Product Information

The product is a C-Purlin Vertical Flange Clip (VF14) and Z-Purlin Angle Flange Clip (AF14) that supports wire or rod from bar joist or Z-purlin. It is designed for easy installation from the floor with an installation tool (VAFT) and requires no scaffolding. The product is made from lightweight high-impact plastic to increase durability and can fit flanges 1/16 to 1/4. The package includes various clips, rod holders and cable tie holders that support different sizes of rods and cables.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Before installing the product, make sure to read the product manual and follow all instructions to ensure proper and safe installation
  2. Determine the appropriate clip or holder that is needed for the specific rod or cable size and select from the various options available in the package.
  3. Install the C-Purlin Vertical Flange Clip (VF14) or Z-Purlin Angle Flange Clip (AF14) onto the bar joist or Z-purlin by using an installation tool (VAFT). The VAFT can easily install the clip from the floor without requiring scaffolding.
  4. Attach the selected clip or holder onto the installed VF14 or AF14 using appropriate industry standard hardware as noted in the product manual.
  5. Adjust the height of the clip or holder using the appropriate method mentioned in the product manual (if required).
  6. Ensure that all governing codes and regulations and those required by the job site are observed and appropriate safety equipment is used during installation.

INSTRUCTION SHEET

  1. Tie the wire to clip.
  2. Install the clip to the installation tool.
  3. Raise the tool and fastener assembly above the flange. Place the fastener against the flange and pull straight down. Engaging fastener to flange.
  4. To disengage the tool, lift up after the fastener has been engaged.

  1. To obtain desired installation height use 1/2″ rigid conduit.
  2. Screw the threaded end of the conduit into the base of the installation tool (VAFT).
  3. Cut to the desired length.
