HOW TO ASSEMBLE



| Hose Connection


To connect Hose: Insert the Suction Head of the Hose into the Hose Socket and rotate anti-clockwise to tighten.


To disconnect Hose: Hold the Suction Head of the Hose and rotate clockwise to loosen. Pull out the Hose.

WARNINGS

ATTENTION
Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

  2. This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. This appliance is NOT suitable to be used in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the appliance, and never be used to clean the appliance in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

  4. During use and storage, the appliance must be kept at a safe distance from heat sources (open flame, heaters, stoves, etc.).

  5. This appliance must NOT be used for vacuuming burning, smoking, toxic, volatile or flammable substances. The appliance must NOT be used to clear sewers. An explosion may occur if the machine suctions sewer gases. Sewer gases inhalation may lead to unconsciousness and death.

  6. It is NOT recommended to use the appliance for cleaning open stoves or other devices that contains oil or grease, soot, clay dust, plaster or other similar materials that are resistant to water action.

  7. DO NOT vacuum mud, gypsum material, wall powder, blade, kindling, clumps of hair, large pieces of paper and other items such as sharp metal objects as that may make the absorbing inlet, tube, hose and filter get blocked and the motor get burned. An indication of blockage may manifest as an abnormal sound or poor suction. If these small particles were absorbed, please disconnect the power cord and remove them from the dust bag or filter immediately.

  8. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.

  9. The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  10. Place and use the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface. The appliance shall NOT be placed on a surface or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets or plastics.

  11. Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  12. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.

  13. DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters.

  14. The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  15. Any accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons. Always turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting either hose or accessories.

  16. If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should

    • Use the appliance only if the Air Outlet Filter and Dust Cup Filter is installed! This is especially so if the surroundings to be vacuumed is extremely dusty. Failure to do so will only send the dust back out after being suctioned. DO NOT use other filters except the ones (fire prevention filter) attached to the appliance by the manufacturer.

    • Use the appliance only if the turbine (motor) is in a good working condition before turning on this appliance. Failure to do this could cause a risk of injury to persons and would defeat the utility of the appliance.

    • Be extra careful when vacuum cleaning on stairs as the machine might topple.

    • Switch off the appliance and unplug the socket from the electric mains when not in use and before filling, emptying and cleaning the appliance.
      Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its proper functioning.

    • DO NOT:

    • cover the appliance during functioning;

    • obstruct totally nor partially the air outlet with anything that may reduce the suction, such as dust, lint, hair, etc.;

    • insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the appliance; use the appliance near curtains or textiles;

    • carry the machine with your hand while using the machine for cleaning operations;

    • use the appliance for more than 20 minutes without turning it off for at least 10 minutes for a total usage of 2 hours in a single day – failure to heed this

    • warning may result in motor failure; leave the appliance unsupervised during operation Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly. Always unplug

  17. the power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it. DO NOT pull it, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected. Before unplugging the appliance, turn the ‘ON/OFF’ switch on the appliance to ‘OFF’.

  18. Hold the plug when rewinding the power cable. DO NOT allow the plug and the cable to whip around when rewinding. DO NOT use the cable as a handle, pull or carry the appliance by the cable, pull the cable around sharp edges, abrasive surfaces or corners, run the appliance over the cable or close a door on the cable. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces, abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily.

  19. Avoid bending, stamping and dragging the hose. DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner if the hose is damaged.

  20. During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles). DO NOT use the appliance to clean up liquids outdoors, upon an earth floor. If it should be necessary to step on a wet or damp floor to pick up water, do not touch the metallic parts of ANY electric device, lamp or switch while performing this operation.

  21. DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of all unplug immediately the power cable from the socket.

  22. Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance if it is NOT used for a long period, before storing, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.

  23. Avoid carrying out operations which are NOT specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering).

  24. In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance immediately, turn off the power and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.

  25. If smoke is observed coming out of the appliance, unplug the power cable immediately.

  26. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications, such as:

    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • Dormitories;
    • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
    • Bed and breakfast type environment
  27. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.

  28. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

  29. Save these instructions.

HOW TO CLEAN

WARNING: The appliance must NEVER be used without the HEPA filter.
Always place it back after cleaning it. When the suction power decreases, the filter might be clogged. Using the appliance with a clogged filter puts additional strain on the motor. Prompt removal of dust and dirt not only improves the efficiency of the appliance but only extends it’s working life.

| Press the ON/OFF switch to turn the appliance OFF.

Unplug the power cable firmly using dry hands.

| Remove the Air Outlet Cover.

Remove the Filter Case containing the

HEPA F il t er.

Clean the Filter by shaking the Filter free of dust.

Insert the Filter Case and Air Outlet Cover back to their original positions.

Note the correct positioning of the Filter Case when replacing after cleaning.

In the advent that you placed the Filter Case in the wrong direction (as in the picture), place a ruler in the gap between the Filter Case and the shell of the appliance and gently slide the Filter Case out.

| Lift the Lock button to remove the Dust Cup from the main body.

Place the Dust Cup in a vertical position with the Dust Cup Cover (white in colour) at the bottom, directly above a trash bag.

Lift the Dust Cup Cover button slightly and the Dust Cup Cover should rotate downwards, causing the contents of the Dust Cup to fall into the trash bag.

| Separate the parts of the Dust Cup

Holding the Dust Cup in one hand (bottom) and the Handle in the other, twist the Handle anti-clockwise.

Lift the Handle out of the Dust Cup.

Holding the Dust Cup Filter Cover in one hand (bottom) and the Handle in the other, twist the Handle anti-clockwise.

Lift the Handle out of the Dust Cup Filter Cover.

Holding the Dust Cup Filter in one hand (bottom) and the Handle in the other, twist the Handle anti-clockwise.

The Dust Cup Filter is removed.

Rinse the Dust Cup Filter with tap water. Dry the Dust Cup Filter ( HEPA Filter ) by airing it under the Sun.

Reinstating the parts of the Dust Cup

Holding the Dust Cup Filter in one hand (bottom) and the Handle in the other, twist the Handle clockwise. The Dust Cup Filter is attached.

Handle clockwise. The Dust Cup assembly is complete.

Attach the Dust Cup into the main body.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP

This appliance, along with all other electronic appliances, should, when it is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discard the appliance at your local recycling center.
DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

WARRANTY

The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship.
The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorised service centre. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date clearly indicated) must be submitted.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:

  • normal wear and tear
  • if the steps (as laid out in the section regarding Warnings) have not been observed e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
  • if the appliance has not been properly maintained, if force has been used against it or if it has been damaged in any other way damage caused by non-observance of the user manual or non-compliance with the installation instructions
  • errors or faults owing to defects in the distribution system
  • if the appliance has been repaired or modified or changed in any way or by any person not properly authorised
