SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Failure to follow these instructions will seriously reduce the protection provided by the earmuffs.
- Always use ear protection in noisy environments to avoid hearing impairment.
- Check at regular intervals that the product is undamaged and working properly. Worn or damaged earmuffs can result in inferior protection. If the cups are cracked, if the seals are worn or defective, or if they have been exposed to chemicals, they should be discarded and replaced. The earmuffs, especially the sealing rings, can deteriorate over time and should always be examined before use to make sure they are not cracked or admit noise.
- Attaching hygienic protection on the pads can affect the acoustic properties of the cups.
- Clean and disinfect the headband, cups and sealing rings regularly with a cloth moistened with hot water and mild detergent, especially after prolonged use or if moisture has collected in the cups. Only use detergent that does not irritate the skin. Allow to completely dry before using. Remove the batteries if the product is not going to be used for some time.
- Do not subject the product to knocks and blows, this can reduce the protective capacity and/or damage the radio.
- Adjust to a safe volume before use. Do not listen to loud volume for long – risk of hearing impairment. The higher the volume, the less time you can listen safely.
- Listen with a safe volume for a reasonable time.
- Avoid increasing the volume gradually, the ears can adjust.
- Keep the volume low enough so that you can hear sounds from the immediate surroundings. Switch off the sound in risky situations.
- Loud volume from headphones can cause permanently impaired hearing.
- It is recommended to avoid using headphones that cover both ears when driving a vehicle. It may also be illegal in some areas.
- Avoid music or phone calls that can be distracting in traffic, or in potentially dangerous situations.
- Adjust the earmuffs in accordance with the instructions so that they fit properly on the head.
- Always wear earmuffs when you are exposed to harmful noise. Do not expose the earmuffs to chemicals.
- The audibility of warning signals is reduced when wearing earmuffs. Do not use paint, solvent or glue on the product, or put stickers etc. on it, unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- The quality of the radio receiver is influenced by the surroundings. The radio reception can deteriorate when in motion. Interference can be caused by televisions, fluorescent lighting or other electrical appliances.
- Replace all the AAA batteries, or charge the rechargeable battery when the volume deteriorates.
- Improper use and failure to follow the instructions can result in personal injury and/or material damage.
- The earmuffs limit the sound pressure level for entertainment sound to 79.4 dB(A).
- This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer.
- Earmuffs that comply with EN 352-1 are of the medium-sized type, small type or large type. These ear defenders are of medium size and will suit most users.
- Always use a suitable size of ear defenders that fit comfortably and firmly, and seal tightly round the ears. If these ear defenders do not fit, choose another size.

- Do not use abrasive detergents or agents that contain alcohol, benzene or ammoniac.
- Clean when necessary with a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
- Protect the built-in battery from heat, direct sunlight, naked flames and other sources of heat.
- The incorrect insertion of batteries can result in a risk of explosion. Only use batteries of the recommended type.

ATTENUATION VALUES
USE
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
- The earmuffs require two 1.5 V AAA batteries. Open the battery cover by pulling it.
- Insert the batteries with the correct polarity in accordance with the markings inside the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery cover.
ADJUSTING THE EARMUFFS
- Make sure that there is no hair under the sealing rings. Remove earrings that prevent the sealing rings from sealing tightly.
- Put the headband over your head and adjust the cups so that they cover the ears.
- Move the cups up or down in the headband to adjust them, so that they fit firmly and comfortably and seal round the ears.
- Check the fit by talking loudly. Your voice should sound muffled. Ambient noise should sound weaker than without the ear defenders.
- Check that the cups’ sealing rings sit firmly against your head and around your ears.
NOTE: Pull hair away from your ears and use glasses with thin frames to minimise the admission of noise. Never attempt to change the shape of the headband.
FM RADIO
- Press the switch (8) and select required station with the search buttons (10)/ down (7). FM: 87.5 to 108 MHz in steps of 0.1 MHz.
- Press the button for search up (10)/down (7) for three seconds for fast search.
REPLACING PARTS
- The seals and cup inserts can be replaced on the earmuffs. To replace the seals, pull out and fit new seals on the cups.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Clean the outside of the product regularly with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
- Allow the product to dry before use.
NOTE
- Do not use a brush or other utensils, this can damage the seals or cup inserts.
- Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid.
- Only use detergent that is safe for the user.
DISINFECTING
Depending on the operating conditions, the earmuffs should be disinfected approximately every three months. Those parts of the earmuffs that come into contact with the body should be disinfected with an alcohol solution.
STORAGE
Store the product in the original pack to protect it from dust and dirt.
