First start-up

Take the device out of the package and remove all packaging material. Clean the blender jar and the blade unit. You can clean the blender jar and the blender lid in the dishwasher or in soapy water. The blade unit is not suitable for dishwashers. Do not use any aggressive or strong cleaning agents.

Safety switches

The device can be operated only if the blender jar is securely seated. Make sure the jar is properly seated. Only then can the device be operated.

Brief operation

The device is designed only for brief periods of operation. You can use the blend-er continuously for about 2-3 minutes. After this time, you must allow the motor to cool down for approx. 5 minutes.

Operating elements

Turn the mode dial to the position “0” to turn off the device. Turn the mode dial in the direction “Max” to increase the speed. Turn it in the direction “Min” to decrease the speed. Turn the mode dial to “Program” to use the program functions “ice crush”, “smoothie” and “interval”. Then press a program button to start the corresponding program.

Ice crush

| The mixer starts the “Ice Crush” program. Thereby, the device switches between different speeds and pauses. The program automatically ends after 68 seconds.

Smoothie

| The mixer starts the “Smoothie” program. For this purpose, the device switches between different speeds. The program automatically ends after 60 seconds.

Interval

| The mixer starts the “Interval” program. In this case, the device switches between different speeds and pauses. The program automatically ends after 43 seconds.

You can stop and start the device at any time by pressing the stop/ start button in the mode dial centre.

Commissioning

Fit the blade unit and the seal onto the blender jar. Then connect the power plug of the device into a properly installed power socket. Place the blender jar with the blade unit onto the base unit. Ensure that it snaps into place. Now open the top of the blender jar and put in the required ingredients. The refill cover can be taken from the lid.

Do not use dry ingredients and make sure there is enough liquid in the blender jar. Add liquid if necessary.
Select the required operating mode. The blender will then start to chop the chosen ingredients into smaller pieces. Adhere to the prescribed operating time. Do not exceed the blending time under any circumstances. If you want to use a program for blending, turn the mode dial to the “Program” position and press the required program button. After completing the blending process, remove the blending jar from the base unit and pull out the plug from the socket. Note: The device is designed only for brief periods of operation. Allow the device to cool down for approx. 5 minutes of continuous operation before you start blending again!

Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the power cord from the outlet. Clean the base unit with a slightly damp-ened soft cloth. Caution! Do not use liquids to clean the base unit and the power connections. Do not use any aggressive, strong or abrasive cleaning agents. You can clean the blender jar, the lid and the blade unit in soapy water. The blender jar and the lid can also be cleaned in a dishwasher. To clean the device quickly and immediately after use, fill the blender jar with warm water up to about 60%, add little detergent and let the device run briefly. Then, take the blender jar and shake it. Finally, rinse only the blender jar and the blade unit using clean water until all residue and traces of the detergent are removed. Allow all parts of the device to dry completely.

Important safety guidelines for this device

  •  Never use this device without the lid placed! There is a risk of injury!
  •  Do not use dry ingredients and make sure there is enough liquid in the blender jar. Add liquid if necessary.
  •  Never operate the device when it is dry.
  •  Always check the device for any damage before operating it. Do not operate the device if the cable, the plug or the device show any visible signs of damage.
  •  Do not make any modifications or repairs to the device.
  •   Caution! The blade unit is very sharp!
  •  Plug the device only into a properly installed power socket.
  •  Never leave the blender unattended and choose a location in which the device is out of reach of animals and /or children.
  •  Children should not play with the device.
  •  Children above 8 years of age and persons with restricted physical, sensory and mental abilities may use the device only if they are instructed or supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety.
  •  Keep the blender out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  •  Keep it on an appropriate surface so that it does not tip over.
  •  Do not keep the blender next to heat sources (e.g., electric stove).
  •  Unplug the power plug when the device is not in operation or during cleaning.
  •  Do not move the device when it is being operated.
  •  Ensure that the power cable does not come into contact with any hot surfaces.
  •  If you want to pull out the plug from the socket, pull by holding the plug and not the cable.
  •  Never touch the plug with wet hands.
  •  Protect the device against fire.
  •  Do not immerse the cable, the plug or the entire device in water or any other liquids.
  •  The device should not be used by children. Keep this device and he power plug out of reach of children.
  •  Switch off the device, pull the power plug when you want to replace any accessories or to move the device to another location.
  •  Remove the power plug from the socket when the device is not in operation, and during cleaning and assembly.
  •  If the mains cable is damaged, this must be replaced by the manufacturer or by a qualified personnel in the event of a defect, in order to prevent damage.
  •  Never insert body parts, or objects which are not defined for it, in the blender.
  •  Please do not fill hot liquids in the glass container!

The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.
