SHOCK-ABSORBER ROLLERS
If the product collides with a solid object at normal moving speed (3.4 km/h)
and at an angle of no more than 45°, the shock-absorber roller rolls against
the solid object to change the direction of the product. This protects the
product from damage as a result of a collision. Do not exceed the normal speed
when using wheel drive and avoid collision at an angle of more than 45°.
Otherwise the shock-absorber rollers will not work and the intake lid can be
damaged.
NOTE:
The shock-absorber rollers are intended to protect the product from accidental
collisions. Do not intentionally run into solid objects. Handle the product
with care, move slowly near solid objects and change direction to avoid
collision with solid objects.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Switch off the engine and remove the spark plug lead from the spark plug
before maintenance.
CLEANING
Clean and store the product in accordance with these instructions for best
functionality and life span. Follow the instructions below to prevent
corrosion and make it easier to start the engine the next time.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Check that the fuel cock is closed before cleaning the casing on the product. Release the spark plug lead from the spark plug. Put the product on its side, with the air filter up. This reduces the risk of leaking fuel and flooding the carburettor, which can make it difficult to start.
- Clean the engine by hand. Make sure that no water gets into the air filter.
- Do not spray the engine with water, this will increase the risk of water getting into the air filter. If air gets into the air filter it can reach the carburettor and the engine, and cause damage.
- Do not expose the engine to water when it is hot, this can damage the engine. Allow a hot engine to cool for at least 30 minutes before cleaning.
- Wipe all accessible parts on the product after cleaning.
- Start the product outdoors and allow it to run until it reaches normal operating temperature, to evaporate any residual water in the engine.
- Switch off the engine and allow it to cool.
- When the product is clean and dry, apply low viscosity oil on any damaged paintwork and other surfaces sensitive to corrosion. Lubricate the control wire with silicone spray.
Clean the bag
Remove the bag from product and wash it with a hose or high-pressure jet.
Allow the bag to dry completely before putting it away.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate the ball bearings, gearwheel and axle for each wheel with oil at
regular intervals.
NOTE:
Stop the product and lubricate it if a gearwheel or bearing does not work
properly when moving.
CHECKING AND CHANGING THE OIL
- Always check before use that oil level is between the top and bottom markings on the dipstick. Change the oil after 25 working hours and thereafter at regular intervals in accordance with the instructions. Tilt the product before filling with oil so that the old oil runs out through the oil filler. Do not tilt the product the other way. This will cause oil to get in the carburettor, which will damage it.
- Change the oil when the engine is warm, but not hot. Do not fill oil over the max marking on the dipstick. Overfilling will cause the engine to smoke and lose power, and can result in the accumulation of soot in the cylinder and spark plug. The engine can also overheat. Too little oil can cause the engine and gearbox to vibrate and wear down the piston ring, and can cause the engine to seize.
AIR FILTER MAINTENANCE
Check the air filter before and after use. It can be difficult to start the
engine if the filter is blocked, and it will emit smoke and lose power. Clean
the air filter more often in dusty conditions. If there is a paper filter
element, remove it and remove the dust on it. If there is a foam rubber filter
element, clean it with petrol, allow to dry and apply a little lubricating oil
on it. The oil helps the filter element to trap dust. Do not wash the part of
the filter inside the foam rubber with water. The inner part is made of paper
and water can block the pores, which reduces the capacity of the engine. Blow
clean this part of the filter with compressed air.
MAINTENANCE OF COOLING FINS
The cooling fins reduce noise and cool the engine. Dust and impurities can
accumulate on the cooling fins and reduce the cooling effect. This can lead to
overheating and damage the engine. Carefully clean the cooling fins after use.
REFUELLING
If the fuel runs out allow the engine to cool for at least 10 minutes before
refuelling, otherwise there is a risk of the hot engine igniting the fuel.
Fill up with the amount of fuel specified in the technical data. Overfilling
will block the ventilation hole in the fuel cap, which will prevent the flow
of fuel to the engine.
STORAGE
Preparations for storage
WARNING!
Keep petrol away from naked flames and other sources of heat. Do not smoke.
Risk of explosion and/or fire.
- Empty the fuel tank with an emptying pump.
- Run the engine until the fuel tank is completely empty and the engine stops.
- Remove the spark plug. Pour 20 ml of clean engine oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole. Slowly pull the starter cord to distribute the oil.
- Clean and lubricate the product in accordance with the instructions.
- Apply rust inhibitor on the impeller and exposed metal parts.
- Store the product in a clean, dry and frost-free place out of the reach of unauthorised persons.
WARNING!
Allow the engine to cool completely before putting it away.
