Product Usage Instructions
Cleaning and Maintenance
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for the fan:
- Before cleaning, unplug the fan from the power source.
- Clean the fan grill, housing, and base with a soft, damp cloth Do not attempt to remove the fan blade.
- Use caution around the housing area and avoid exposing the motor or other electrical components to water.
Replacing the Fuse
If the replaceable fuse (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) blows, follow these steps to replace it:
- Unplug the fan from the power source.
- Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or outlet device. Do not pull on the cord.
- Open the fuse cover located on the top of the plug by sliding it down towards the prongs using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver.
- Ensure that the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove the fuse.
- Carefully remove the fuse by prying it out of the compartment using a small screwdriver and the metal ends of the fuse.
- Place the plug on a solid, flat surface.
- Insert a new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the fuse compartment and use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into place.
- Slide the fuse cover closed completely. If it’s difficult to close, make sure the fuse is secured in place by pressing down on the metal ends.
- Do not replace the attachment plug as it contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.
Fan Storage:
When storing the fan in the off-season, follow these guidelines:
- Keep the fan in a safe and dry location.
- Protect the fan from dust.

- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runner, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high traffic areas.
- Do not use outdoors.
- To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.
- Always use on a dry, level surface.
- This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial applications.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use in window.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or contact customer service.
- WARNING: Chemical Burn Hazard. Keep batteries away from children. This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours. Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
- THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

This mini tower fan comes fully assembled and is ready for use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 1)
- Set the fan base on a dry, level surface
- Make sure the Speed Control Knob (A) is in the OFF (O) position
- Plug the cord into a standard 120 volt AC outlet
- To turn the fan ON, rotate the speed control knob to the desired speed setting on the right side of the dial (SEE FIGURE 2)
- To turn the fan ON with oscillation, rotate the speed control knob to the desired speed setting on the left side of the dial (SEE FIGURE 2)
BEFORE USE
REMOVE PROTECTIVE STICKER: (SEE FIGURE 3)
- Loosen the screw of the battery cover, and then turn the battery cover counterclockwise and open it.
- Press the battery latch and the lithium battery will pop up automatically.
- After taking out the lithium coin cell battery CR2032, remove protective sticker and re-install battery again
- Close the battery cover and rotate clockwise, tighten screw to lock the battery cover.
- Follow above steps 1-4 when replacing battery, replace with CR2032 lithium battery.
NOTES:
- Remove the used battery promptly.
- Do not discard used batteries into household trash containers. Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your area.
CLOCK CONTROL
(SEE FIGURE 4)
- Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds until AM/PM is blinking;
- Adjust flashing AM/PM with the “Δ” button;
- Press SET button again to adjust Hour
- Press SET button a third time to adjust Minutes
- Press SET button 4 times to lock time
Note: Once SET or “Δ” keys are pressed, you have 5 seconds to complete operation before the clock reverts to previous status.

Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for this fan. Please remember:
REPLACEABLE FUSE
- If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please visit our website at www.getholmesfans.com for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
User Servicing Instructions
- Unplug the fan. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
- Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover down towards the prongs.
- NOTE: Ensure that fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.
- Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry the fuse out of the compartment by the metal ends of the fuse. (see Figure 5)
- Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment and use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment.
- CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
- Slide fuse cover closed completely. If fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure fuse is secured in place completely by pressing down on metal ends of the fuse.
- Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed.
- Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
FAN CLEANING
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Do not allow water to drip on or enter into fan housing.
- Be sure to use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
- Do not use gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.
- Clean the fan grill, housing and base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not attempt to remove the fan blade. Please use caution around the housing area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.
FAN STORAGE
- When storing this fan in the off season, it is important to keep it in a safe dry location. It is important to protect the fan from dust.
