Product Information

The water kettle with Mod. No.: 302689, 302690, 303064, 303065, 303066, 304289, 304288 is an electrical appliance used for heating water. It has a power supply of 220-240 V AC, 50-60Hz and a power consumption of 1850-2200 W. The kettle has a maximum capacity of 1.7 liters and features a spout, handle, cover, level indicator, automatic switch-off, and base with connection cable. The kettle is designed for household and similar applications and can be used in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, farmhouses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, bed and breakfast type environments.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Remove the kettle and base plate from the packing and clean the device with a damp cloth.
2. Connect the base plate to a properly installed grounded socket.
3. Wipe the surface of the water kettle with a slightly moistened cloth.
4. Fill the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level to eliminate possible production residues.
5. Boil the water up and pour it away. Repeat this process if necessary.
6. To fill the kettle with water, open the lid by pulling the cover on the plastic handle to the top.
7. Fill the kettle with cold water. Do not fill it above the maximum mark on the exterior of the kettle.
8. Put the lid back on the kettle before heating the water.
9. Note: Experienced users can fill the kettle through the spout without opening the lid. This is especially useful when the kettle is still hot.
10. Always use the kettle with the lid on to prevent water from escaping and the risk of scalding.
11. When not in use or during cleaning, unplug the kettle from the power supply.
12. Do not immerse the kettle or base in water. Clean with a damp cloth only.
13. Regularly descale and clean the kettle to maintain its performance and longevity.
14. Read and follow all safety instructions provided in the user manual before use.

Important safety instructions

• This device may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and for private use.

• It is not for commercial application.

• This device is only designed for indoor use. Keep it away from heat sources (e.g. electric stove), high temperatures and direct sunlight.

• Do not place the kettle near waters sources like basins.

• Do not tough the kettle with wet hands.

• Do prevent the unit from dropping over, make sure that the support surface is stable.

• Pull out the main plug from the socket when the machine is not in use or during cleaning.

• Do not operate the device with other than specified power supplies. Voltage can be found on the type plate under the bottom heating element and listed in this quick guide under the chapter `2 technical data’.

• Keep packaging items (plastic bags, carton, styro-foam, etc.) out of reach of children, as they represent a potential source of danger.

• Only fill the water tank with fresh cold water and do not cook remaining water a second time.

• Do not move the machine while it is operating.

• Never open the cover during brewing process, this could lead to burns.

• Keep away from emitting water vapor during brewing process. Otherwise it can cause burns.

• After brewing the heating element stays hot for a while. Make sure that nobody touches the in-
  side of the kettle to avoid burns! · The unit may only be operated by using the provided parking device.

• Allow sufficient space between this unit and other devices and walls to ensure proper ventilation. Do not cover the device.

• Do not cook any other liquids than water.

• Never operate this unit without inserted filter, otherwise hot water may spurt out.

• During operation the housing becomes hot. Therefore only touch the unit by its intended handle.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• Do not overfill the kettle in order to avoid water leakage. Children may only use the product under supervision and guidance concerning the use and cleaning of the product.

• Appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and above and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

Getting started

Please remove the kettle and the base plate from the packing and clean the device with a damp cloth. Then you have to connect the base plate to a properly installed grounded socket. Wipe the surface of the water kettle with a slightly moistened cloth. In order to eliminate possible production residues, fill the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level. Boil the water up and pour it away. Repeat these process if necessary.

Usage

At first, open the kettle. To do this, pull the cover on the plastic-handle to the top. Please fill it with cold water. There is a scale on the exterior of the kettle. Please do not fill the case above the maximum mark. Then put the lid on the kettle.

Note:

• Experienced people concerning to the handling of the product can fill the water kettle with the help of the spout. So it is not necessary to open the lid. This saves time and it is especially useful when the water kettle is still hot.
• Please only use the water boiler with the lid. When heated, water can escape without cover. There is a risk of scalding!
• Place the water kettle on the base and then press down the On/Off switch. The water is heated immediately. As soon as the water reaches the boiling point, the water kettle switches off automatically.

Decaling and cleaning

We recommend decalcifying the kettle in regular intervals, depending on the intensity of use. Before cleaning, it is essential to remove the power plug from the socket and wait until the device is completely cooled down. The scale filter is located in front of to the spout. Open the lid and pull out the filter. Then deep clean the filter with warm water and reinsert it into the holder.
When inserting the filter, make sure that the retaining lug snaps into the guide rail. Only use conventional decaling agents based on citric acid. Please follow the manufacturer´s instructions for dosing the respective product you have chosen. The base plate must not be cleaned and should not be processed with sharp or hard objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kettle, only use a damp cloth. Never use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for cleaning. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful or unhealthy. It also could damage the surface.

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components.
Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions.

Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
