarm system. The red led flashes for 1.5s

4. Door close: When closing the door, the sensor will trigger “ Door close” and will send a signal to the alarm system. The red led flashes for 1.5s

5. Low battery: When the battery is low, the sensor will send a low battery signal to the alarm system. The red led flashes for 1.5s. Under low battery state, if the sensor is triggered, after it sends an alarm signal to the alarm system, the red LED flashes slowly twice, 5s later, will send low battery signal to the alarm panel. Notes: please check whether the signal between the door sensor and the alarm host is OK or not before installing the device. If you install the sensor on a metal door, insulate the sensor to avoid signal shielding. This product is not suitable for roller shutters, please buy a special sensor if needed.
