NOTICE

This is a “universal” child restraint. Approved in accordance with UN Regulation No. 44, series of amendments 04, for general vehicle use and suitable for mounting on most car seats.
A correct installation is possible if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle’s manual that the vehicle is capable of accepting a “universal” child restraint for this age group. This child restraint has been classified as “universal” under more stringent conditions than those applied to earlier designs, which do not carry this notice

Only suitable if the approved vehicles are fitted with 3-point retractor safety belts, approved to UN Regulation No.16 or other equivalent standards.

The product is compliant with ECE R44/04 and suitable for the II and III ISOFIX age group that is for children between 15 and 36 kg of weight. Only when used correctly can the safety seat protect your child the most effectively. Failure to comply with the provisions in the manual can result in an accident. In order to protect your child, always install and use LO-Lars as described in this manual.

Before using the product, read the user manual carefully and keep it for future reference. The information within will help you to install the seat correctly. Improper installation may lead to a serious threat to the health and life of your child. The manufacturer and dealers assume no liability for any damage caused by improper installation or usage of the safety seat.

Warning

  • The hard parts and plastic parts of the child restraint must be placed and installed in such a way that, under normal conditions of use of the vehicle, they cannot be trapped by the sliding seat or door of the vehicle.
  • All straps that secure the restraint to the vehicle must be taut, the straps that secure the child must be adapted to the child’s body and not twisted.
  • Make sure the lap belts run low so that the pelvis is held firmly.
  • If the device was subjected to heavy loads during an accident, it must be replaced.
  • Do not make any modifications to the seat or install any additional components without the consent of the competent authorities. To ensure maximum safety for your child, the equipment must be secured and used in accordance with the instructions provided in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • The plastic parts of this car seat may heat up in the sun and cause burns on the skin of the child.
  • Protect the seat against the sun. Otherwise, the seat may be too hot for your child’s skin.
  • Never leave your child unattended in the restraint system.
  • Luggage and other objects that can cause injury in the event of a collision should be properly secured.
  • Child restraints without upholstery should not be used. It is not allowed to replace the seat upholstery other than recommended by the manufacturer, because it is an integral part of the device that affects its functioning.
  • Keep the seat user manual when using the device. Keep it in the car where the car seat is installed.
  • Do not use load bearing points of contact other than those described in the instructions and marked on the child restraint.
  • If you have doubts about the position of the adult seat belt buckle relative to the main load-bearing points, contact the child restraint system manufacturer

Usage

  1. Headrest adjustment
    Pull the headrest up or push it down to the most desirable position (fig. 3).

    Correct height of the headrest (fig. 4).

  2. The safety seat usage method for group II (from 15 to 25 kg):
    Place the child in the safety seat in a way so that the back of the child rests on the backrest. Place the lap part of the safety belt under the arm rests, fasten the belt buckle and tension the belt. Pass the shoulder belt under the arm rest. Then, slide it through the guide on the headrest. Make sure the belt is not twisted on the child’s shoulders (fig. 5).

    Make sure all the lap straps are run low enough, in order to support the pelvis. The belt must be passed through the belt guides with red signs. Remove the headrest of the passenger seat. Otherwise, it may cause difficulties for the proper installation of the safety seat. Place the safety seat in the passenger seat making sure it is tightly and correctly secured in place (fig. 6).

  1. Backrest installation / removal
    Backrest installation
    Holding the bottom of the backrest make the “U” shape and connect it to the base. Then, adjust it so that it is in the vertical position (fig. 7).

    Push the backrest back and remove it.

  2. The safety seat usage method for group III (from 22 to 36 kg):
    Place the child in the safety seat in a way so that the back of the child rests on the backrest. Place the lap part of the safety belt under the arm rests, fasten the belt buckle and tension the belt. Pass the shoulder belt under the arm rest. Then, slide it through the guide on the headrest.
    Make sure the belt is not twisted on the child’s shoulders (fig. 5).
    Make sure all the lap straps are run low enough, in order to support the pelvis. The belt must be passed through the belt guides with red signs.

Maintenance

  • To maintain protective properties of the product
  • Do not allow it to come into contact with pastes, oils, bleaching agents or any other chemicals.
  • Any collision at speeds above 10 km / h may cause damage to the safety seat, which is not always visible. In this case, the safety seat must be checked by the manufacturer and replaced if required.
  • To ensure proper operation of all mechanical components regularly check all important parts for damage.
  • If the safety seat is damaged (for example after being dropped) it must be checked by the manufacturer or the retailer.

How to remove the fabric cover

Detach the Velcro straps at the back of the safety seat. Now, you can remove the fabric cover.

Cleaning:

The fabric cover for Lionelo safety seats can be replaced only with original covers or the ones recommended by the manufacturer as it is an integral part of the product, important for the proper functioning of the system.

  • Do not use the safety seat without the fabric cover.
  • The cover can be removed and cleaned with a mild detergent in a washing machine (delicate cycle- up to 30°C).

Clean the plastic parts with a damp cloth (warm water and soap). Do not use chemicals, bleaching agents or any corrosive substances. Always follow the instructions on the label.

The colours of the fabric cover may fade if washed at a temperature above 30°C. Do not tumble dry (fig. 8.)
