The smart relay connection to the WiFi network and addition to the Tuya Smart mobile application

  1. Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz wireless network. The PNI RG120 smart relay only supports a 2.4 GHz wireless connection. If you have 2 networks available, one 2.4 GHz and one 5 GHz, make sure you have chosen the 2.4 GHz WiFi network for connection.
  2. Download the Tuya Smart app from Google Play or the App Store or scan the QR codes below:PNi-RG120-WiFi-Smart-Relay-FIG2
  3. During the pairing procedure, make sure that the phone and the relay are within range of the WiFi network (you must have at least 50% signal). Make sure that your router does not have the MAC filtering function activated.PNi-RG120-WiFi-Smart-Relay-FIG3
  4. Start the application, log in or create an account if you are using the application for the first time.
  5. Power the relay with the power supply and the USB cable in the package. The LED will flash quickly red/blue. Note: If, on the other hand, the LED flashes rarely, press and hold the button on the relay until the LED flashes red/blue often.
  6. Click the + icon in the upper right corner of the application.
  7. From the list of categories on the left, select Electrical, then the Garage Door Opener (Wi-Fi) option from the list of devices on the right side of the screen.
  8. Check again that the LED on the relay flashes frequently.
  9. Enter the wireless network password (activate the GPS location on the phone if necessary) and continue.
  10. The pairing procedure can take several moments. Wait until it completes successfully. The application will ask you to rename the relay.

If adding the relay fails, repeat the above steps, making sure you have entered the correct wireless network password and that the LED on the relay flashes frequently.
The application allows you to open and close the garage door, to make alarm notification settings in case of open/closed doors and to set a certain time when the door will open/close automatically.

  • A smart relay can open a single garage door.
  • In the application, however, you can add as many relays as you want for as many doors or gates as you have.
