Important Safeguards

1. 1. Read all instructions.
- Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee maker.
- Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or in abnormal state. If its main cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the nearest service agent or a qualified person.
- The use of any accessory is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer. It may result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug, never pull the cord.
- Do not use this appliance for other than the intended use and place it in a dry environment.
- Do not leave the coffee maker unattended while it is operating, the appliance cannot be operated by children.
- Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
- Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
- Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks. Use the carafe provided with this appliance. Do not substitute another carafe from a different make or model. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
- Never use your coffee maker without water in it.
- Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Save these instructions.
Your Coffee Maker
Please study these operating instructions before using the coffee maker. By following them carefully, and by paying special attention to the safety instructions, you will ensure that this coffee maker will go on making perfect coffee for years to come.
Product Usage Instructions
- Using The Machine For The First Time:
- Before making coffee, use the coffee maker once with water only (without coffee or filter paper).
- Insert the plug into the socket.
- Fill the carafe with cold water, turn to open the funnel cover, pour water from the cup into the water tank, and turn back the funnel cover to its original position.
- Place the carafe in its original position.
- Start the brewing process by pressing the On/Off switch.
- To Make Coffee:
- Turn to open the funnel cover and fill the water tank with as much water as cups of coffee are desired.
- Ensure the water level must not exceed the max level mark inside the water tank.
- Turn back the funnel.
- The water level display in the carafe indicates the number of cups.
- Turn to open the funnel cover, put sufficient ground coffee as you require into the permanent filter or proper paper filter before making coffee. (Take 10~12 g medium fine ground coffee per cup).
- Turn back the funnel cover.
- Ensure that the carafe is placed properly in its position.
- Switch on the appliance and the pilot lamp illuminates, to indicate the unit is on.
- After the brewing process, turn the coffee maker off and take away the carafe.
Household use only
USING THE MACHINE FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Before making coffee you should use the coffee maker once with water only (without coffee or filter paper).

TO MAKE COFFEE
- Turn to open the Funnel cover and fill the water tank with as much water as cups of coffee are desired.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth only.
- The carafe can be cleaned with warm water, some washing-up liquid and a soft brush. Do not clean the carafe in a dishwasher
DESCALING
To make sure that your coffee maker goes on producing perfect coffee you will need, from time to time, to descale it. Frequency will depend on how hard the water is in your area, and how often you use the coffee maker. If you use your coffee maker once or twice a day, it is recommended that the maker be cleaned every 6-8 weeks. If the time it takes to brew a cup of coffee increases suddenly, it is recommended that the coffee maker is descaled. The harder the water is in your area, the more often the coffee maker needs to be descaled. You can seek advice about the hardness of your water from your local waterworks.
ENVIRONMENTAL TIP
This appliance, along with all other electronic appliances, should, when it is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discharge the appliance at your local recycling center. Grounds and coffee filters may be disposed via a compost container.
CAUTION
The electrical voltage must correspond with the voltage stated on the label on the bottom of the appliance.

Use only cold water!

Ensure the carafe is placed properly in its position when brewing coffee.

Between brewing processes, switch offthe appliance and let it cool down for about 5 minutes. Then refill with cold water.

After the brewing process, always switch offthe appliance.

Disconnect the appliance before cleaning.

To switch offthe appliance, use the On/Offswitch.

The control lamp going out indicates when the machine is off.

The appliance must not be immersed.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. -
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
