The PPT45 is an electrical appliance designed for cooking. It comes with several components including a glass door handle, rotisserie rod, bake rack, bake pan, function dial, temperature dial, selector dial, power light, timer dial, tray handle, and rotisserie handle. The function dial allows you to choose between convection, off, rotisserie, and rotisserie & convection modes. The selector dial allows you to choose between top heating, bottom heating, and top & bottom heating modes. The appliance also comes with several safety warnings that should be followed to ensure safe usage.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Read all instructions in the user manual carefully before using the appliance.
  2. Make sure the appliance is placed at a safe distance from heat sources and flammable/explosive substances.
  3. Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly. Always unplug the power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it (DO NOT pull it, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected). Before unplugging the appliance, switch it off using the proper command on the control panel.
  4. During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles).
  5. DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock. In case of an accidental fall in the water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of all unplug immediately the power cable from the socket.
  6.  Place the appliance at a proper distance from objects or surrounding walls making sure that its functioning will not cause accidental damage. There should be at least 10 cm of free space from the back, left & right sides, and the top of the oven. Never put things on top of the oven.
  7. Avoid placing the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be easily damaged.
  8. Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance if it is NOT been used for a long period, before storing, cleaning, or performing any maintenance operation.
  9. Avoid carrying out operations that are NOT specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering).
  10. In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance immediately, turn off the power and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.
  11. The appliance shall NOT be placed on a surface or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets or plastics. When using the oven, the surface that the oven is placed on may become very hot. If the oven is operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.

To use the appliance for cooking:

  1. Choose the desired function mode and heating mode using the function dial and selector dial respectively.
  2. Set the temperature using the temperature dial.
  3. Set the timer using the timer dial.
  4. Place food on the baking rack or bake pan as appropriate.
  5. Insert the bake rack or bake pan into the appliance.
  6. Close the glass door and switch on the appliance using the power light.
  7. Once cooking is complete, switch off the appliance using the proper command on the control panel and unplug the power cable from the socket.

WARNINGS

ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance. Important instructions to be kept for future reference. The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

  2. This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. This appliance is NOT suitable to be used in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapor, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the oven, and never be used to clean the oven in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

  4. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.

  5. The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals, or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  6. Place and use the appliance on a horizontal, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent, or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  7. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.

  8. DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and extension cables; if their use is essential, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters.

  9. The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  10. Any accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons. Use (and store in the oven when not in use) only the accessories provided: bake pan, bake rack, tray handle, and rotisserie set.

  11. During use and storage, the appliance must be kept at a safe distance from heat sources (open flame, ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) or any flammable and/or potentially explosive substances.

  12. If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:

    • Clean the inside of the oven, tray handle, rotisserie set, bake pan and bake rack with water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge. DO NOT use metal scouring pads. Notice: you may use a dishwasher to clean the tray handle, rotisserie set, bake pan and bake rack

    • Ensure that the oven is completely dry before use.

    • The following items should NOT be placed in the oven during heating as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock:

    • oversized foods or metal utensils must NOT be inserted into the appliance;

    • containers constructed of any materials (including but not limited to: cardboard, plastic, paper, etc.) other than metal or glass, and ensure that the containers used are approved for use at the set temperature;

    • metal foil covering the rotisserie set, bake pan, bake rack or any part of the oven as this may cause overheating of the oven.

    • Always wear protective, insulated oven gloves when inserting or removing items from the hot oven.

    • The glass door is heavy, please hold the handle until the door is completely open. DO NOT let the door fall by itself without support.

    • Extreme caution must be used when moving the oven containing hot oil or other hot liquids, or when removing a tray or disposing of hot grease or other hot liquids.
      Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its proper functioning. DO NOT:

    • cover the appliance during functioning;

    • obstruct totally nor partially the air vents;

    • insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the appliance;

    • use the appliance near curtains or textiles;

    • heat foods without removing the wrappers (including plastic, paper or metal) first;

    • switch the oven on if it is empty except during preheating (in order to get better cooking performance, it is recommended to pre-heat the oven for about 10 minutes);

    • move the oven by the glass door handle;
      leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.

  13. Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly.   18. Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance if it is NOT been used for a long period, before storing, cleaning, or performing any maintenance operation. Avoid carrying out operations that are NOT specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering).

  19. In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance immediately, turn off the power, and check the cause of the monster, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.

  20. The appliance shall NOT be placed on a surface or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets or plastics. When using the oven, the surface that the oven is placed on may become very hot. If the oven is operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.

  21. During the period of heating, foods containing a high level of moisture may lead to high-temperature steam being emitted. To avoid scalding:

    • ensure that the oven is correctly positioned before heating;
    • DO NOT open the oven during operation;
    • DO NOT touch any part of the oven except the handle when the oven is hot;
    • one’s hands and face should be angled away from the opening.
  22. DO NOT touch the outside and especially the inside of the oven while it is operating. This is to prevent scalding. The bottom of the oven becomes exceedingly hot as the oven operates.

  23. If smoke is observed coming out of the oven, unplug the power cable immediately. This oven is limited to normal domestic usage. It should NOT be used in the dining rooms of shops, offices, farms, or other working environments. And it should not be used by customers in hotels, motels, guest houses or breakfast rooms, or other accommodation environments without the use of a functioning kitchen.

  24. DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.

  25. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

  26. Save these instructions.

HOW TO USE

  1. Plug the power cable to the electric mains and switch it ON.
  2. Turn the Temperature dial clockwise to the desired cooking temperature.
  3. Turn the Function dial clockwise to the desired operation.
  4. Turn the Selector dial clockwise to select top heating, bottom heating or both. Turn the Timer dial clockwise to the desired cooking duration. Heating will commence immediately.
  5. The power light will light up after timer is turned on, and will go out when the timer is turned to OFF.
  6. When the cooking time is over, the timer will auto-shutoff and the bell will ring.
  7. If you wish to end the heating earlier than the set cooking time, please turn back the timer to OFF to turn off the oven.
  8. In the first use of this oven, there might be some light smoke coming out from the oven. This is normal. After 5 minutes the smoke will disappear.
  9. Turn the Temperature, Selector and Function dials anti-clockwise to OFF and unplug the socket from the electric mains before opening the oven.

GRILL COOKING

  1. Leave the door at the open point.
  2. Turn the Selector dial clockwise to GRILL setting (top heating).
  3. Turn the Temperature dial clockwise to the 250°C setting.
  4. Turn the Timer dial clockwise to the desired cooking duration. Heating will commence immediately.
  5. When the grill cooking is done, turn back the timer to OFF to turn off the oven. Turn the Temperature and Selector dials anti-clockwise to OFF and unplug the socket from the electric mains before opening the oven.

ROTISSERIE USE

  1. Leave the door at the open point.
  2. Insert the spit directly through the center of the food item which you intend to roast.
  3. Put one skewer through the pointed end of the spit, and slide the skewer towards the square end of the spit.
  4. Put the other skewer through the pointed end of the spit, and slide the skewer towards the square end of the spit.
  5. Put the two skewers into the food, and secure both skewers with the thumb screws. Make sure the food is centered horizontally on the spit.
  6. Insert the pointed end of the spit into the drive socket, making sure the square end of the spit rests on the spit support.
  7. Plug the power cable to the electric mains and switch it ON.
  8. Turn the Temperature dial clockwise to 250°C.
  9. Turn the Function dial clockwise to the desired operation: Rotisserie or Rotisserie & Convection.
  10. Turn the Selector dial clockwise to select top heating, bottom heating, or both. Turn the Timer dial clockwise to the desired cooking duration. Heating will commence immediately.
  11. The power light will light up after the timer is turned on and will go out when the timer is turned OFF. (Normally it takes 30 minutes to roast a 2.5 kg / 5.5 lbs chicken).
  12. When the cooking time is over, the timer will auto-shutoff and the bell will ring.
  13. If you wish to end the heating earlier than the set cooking time, please turn back the timer to OFF to turn off the oven.
  14. Turn the Temperature, Selector, and Function dials anti-clockwise to OFF and unplug the socket from the electric mains before opening the oven.
  15. After the oven has cooled, place the hooks of the rotisserie handle under the grooves on both sides of the spit. Lift the right side of the spit first, and move it a fraction to the right, so that the left side of the spit can exit the drive socket. Then carefully move the roasted food out of the oven. Beware NOT to touch the food as it is extremely hot at this moment.
  16. Take the food off the spit.

HOW TO CLEAN

  1. Turn the Temperature, Timer, and Selector dials to OFF and unplug the socket from the electric mains when not in use. Wait until the oven has completely cooled before cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the oven using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
  3. Never immerse the oven in water or other liquids.
  4. Clean the interior chamber with a clean damp cloth.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP

This appliance, along with all other electronic appliances, should, when it is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed of with the least possible environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discard the appliance at your local recycling centre.

DISPOSAL: Do not dispose of this appliance as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

Risk of child or animal entrapment
Before you discard this appliance, please remove all doors and leave the shelves inside so that children or animals may not easily get trapped inside.

WARRANTY

Warranty Conditions

  1. This warranty provides against defective materials and manufacturing faults for two years from the date of purchase of the appliance. The warranty on the Compressor is 10 years subject to the same conditions as above.
  2. This warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, replacement of consumable materials and accessories, and the cost of maintenance of the appliance.
  3. This warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of part/s damaged by misuse, accidents, negligence, alterations, or modifications in any way, or repairs done by any repair organization without the prior consent of PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd.
  4. Repair and service are to be performed at 5 Changi South Lane #03-01 Singapore 486045. A transport fee will be charged for personal doorstep service.
  5. The original purchaser of the appliance must furnish proof of purchase to our Service Centre with the email or number as registered during the submission of the warranty when this appliance is sent for repair/service. Failure to do so may delay the receipt of said repair/service by the customer.
  6. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall the serial number be erased, defaced or altered by the customer and/or his representatives, or the dealer and/or his agents. Failure to ensure this shall invalidate the warranty.
  7. This warranty is deemed to be void if the defect is caused by the attack of household pests, fire, lightning, natural disasters, pollution, abnormal voltage or the usage of generators. This warranty is valid in Singapore only.
  8. This warranty will be honored subject to the customer’s registration of the warranty inclusive of the original invoice or valid purchase receipt. Failure to present these documents will result in denial of service. However, if the customer still requests that the defective appliance be repaired,
  9. PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd may, at its discretion, repair the appliance but impose a labor charge, as well as the costs of the replacement parts, to be borne solely by the customer.
  10. Please refer to the attached picture for the location of one of our appliance’s serial numbers, as an example.

Please complete the online registration warranty form available on our website. There is no further requirement to send us any hard copy as part of our efforts to save the environment. In accordance with the terms and conditions of this limited warranty as stated above, PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd, at its expense shall provide free services for the appliance within the warranty period from its date of purchase from our Authorised dealers.
