As always, we recommend all installation and service to be performed by an authorized Memphis Audio dealer.
For optimal performance, Memphis recommends using only Memphis Connection accessories. Outfitting your system with properly sized Memphis Connection wire and accessories will dramatically boost your listening experience and increase the durability of your Memphis Audio products.

WARNING
For your safety, always inspect the mounting location carefully to ensure you are not drilling into any electrical, hydraulic, fuel or fluid lines. Always check your speaker load with a multi-meter before connecting the amplifier. Connecting any speaker load lower than the rated impedance of the amplifier will result in damage to the amplifier. Damage of this nature is NOT covered under warranty. Please pay close attention to what connections are made to the amplifier.

MOUNTING & INSTALLATION

  • Choose a mounting location that will not interfere with normal operation of the vehicle. Be certain the unit does not interfere with the driver’s ability to safely operation the vehicle.
  • Be certain the installation location will not cause any safety issues for drivers or passengers. Make sure there is adequate room for both the driver and passenger to avoid contacting the unit if the vehicle were to come to an abrupt stop.
  • Avoid installing the unit where it will be subject to high temperatures such as direct sunlight, hot air from the heater, or anywhere subject to excessive dust, dirt, water or vibration.
  • Check the installation location for any electric, fuel, hydraulic or any other potentially dangerous items.
  • Before installing the unit, connect the wiring temporarily and make certain the system works properly. If the system does not work, check the connections again. Do not begin the installation process if the unit does not function properly.
  • Do not begin drilling your vehicle unless the unit is working properly and the mounting location is safe.
  • Disconnect unit prior to installation and move unit away from installation area to avoid accidental damage.
  • Use only the parts included with this unit to complete the installation. The use of unauthorized parts can cause malfunctions and damage to the unit and your vehicle. Using unauthorized parts in the installation may void the warranty.
  • Consult your nearest Memphis Audio dealer if you have any concerns about cutting or drilling your vehicle, modification of a vehicle should be left to an authorized Memphis Audio dealer to avoid accidental damage to your vehicle.
  • Once a suitable location has been located you are ready to use the included mounting template to mark the location for your hole.
  • The hole size is 3 inches (76.2mm).
  • After marking and drilling the hole carefully, you will need to use the metal mounting bracket to secure the unit in the hole. If the bracket needs to be shortened, remove the appropriate number of breakaway segments using a pair of pliers.

*Note: Mounting depth is 100mm but room is required for wires and connections.
Check available depth prior to mounting.
Measure before cutting and be certain you will not be drilling into any items that will damage your vehicle.

PAIRING DEVICES

In Bluetooth mode, device will be automatically discoverable. Open Bluetooth settings on your Bluetooth device and search for SMC3. Connect device to SMC3 on your Bluetooth device to pair.

SMC3 MOUNTING TEMPLATE

NOTE: Memphis Audio recommends using a 3” hole saw to perform this cut.

If you are in any way uncomfortable or uncertain about cutting into your vehicle it is strongly recommended that you visit your local authorized Memphis Audio dealer to complete the installation.

WARRANTY

Electronics limited warranty (including Memphis accessories) When purchased from an Authorized Memphis Dealer, Memphis warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from date of original purchase (receipt required),THREE (3)YEARS years if installed by
an authorized Memphis dealer (receipt required). If this product is identified as “Refurbished” or “B Goods”, the warranty is limited to a period of THREE (3) MONTHS from date of original purchase. In all cases you must have the original receipt. Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the warranty period, Memphis will repair or replace (at its discretion) the defective merchan-dise with equivalent merchandise. Warranty replacements may have cosmetic scratches and blemishes. Discontin-ued products may be replaced with more current equivalent products. Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties are limited in duration to a period of the express warranty as provided herein beginning with the date of the original purchase at retail, and no warranties, whether express or implied, shall apply to this product thereafter.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
