Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there is a risk of death or injury.
- Do not connect the tool to a pressure system if there is a risk that the pressure will exceed 180 PSI (12.3 bar).
- Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide, combustible gases or any other bottled gas to power the tool. This could lead to explosion and serious personal injury.
- Keep the work area clean. Cluttered areas increase the risk of injury.
- Keep children away from the work area. Do not allow children to operate the tool.
- Wear eye protection. To prevent eye injuries, the user and others in the work area must wear safety glasses with fixed side protection. Safety glasses must meet ANSI Z87.1 standards. Approved safety glasses are marked with the code Z87.
- Wear hearing protection. High noise levels in the work area can cause hearing impairment.
- Inspect the product carefully for damage before use. Do not use the tool if it leaks air, has missing or damaged parts or requires repair.
- Do not use the product if a safety mechanism, trigger or springs are missing, damaged or does not work correctly.
- Do not alter or remove the safety mechanism, trigger or springs.
- Do not use the product if the safety warning label is missing. If the label is missing, speak to an autorized service center.
- Only use recommended parts and nails.
- Do not load nails with the trigger or safety bracket pushed in.
- Empty the magazine when the product is not used. The nail driving mechanism can fire when the air hose is connected.
- Always assume that there are nails in the product.
- Do not point the product towards your body or at another person.
- Make sure that the trigger is not pushed in when the product does not operate. If the safety bracket is accidentally activated the product will fire a nail.
- Do not overreach. Make sure that you have a firm footing and good balance when you operate the product.
- Do not drive nails into materials that are too hard, at too great an angle or close to the edge of the workpiece. Nails can ricochet and cause personal injury.
Operation
Warning! Disconnect the air hose before you remove a jammed nail, leave the work area, move the tool, give it to someone else or adjust it in any way.
Warning! Empty the magazine when the product is not used. The nail driving mechanism can fire when the air hose is connected.
Caution! All line components (hoses, connectors, filters, regulators, etc.) must have a minimum working pressure rating of 150 PSI (10.3 bar) or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
Caution! Do not connect this tool to a system with maximum pressure greater than 180 PSI (12.3 bar).
To prepare the product for use
To load the magazine
Warning! Do not load nails with the trigger or safety bracket pushed in.
-
Connect the air hose to the connector. (Figure 2)
-
Pull the feeder to the backward locked position. (Figure 3)
-
Put a strip of nails into the magazine.
Note! Make sure that the pointed ends are point down. -
Slide the nails forward in the magazine. (Figure 4)
-
Pull the feeder rearward (A) slowly and release the lock mechanism (B). (Figure 5)
-
Push the feeder to the forward (C) position.
To adjust the directional exhaust
- Rotate the directional exhaust (A) to make sure that the exhaust air is directed away from the operator. (Figure 6)
To use the product
Warning! Make sure that the trigger is not pushed in when the product is not used. If the safety bracket is accidentally activated the product will fire a nail.

- Push in the trigger. Push the tool against the surface until the safety bracket is depressed.
To adjust the nail driving depth
The depth is set at the factory to the maximum setting.
-
Disconnect the air hose.
-
Loosen the screw (A). (Figure 7)
-
Move the depth adjuster (B) up to increase the depth and down to decrease the depth.
-
Tighten the screw.
-
Fire a nail and do a check of the depth.
-
Repeat the adjustment until the depth is correct.
Caution! The depth setting determines the air pressure that is necessary. High air pressure will have more wear on the product. Do not use a deeper depth than what is needed.

Warning! The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used. It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start-up time).
¹The declared vibration value, which has been measured by a standardized test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
