EU DECLARATION

BLUEWEAR-004508-Vernehjelmsett-fig-1

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read the instructions carefully before use and save them for future reference. They contain important information about safety, use and waste disposal. The product must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with these instructions. If you pass this product on to someone else, give them these instructions as well.

  • The helmet protects the user from head injuries caused by falling or thrown objects. It also provides protection from knocking into stationary objects.

  • The ear protectors provide protection from harmful noise and are only intended to be used together with BLUEWEAR helmet 004653-57.

  • The mesh visor is designed to protect the user from eye and face injuries caused by knocks and collisions. It is marked with several numbers and symbols to indicate manufacturer, applications, protective capacity and performance for face protection.

  • Incorrect use or modifications to the helmet can result in the risk of accidents. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any injuries resulting from improper use. The product is not intended for commercial use.

  • The first time the helmet is used: check that all the parts are properly attached and correctly adjusted.

  • Make sure that the helmet is always correctly in place to ensure proper protection.

  • The helmet does not provide full protection from injury and does not replace in any way safe working procedures.

  • Never change or modify the design or surface finish of the helmet.

  • The helmet must not come into contact with liquids containing alcohol or solvent. Such substances can damage the plastic.

  • Knocks and blows can cause invisible damage to the helmet. This can reduce the safety function of the helmet, especially in emergency situations. Replace the helmet if it has been subjected to severe stress.

  • Check before use that the helmet, ear protectors and visor are undamaged
(cracks, wear). Only use the product if it is in good condition.

  • Never modify the product in any way – this can put safety at risk.

  • Follow all the directions and instructions for assembly, adjustment and maintenance of the ear protectors.

  • The ear protectors protect the ears and hearing in noisy conditions. They must always be used when there is a lot of noise.

  • The sealing rings can deteriorate in time. Check them for cracking and noise admission after using them.

  • Do not clean the ear protectors with chemicals or other substances that can be harmful to the user.

  • The earmuffs, especially the sealing rings, can deteriorate in time and should always be examined at regular intervals to make sure they are not cracked or admit noise.

  • The product is intended to be used as personal protective equipment and should be worn at all times when exposed to risk.

  • The product is intended to be worn by an adult and does not provide unlimited protection from head, face and ear injuries.

  • Check that all the parts of the helmet are suitable for their intended use.

  • Do not modify the product.

  • The product must only be used to provide protection from the specified risks.

  • The ear protectors also provide a certain degree of protection from sudden noises, such as gunfire, but the specified protective capacity (SNR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and is not a reliable indication of protection from sudden noise. Sudden noise, for example gunfire, can therefore cause hearing impairment even if these ear protectors are used. Sudden noise or impulse noise is considered to occur if the noise level has a peak value with an interval longer than 1 second. Impulse noise can also occur in environments with continuous noise, and different users have different tolerances to impulse noise. There is therefore no generally accepted way of determining whether ear protection provides adequate protection from impulse noise.

  • Ear protection should always be used in noisy conditions to provide protection from hearing impairment.

  • Ear protection should be checked at regular intervals for damage and wear.

WARNING!

  • There are small and large ear protectors. The earmuffs fitted on this helmet comply with EN 352-3 and are of the small medium or large type. Medium sized earmuffs will suit most users. Small or large models are intended for users who cannot use earmuffs of the medium model.
  • Some chemicals can have a negative effect on the product. Additional information can be obtained from the manufacturer.
  • Ear protection, and in particular the seals on the cups, can deteriorate as a result of wear and should therefore be regularly checked for cracks, noise admission and other damage.
  • Hygiene covers on the seals can affect the noise damping capacity.
  • This mesh visor is marked with the designation S and must not be used when there is a risk of being hit by hard and sharp objects.
  • The mesh visor is intended as protection from injuries caused by splinters and objects with moderate impact energy – heavy objects with high impact energy can rupture it. The visor has no filtering effect and does not provide protection from hot objects, splashed molten metal or electric shock.
  • Always fold down the visor when using the helmet.
  • The visor does not provide protection from splashing, hot objects, electricity or infrared/UV radiation.
  • Do not use the visor in environments where there is a risk of being hit by hard, sharp objects.
  • Wooden splinters and resin can damage the visor and reduce visibility.
