Sengled E1G G8E Smart Zigbee Multicolor Light Strip
INTRODUCTION
Utilize your lighting more. With a single tap in the app or a short voice command, you may transform your space. Sengled Smart LEDs are a perfect fit for your already smart house. Smart lighting can be easily added to any room and is compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant. With the Sengled Home app for iOS and Android, you can create scenes, establish routines, dim or brighten, and more. Your lights can create the perfect ambiance for anything from romantic movie evenings to festive celebrations with a choice of over 16 million hues and tunable whites.
Sengled Smart LED Multicolor Light Strip enables you to wrap your house in color, whether it’s under the cabinets, around your tv, or anywhere else you would like to have some color without a traditional socket. Additionally, the light strip can be extended or shortened to fit your desired length.
NOTE: A hub is required to control this Light Strip.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The following instructions are applicable for adding your Smart Light Strip to a Sengled hub. If you have a third-party hub, such as SmartThings or Amazon Echo Plus, or would like to find our latest list of supported third-party hubs, please refer to support.sengled.com
NOTE: Sengled recommends ensuring you can add your light strip to your Sengled Hub before attaching it to your wall, bed, etc.

Download the latest version of the Sengled Home App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Register and sign-in to your Sengled account in the app. 3 Open the Sengled Home app.

Go to Devices, select the + sign, and choose Bulbs.
Follow the in-app instructions to finish the installation. -
Once you have successfully connected the Light Strip to your hub, you may attach it to wherever you would like in your home. Ensure the surface is clean before attaching your light strip.
Since the Light Strip is made of a flexible material, you can attach it to virtually anything, including things that have corners sharper than 90 degrees.

RESET INSTRUCTIONS
To reset your Smart Light Strip, locate the reset button and hold for 3 to 10 seconds. When the Light Strip is successfully reset, it will flash five times. If it does not flash, please try again. Once successfully reset, please pair the Light Strip again in your Sengled Home app.

TURNING THE LIGHT STRIP ON AND OFF
The light strip can be controlled through a variety of means:- Manually via the light strip controller itself
- Through Sengled Home App
- Through partner programs like Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, etc.

DIMMING The light strip can be dimmed through the Sengled Home app, through partner programs such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, etc. or the Sengled Smart Switch.

SCHEDULING Schedules can be created with the Sengled Home app.

COLOR CYCLING The light strip can be color cycled if you hold down the button on the controller. To select a color, simply release the button.

TUNING WHITES Adjust whites via the white palette in the Sengled Home app, or with voice control and third parties.

CHANGING COLORS Change between 16 million colors using the color palette in the Sengled Home app, or with voice control and third parties. Check the in-app how-to pages through “Settings” for the following two operations.

- Set up Amazon Alexa by adding Sengled Home Skill.
- Set up Google Assistant by adding Sengled Home Skill.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can the length of the Smart Light Strip be altered?
The length of the light strip can be both lengthened and shortened. Once shortened, it is unable to be lengthened again. To shorten the Light Strip, please cut on the indicated points below (about every 25 cm, or 9.8 in). To extend, please add the 1M extensions that are available.
**Can different types of Sengled Smart devices be used simultaneously?**
Yes, a single Sengled Hub can support up to 64 devices from the Sengled Smart LED family.
Do these have any functionality without a hub?
Yes, they do have a limited functionality without a hub. There is a single button on the controller which you can press to turn the lights on and off, or press and hold to cycle through various color options. I would highly recommend using them with a hub however, to enable access to the full spectrum of features, so to speak.
For the multicolor lightstrip, going around corners; are these cut and rejoined or can they just be carefully curved without making an extreme bend?
Yes. Sengled Light strip can be curved , cut and rejoined.
Can anyone recommend a connector to put between the 2m LED strip and the 1m extension so they are not right next to each other?

Do these function without Wi-Fi?
Yes, they connect to a hub using ZigBee.
What is the length of this LED light strip?
The length is 2 meters, or approximately 6’6″.
How do strip lights connect to hub?
Please add devices in Sengled Home APP, choose “strip” and then scan QR Code on the side of the power switch, follow the instructions on the phone.
Can a cut the strip, or solder more to increase length?
My understanding (and current experience) is that once you cut a strip, you cannot connect it to another Sengled strip using 3rd party connectors. I cut a strip for under cabinet install and wanted to run an extension wire to another cabinet, but I’m finding out you can’t do that.
What power source is required for this light strip?
Regular 120-volt outlet.
Does this work with Homekit if I have the Homekit hub to connect it to?
This is a ZigBee light strip and is dependent on the hub to provide homekit capabilities. If your hub is homekit compatible, I don’t see any reason it shouldn’t work.
Is this one long 16.4ft strip or is it in sections?
It is split into 3 sections with a connection point at the front and end of each.
This kit includes a z01-hub smart hub. why is amazon telling me I need to purchase a z02-hub smart hub for this set to work?
Probably just a botched algorithm. There is no need to buy additional hub.
Are these 10mm or 12mm width strips?
The light strip is 12mm in width.
What power source is required for this light strip?
The power strip will need to be plugged into the wall; there is a cable attached to the controller.
