Sengled W1G N84 TV LED Backlights
INTRODUCTION
The segmented connection used by the Sengled TV LED backlight has two 40″ light strips, two 20″ light strips, and four 10″ light strips. To produce precise corners, three connecting wires are designed to flex and fold. Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant for effortless voice control of TV light strip functions including powering on/off, adjusting brightness, or changing colors. Through the Sengled Home app, you can also alter scenes, scheduling, group settings, and other features. The high-sensitivity microphone that is already built into the device syncs with your music and has multiple modes for movies, games, music, and other things to enhance your life.
Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips offer an easy solution to enhance your TV/Movie/Game time to a new level and bring you the smart home experience. These segmented light strips can be easily mounted on the back of the TVs and large monitors. They enable you to control your lights in multiple ways– On/Off, dimming, color change, color temperature change, schedule, scene setting, dynamic audio sync, movie mode, game mode, music mode and more through Sengled Home app, or simply though voice control using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Before installing the Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips, please read and follow all precautions, including:
- Turn off power before installation or removal. Discontinue use if damaged.
- Risk of electric shock. Do not attempt to disassemble light strip.
- Not suitable for completely enclosed fixtures.
- Suitable for use in operating environment between 14°F and 104°F (-10°C and 40°C).
- Not for use in emergency lighting.
- Indoor use only.

NOTE: No smart home hub is required to control Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE BOX?
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Measure the mounting surface at the back your TV or monitor and choose the best length combination. Easily configure pieces to fit 45” to 72” TV screens.

Please stick the LED light strip on suitable TV surface (flat is preferred). DON’T use on knitted or wool fabrics, dusty wall, rough plastic surface or frosted glass etc. Use the alcohol pad to clean the surface first and wait for surface gets dry.
NOTICE: Alcohol Pad should only be used for cleaning the dust of TV surface, please don’t use it wipe the silicone of light strip. -
Considering the self-weight of strip controller and the orientation of the microphone, fix the Strip Controller in the right way.

Peel off tape and stick the strip to the TV back side surface. Please press and hold strip to surface to make sure proper adhesion.

At the corner of the TV back side, please use an extension cable to connect each strip segment. Please do not bend the light strip.
Please make sure the Arrow (on Light Strip) is always align with the Notch (on Extension Cable).

If somewhere adhesive is not strong enough, use the clips to reinforce the strip. We recommend to use two clips for each horizontally mounted light strip.

Peel off tape and stick the Controller to the TV back side, where easy to press and near to TV’s speaker.

Connect the controller to the power adapter, and plug it in.
FINISHED INSTALLATION
The following instructions are applicable to adding your Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips through the Sengled Home app.
If you would like to use third party smart home services, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or SmartThings, or would like to find our latest list of supported third-party integrations, please refer to support.sengled.com
Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi router that you would like to setup the smart Wi-Fi LED using 2.4GHz connection.
- Download the latest version of the Sengled Home App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Register and sign in to your Sengled account in the app.
- Open the Sengled Home app. Go to Devices, select the + sign, and choose Smart Wi-Fi LEDs. Follow in-app instructions to finish setup.
- Ensure your Sengled Home app can discover the light strip. If the app unsuccessfully discovers the light strip, please refer to the next section “Reset Instructions” for how to reset your light strip before attempting to add it back in.

RESET INSTRUCTIONS
To reset your Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strip, locate the reset button, push and hold for at least 5 seconds. When the Light Strip is successfully reset, it will flash three times. If it does not flash, please try again. Once successfully reset, please pair the Light Strip again in your Sengled Home app.
OPERATION
The following section outlines some of the popular operational modes of the Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips.
- ON / OFF The light strip can be controlled through a variety of means:
- Use the control button on the controller
- Through Sengled Home app (including Widget)
- Through partner programs like Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings (cloud-to-cloud), etc.
- DIMMING The light strip can be dimmed through the following:
- Through Sengled Home app (including Widget)
- Through partner programs like Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings (cloud-to-cloud), etc.
- SCHEDULING
- Schedules can be created with Sengled Home app.
- Check the in-app how-to pages through “Settings” for the following operations.
- VOICE CONTROL
- Set up Amazon Alexa by adding Sengled Home Skill.
- Set up Google Assistant by adding Sengled Home Service.
- TUNING WHITES Adjust whites via the white palette in the Sengled Home app, or with voice control.
- CHANGING COLORS Change between 16 million colors using the color palette in the Sengled Home app, or with voice control. By push and hold the button on the controller, the light strip will cycle through different colors.
- AUDIO SYNC Built-in high sensitivity Microphone for dynamic audio sync, support multi scenes to select, such as Movies, Games, Music and Custom. Use Sengled Home app to play with these modes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strip appears offline or unresponsive, what should I do?****
· Please check the Power adapter make sure the power is On. Push the
control button to make sure the light strip is responding.
· Power cycle the Wi-Fi LED TV Light Strips, wait 1 minute and check
the status.
· Please make sure your home Wi-Fi network and internet connection are
working properly.
· After setup for TV, there is almost no flexibility for people to
move the controller around.
· If all else fails, try to restart your Wi-Fi router.
Can different types of Sengled smart bulbs be used simultaneously?****
Sengled Smart Wi-Fi TV Light Strips can be used in conjunction with their Wi- Fi bulbs and Zigbee counterparts, the Sengled Smart LED bulbs line, when creating scenes and schedules within your home. Please refer to sengled.com for more information.
Could not connect to the Wi-Fi router or third-party services?****
The firewall or port on your Wi-Fi router may be blocked and could prevent the
Sengled Wi-Fi TV Light Strips from connecting to the Sengled cloud. A Sengled
Home account is required to access third-party services that utilize the
Sengled cloud.
Please open Port 1883 and 8883 on your Wi-Fi router to ensure connectivity. If
your router is preventing access, you will need to enable access to these
ports.
If you need help with changing your firewall settings:
For routers provided by your internet service provider, please contact your
internet service provider.
For a router you own, please contact the manufacturer of the router.
Can I cut the TV light strip if it’s too long?****
We recommend users to use different length combinations to fit different TV sizes. But if you really need to cut the strip for better fitting, please cut along the Cut Line.
Can multiple w1g-n84f strips be connected for bigger rooms?****
Technically, but not realistically. In my room, the lights start to fade noticeably as they stretch across the room, so much so that my desk has significantly less light than another part of my room.
Does these have to be plugged in or charged?****
They have to be plugged in, they don’t have batteries.
Are the lights dimmable?****
Yes, they are just like other smart dimming lights.
Will this work with 82” TV? (In terms of coverage).****
Every TV is different and size varies by manufacturer. You will need to measure and see how long of a light strip you need
How many plugs does it come with? Can you cut or attach a new plug?****
The light strip only comes with 1 plug. You can adjust the length of the strip by cutting on the cut lines provided
How is the lighting effect?****
The lighting effect is almost the same as that of Philips, but the price is half cheaper, which is very practical for me.
can the bar itself automatically change its colors synced with a computer monitor?****
No. if you want that, I recommend Philips hue lights
Is this light strip safe to use?****
Compared with other light strips, it is safer, because the outside is covered with a layer of insulator, which can protect the light strip very well.
Will there be an update so the lightbars can display different colors?****
It has different colors now.
How tall is one of the lights stands?****
Without measuring I’m guessing 8″ with stands
How is the quality of this product?****
Quality seemed okay. But I didn’t like the fact both lights had to be the same color.
